WCW Thunder (August 10, 2006)

WCW Thunder
August 10, 2006
Minneapolis, MN
Target Center

Fireworks explode and the Nitro girls are dancing to the sounds of AC/DC and "Thunderstruck!". It's WCW Thunder and it's on the air. We go to ringside where Scott Hudson and Brian Adams are standing by. Hudson and Adams welcome us to the show. Things are wild in WCW right now. Hulk Hogan returned to WCW last Monday night on Nitro and revealed that Eric Bischoff is not the 100% owner that he claims to be. Hogan used his influence and connections to discover who the mysterious co-owner was and that person has agreed to allow Hogan to have control of his stock. Hogan didn't take control, but is instead turning over control to a mysterious third party who will be debuting tonight as the new co-owner of WCW. Adams & Hudson speculate as to who the new representative for WCW will be.

We go to Gary Michael Cappetta for the first match.

"YOUR NEW ADDICTION" KRAZY K versus "WILDFIRE" TOMMY RICH

Quick action by Kirby as he just runs circles around the former NWA Champion. Rich manages to get in some offense and scores with a neckbreaker and then a suplex to get a couple of two counts. Rich attempts a "Thesz Press" and Kirby holds on, catching Rich with the top rope for a hot-shot! Victory roll by Krazy K and referee Russ Cherico counts to three.
Winner: "YOUR NEW ADDICTION" KRAZY K

We go backstage and Eric Bischoff is hollering at everyone in sight. He wants things ready for when the new "Face of Authority" of WCW will be debuting. Joel Gertner is there and asks Eric how's it going! Eric says that he plans on showing this new guy that Hogan is a liar and a scoundrel. Eric plans to charm the new "co-owner" and keep control of his company. Gertner wishes him good luck! Gertner has something to ask for the Giant and for Booker T. Eric saw how, at Nitro, the Horsemen came down and attacked everyone including The Giant, and even Sean O'Haire's partner, The Rock. Joel wants matches for tonight with The Giant and Booker and Booker's brother, Stevie Ray versus The Horsemen. Eric says OK and asks if they want singles or tag matches? Gertner doesn't care. So Eric makes two matches for tonight - it will be "The Giant" taking on Tully Blancard... and the team of Stevie Ray & Booker T taking on Charlie Haas & Lex Luger. Eric tells Gertner to go let Giant and Harlem Heat know about the matches. Now he has things to do. Eric hollers at a technician while Gertner leaves to spread the news.

We go to video and see the end of the Sting / Brian Adams match versus Riggs & Bagwell which shows April Hunter interfering with the chair and both Sting and Adams are left laid out in the ring.

We go back to the ring and here comes BUFF BAGWELL, SCOTTY RIGGS & APRIL HUNTER. Bagwell and Riggs are cocky and full of themselves as they talk about how they left Brian Adams and Sting beaten like dogs on Nitro. Buff points at Adams at the announce table and says that they evidently didn't do a good enough job at Nitro because Adams is still here running his mouth on commentary.

Buff & Riggs climb out of the ring and approach the announce table where Adams is sitting. Adams is up and ready for a fight. Before anything can happen, Riggs & Buff back off. Sting has come through the crowd and is now behind Adams and Scott Hudson. Adams and Sting challenge Riggs & Buff to fight now that the sides are even. Riggs & Bagwell decline the inviatation and head towards the back as we go to a commercial.

A video promo airs - coming on August 25th - it's WCW Clash of the Champions...

Backstage, Terri Runnels is with the new WCW World Tag Team Champions, ETHAN STORM & VAMPIRO, along with their manager, Jimmy Valiant. Terri asks asbout the way they won the titles, with tons of blatant interference by Soce and Elementalz. Terri wants to know if there was cohesion between Valiant's team and Soce's warriors? Valiant says that he and Soce "may have had a business arrangement", but that doesn't matter. Storm and Vampiro ARE the WCW Tag Team Champions and will be the champions for a long time to come! Terri then asks about the upcoming title match for later tonight, as Storm and Vampiro are defending the titles against Valiant's former proteges in Evan Karagias & Elix Skipper.

The Boogie Man says that the jey word here is "former". He tried to make stars out of Karagias and Skipper, but they weren't up to the task. Valiant had to take Karagias and beat him like a dog in the ring at Road Wild and the champions are going to beat him again tonight!

Storm talks briefly about dreams come true and how no one expected it, but he and Vampiro are the WCW World Tag Team Champions.. and if anyone wants to fight them, line up because Storm has the "power of the punch" and they plan to keep those titles for a long time to come! Valiant, Storm and Vampiro walk off, headed towards the ring..

We go to Gary Michael Cappetta for the next match...

WCW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
ETHAN STORM & VAMPIRO (c) w/ Jimmy Valiant versus EVAN KARAGIAS & "PRIMETIME" ELIX SKIPPER

Lots of quick action that sees Skipper and Karagias dominate the beginning of the match with their speed and quick tags. Karagias is still bandaged up as a result of the street-fight with Valiant from Road Wild. A knee to the guts by Vampiro manages to slow Karagias down and Vampiro & Storm take over with a brutal beating and doubleteam in their corner. This continues for a few minutes and Evan looks like a beaten man, but he manages to kick out of several pin attempts by Vampiro and Storm. Evan manages to leapfrog a backdrop attempt and do the hot-tag to Skipper who comes in and cleans house on Vampiro and Storm. Valiant climbs on the ring apron and Skipper nails him as well. "Primetime" looks ready to take it home until we see a brutal shot with the brass knucks from out of nowhere by Storm. Storm tosses the knucks to Valiant while Vampiro distracts the referee and covers Skipper. Referee Russ Cherico counts the pin.
Winners and still champions: ETHAN STORM & VAMPIRO w/ Jimmy Valiant

We go backstage and see Soce and the Elementalz congratulating Ethan Storm, Vampiro and Jimmy Valiant on their successful title defense. Hugh Morrus & Tank Abbott don't seem especially thrilled about it, but Soce, Rico and Puder are all congratulatory and exchanging hugs with Valiant and his team, so they join in as well.

After Valiant and the champs walk off, Morrus stops Soce and wants to know what that was all about? "We should be beating their asses and taking out titles back, not hugging or congratulating them!" Soce tells Hugh that he has it all under control. He's working on a plan that will bring the tag team titles back to the Elementalz camp, and make them stronger than ever! Abbott and Morrus don't get it, but Rico steps in and tells them that they "don't have to get it! Just do what they're told!" We see Hugh and Tank trade a look as Rico turns around to talk to Soce and Puder. They need to go get ready for their match tonight. Puder, Rico and Soce walk off without a word, leaving Abbott and Morrus standing there watching.

We go to Gary Michael Cappetta for the next match.

CARMELLA DeCESARE, SABLE & STRAWBERRY FIELDS
versus
JOY GIOVANNI, CHRISTY HEMME & SELINA MAJORS

It's Six Diva action that is thankfully quick as it's mostly the ladies trading punches and kicks. The team of Sable, Strawberry and Carmella do quite a bit of teaming up on Joy and then Christy to control the first part of the match. Hemme manages to level Carmella with a clothesline and tag in Selina Majors, who cleans house with backdrops and clotheslines on all her opponents. Bulldog by Selina on Strawberry and she covers to get the pin.
Winners: JOY GIOVANNI, CHRISTY HEMME & SELINA MAJORS

We go backstage and see WCW Women's Champion Ivory watching the match on a moniter. Amy Dumas comes up to Ivory and comments on the ladies that just wrestled. "Checking out your competition, Lisa?", says Amy. Ivory admits that she was and mentions that Selina Majors is looking pretty tough. Amy tells Ivory that she doesn't need to worry about Selina or any of the other girls. "Just hang on to that belt until I'm ready to come and get it!" Ivory looks and Amy and smirks, "Just come on down and try your luck!" The two ladies exchange a cold, hard look before Amy walks off.

We go back to Gary Michael Cappetta for the next match...
DANIEL PUDER & RICO w/ Soce the Elemental Wizard versus LODI & COLT CABANA

A brutal, yet quick match that has Colt and Lodi taking the early advantage, working over Rico and sing quick tags to keep the advantage. Puder gets tagged in and takes Colt down with some amatuer style moves and then Daniel focuses in on the arm. Cabana manages to escape to the ropes, but Puder is relentless and keeps after the arm of Colt. Colt hits a jawbreaker and tags off to Lodi. Lodi with the power-moves on Puder and a big slam. Rico plants a kick into Lodi's back from the outside as he comes off the ropes, stunning him. Puder moves in and cinches in the Kimura Keylock. Lodi fights, but is forced to tap out as referee Parker Paige calls for the bell.
Winners: DANIEL PUDER & RICO w/ Soce the Elemental Wizard

Rico and Puder go after Cabana and toss him to the floor. Puder then moves back to Lodi and locks the Kimura back into place. Here comes Mike Youngblood and Eric Angle from the back and into the ring. Puder, Rico and Soce see them coming and duck out of the ring and to the floor to escape.

We come back and Eric Bischoff is still hollering at everyone backstage. WCW Senior Referee Tommy Young approaches Eric. Eric snaps at Tommy, "What?" Tommy informs Eric that Hulk Hogan, Gary Juster and the new "Co-Owner" of WCW have arrived and they're waiting in Eric's office. Eric moves from the angry face to a big smile and says that he should probably go meet with them then. Eric walks off towards his office as Young watches.

Terri Runnels is backstage and talking to former WCW Champion and wrestling Icon, Sting. Sting says that he's not sure what kind of games that Scotty Riggs and Buff Bagwell are trying to play, but they roused a sleeping dragon. Sting was home with his family and happy and didn't have a care in the world... until he started getting phone calls about "why was he back at WCW?" Sting was contacted by Brian Adams and they realized that someone was trying to cash in on Stinger's reputation and name. They investigated and solved the mystery of who - Scotty Riggs. They still don't know why, but it all ends now! Sting has a challenge for Riggs! One on one - Sting versus Scott Riggs at the Clash of the Champions on August 25th. Riggs wants to pretend to be Sting... well, now he has to deal with the real thing. So if Riggs has the guts, it's Showtime folks!

We go to the ring and Gary Michael Cappetta for the next match...

STEVIE RAY & BOOKER T w/ Sharmell - HARLEM HEAT versus CHARLIE HAAS & "THE TOTAL PACKAGE" LEX LUGER w/ Woman

Brutal match as Booker and Stevie quickly demonstrate why they're mutiple time tag team champions. Luger and Haas have a hard time in the beginning on getting their act together as this is the first time they've teamed up, but they manage to isolate Stevie in their corner and brutalize him with some vicious double-teaming. Stevie manages to fight back and escape the corner and tag in Booker. Booker unleashes some leg lariats and punches and flattens Lex with a dropkick to the face. Haas counter with a dropkick of his own that sends Booker reeling. It's all beginning to break down as all four men are in the ring fighting. Woman tries to reach into the ring and trip up Booker, but Sharmell stops her with a big slap across the face. Referee Brent Robinson is trying to restore order, but it's just not happening and he calls for the bell.
Winners: NO CONTEST - BOTH TEAMS ARE DISQUALIFIED..

Here comes C.W. Anderson, Tully Blancard & Barry Windham from the back to aid their fellow Horsemen and make it a five on two attack on Harlem Heat! This continues for a few seconds when here comes The Giant. He quickly clears the ring of the Horsemen and helps Booker and Stevie to their feet! The Giant points at Tully and symbolizes the choke slam as we go to commercial.

We come back and Gary Michael Cappetta is in the ring. He wants to introduce the owner of WCW, Mr. Eric Bischoff. Eric comes to the ring, along with actor Jason Hervey. Eric wants to clear some things up. Eric never said he was the sole owner of WCW - he owns 50% of the company with his business partner, Jason Hervey. Hervey waves to the crowds. The other 50% of WCW belongs to a conglomerate of businessmen who somehow, Hulk Hogan has managed to con into thinking that Eric doesn't represent their best interests. Eric has done nothing but make money and bust his ass for these guys since bringing back WCW. But again, because of the meddling of Hulk Hogan, they've decided that Eric needs a partner to run WCW - a person with equal authority! Eric's not happy about the whole concept, but he will do it! After all, he managed to work with Vince McMahon and boss him around for four years. Eric worked with Steve Austin and had Austin bringing him his coffee. Eric has worked alongside the biggest egos in the business, Dusty Rhodes, Ric Flair, Bill Watts, Stephanie, Triple H, etc.. Eric peels off name after name and says that he can work with anyone! And he will... and WCW will continue to prosper and grow. So whoever this new mystery partner is, bring him or her out because Eric doesn't care! This is HIS company and nothing will change that.

"Real American" hits and here comes Hulk Hogan to the ring, along with son Nick, daughter Brooke and wife, Linda. Hulk glares at Eric and starts to talk about how Bischoff had everyone fooled. They thought he had changed when he brought back WCW, but as usual, Eric is a lying, two-faced snake. Eric conned others out of their money and used it to satisfy his ego. That was OK until Eric decided to jump on the Hulkster. Hogan made WCW and made Pro Wrestling! So long as he and Bischoff stayed on the same page, they were unbeatable. But Eric's ego demanded that he try to punk out Hogan. Who's the punk now? Hogan goes on about how his son, Nick went undercover as a double-agent and provided Hulk with the names of Eric's investors. Hogan contacted these people and made them realize that Eric doesn't care about them or their money or even WCW. It's all about Eric. So now, someone else is coming to represent these investors interest. Hogan puts over this new guy as someone "I don't like very much, but he's forgotten more about pro wrestling than you ever knew, Bischoff!" Hogan is ready to introduce the new "Face of Authority" for WCW when music hits.... "Hail to the Chief"

Here comes the former Governor of Minnesota, Jesse "The Body Ventura out from the back and towards the ring. Everyone is stunned and the crowd erupts as we cut to a commercial...

(commercial)

We come back and the crowd has began to settle down as Jesse Ventura has the mic. Ventura first addresses Hulk Hogan. He was going to wait for the introduction by Hogan, but the way Hogan was rambling on and on, Jesse felt he might die of old age before Hogan gets around to it. Besides, he didn't want to hear any more of Hogan's egomanical rantings. Jesse now remembers why he never liked Hogan.. he's an egotistical jackass who only hit it big after he started pretending be Jesse Ventura.

Jesse mumbles something to Hogan away from the mic and then turns to Eric Bischoff, who is smiling broadly and loving watching Hogan get shot down. Jesse talks about Eric.. "a man I've known for over 20 years" and then Jesse calls Eric a liar. "You can tell when Eric is lying because his lips are moving!". The WCW investors needed someone to look after their interests in WCW and what better person than the man who calls it like it is and has experience dealing with politicians, crooks and other charlatans - Jesse "The Mind" Ventura. He will be at every Nitro and every Thunder and every WCW PPV event.. and he will walk the walk and talk the talk. Ventura tells Bischoff that he will watch every move that Eric makes and if he, Jesse Ventura, doesn't feel it's best for WCW - expect Jesse to pull out the "VETO" and over-rule it!

Eric starts to argue, but Jesse quickly stops him. This is Minnesota and Jesse used to be the Governor here. Does Eric really want to piss him off? They're partners now and the best thing that Eric can do is shut his mouth and make sure he watches his P's & Q's... Eric backs off and Ventura announces a new era for WCW because "The Mind" is here to stay!

We come back and Jesse Ventura has joined Scott Hudson and Brian Adams at ringside to call the action on the next match... the main event.

We go to Gary Michael Cappetta..

THE GIANT w/ Joel Gertner versus TULLY BLANCARD w/ Woman, Lex Luger & Barry Windham

Ventura quickly stands up and asserts his authority. Anyone who doesn't have a managers license is banned from ringside! Windham and Luger are reluctant to leave, but Jesse quickly orders them to leave once more or they will be fined and suspended indefinitely. Windham and Luger leave and Tully and Woman are on their own. The Giant is all smiles. Woman is up and on the ring apron screaming at the Giant. Tully attacks from behind and clips the knee before clubbing away at the much bigger man. Tully rips at the eyes and pounds away. The Giant quickly grows incensed and just shoves Blancard away. Tully quickly comes back with more punches and kicks, but The Giant shoves him away again. Tully tries to come back a third time, but runs right into a headbutt by the Giant. Huge slam by the Giant and Tully is just laying there, unable to move. The Giant smiles as he picks him up and signals for the chokeslam. Woman tries to get into the ring, but Joel Gertner grabs her from the outside and prevents Woman from entering the ring. The Giant picks up Blancard and slams him to the mat with the chokeslam. Cover and pin as referee Tommy Young makes the count.
Winner: THE GIANT w/ Joel Gertner

Women rushes in to check on Tully as Gertner raises the arm of the Giant. Hudson says that we're out of time and thanks the fans for watching..

THE END!

WCW Monday Nitro (August 7, 2006)

WCW Monday Nitro
August 7, 2006
St. Paul, Minnesota

Explosions and fireworks fill the air as WCW Monday Nitro comes on to the air. The Nitro Girls are in the ring dancing as Tony Schiavone, "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko and "Kona Crush" Brian Adams welcome the fans to another edition of WCW Monday Nitro. It's another huge show as they have two big matches signed already as The Giant will be taking on Booker T - and Brian Adams will leave the announce position to team with the man known as "Sting" to take on the returning Scotty Riggs and Buff Bagwell.

Adams talks briefly about the events from the previous night at Road Wild and how he exposed the identity of the imposter Sting to be Scotty Riggs. Bagwell decided to get involved as well, twice and this led to the real Sting coming out and making the save for Adams. Tonight, Adams & Sting will take out Buff & Riggs before they can cause any problems here in WCW.

Music hits and here comes the owner of WCW, Eric Bischoff, to the ring. He's accompanied by his "son", Nick Hogan and is not in a good mood. He wants to address the fans. Hulk Hogan has told everyone that he will be coming to Nitro tonight. And Hogan claims that he has a big announcement. Well, Eric has news for Hulk. This is HIS show - and HIS company. And if Hogan wants to make an announcement, he can do it from the sidewalk in front of the arena, because Eric has instructed security to not allow Hulk into the building. There will be NO Hulk Hogan tonight. NO Linda Hogan or Brooke Hogan either. The only Hogan allowed in WCW is Eric's "son", Nick! Eric gives Nick a fatherly hug when we hear, "If you smell.. what The Rock is cooking!"

Here comes the Rock out on the rampway as the audience roars it's approval. Rock comes to the ring and gets the mic. He compares Bischoff to a "pus-infected monkey's nipple" and says that "The Great One has an announcement!" He's talked to his agents and his friends in Hollywood and has cleared his schedule for a a few months so that he can concentrate on wrestling here in WCW. Eric says, "That's great" and moves to take the mic away from Rock, but Rock stops him! He's not finished. He's cleared his schedule and will be concentrating on wrestling - especially on August 25th...when the Rock will be challenging Sean O'Haire for the WCW World Championship at Clash of the Champions.

Eric interupts again. "Who made this match? I'm the boss here! And I make the matches.. not you!" Before Rock can respond again, here comes the WCW World Champion, Sean O'Haire, along with Dawn Marie - out to the rampway. O'Haire heard what the Rock has to say and he wants to respond. As for Rock's challenge to wrestle for the WCW World Championship at Clash of the Champions.. Sean says, "I accept!". The fans pop big for that!

Eric speaks up again. That match will not happen. He's the boss and he owns WCW. O'Haire wrestles who Eric wants him to wrestle - and that's the top stars of WCW - and not some "two-bit, broken down, straight to video Hollywood reject!" Rock smiles as Eric utters these words. Eric notices the smile on Rock's face and wants to know what Rock is smiling at. Rock laughs and says that he was laughing at Eric making a total jackass of himself! Eric turns red and gets in Rock's face. Rock grabs Eric and slams him hard to the mat with the Rock-Bottom. People's Elbow by Rock as he crashes down hard on Eric Bischoff. The crowd erupts in applause and even O'Haire smiles and claps on the rampway! Rock gets the mic. At the Clash of the Champions, on August 25th - it's O'Haire versus The Rock!... if you smellll what the Rock... is cooking!

(commercial)

We come back from commercial and Eric Bischoff is in the back being tended to by the medics. He tells Nick that he's had it with Rock and O'Haire. This is the second night in a row that Rock has laid his hands on him. Niick suggests that Eric just fire the Rock, but Eric says "No! The Rock is a major superstar and brings in way too much money for WCW." Besides, he has a better idea. He tells Nick to go get Booker T and The Giant. "But they're wrestling each other tonight!", Nick says. Eric doesn't care. He wants them in his office as soon as possible. Nick leaves to find Booker & The Giant as Eric watches.

We go back to the ring. In the ring are "The Elementalz", Soce the Elemental Wizard, Hugh Morrus, Tank Abbott, Daniel Puder & the WCW World TV Champion, Rico. Soce wants to talk about last night at WCW ROAD WILD. It was not a good night for the Elementalz! The swerve that he and Rico pulled on Mike Youngblood worked perfectly and Rico retained his TV Championship. But in their other matches, things didn't go quite so well. He mentions about Morrus & Abbott losing the tag team titles to Kanyon & Marty Jannetty. The video is shown from the night before from The Main Event - and we see blatant interference by Diamond Dallas Page to allow Kanyon and Jannetty to score the win and win the titles. Soce has spoken to the boss, Eric Bischoff earlier in the day, and although Eric would not strip Kanyon and Jannetty of the titles and return them to the true champions, Morrus & Tank, Eric did agree that a rematch was in order. And at the Clash of the Champions on August 25th, there will be a rematch for the WCW World Tag Team Championships between Jannetty & Kanyon versus Abbott & Morrus.. and it will be a "Wizard's Rules" match. Soce vows that Abbott & Tank will get the WCW World Tag Team Titles back! We hear Morrus mention that Jannetty & Kanyon might not even make it to the Clash if he and Tank have anything to say about it!

Soce has one more matter to address. Last night at Road Wild, Daniel Puder was pinned by Scott Hall. Soce says that it's his fault that Puder lost. He was distracted by Mike Youngblood attacking Soce outside the ring and Hall took advantage for an illegal and unfair pin. Puder tells Soce that it wasn't his fault! And Puder isn't even blaming Scott Hall. Hall took advantage of a situation and won the match. Puder applauds Hall for his initiative! Puder blames Mike Youngblood! How dare that punk lay his hands on Soce? How dare that punk cost him a match? He has news for Mike Youngblood. "Your health insurance had better be paid up, because tonight, you're going to the hospital!" Puder announces that for later tonight, Eric Bischoff has made a match between himself and Youngblood - and for Youngblood daring to lay his hands on Soce, he's next!

Rico gets on the mic. He's all smiles as he proudly holds up the WCW World Television Championship. Youngblood thought he had it all worked out. But he didn't count on the skills of Rico and the mind of Soce. Youngblood was a tool and after Puder finishes him tonight, he'll be nothing but a memory! As for Rico, it's time to move on and be the fighting champion that he is.... so he's issuing an open challenge to anyone in the back who wants to wrestle him for his title.

Music hits and here comes Colt Cabana to the ramp. Rico is laughing and all of the Elementalz are pointing and laughing to themselves as Colt gets the mic. Colt heard Rico issue the challenge and he's accepting! And Rico is laughing now, but he won't be laughing in a few minutes when Colt is the new TV Champion. More words are exchanged as we go to commercial.

We come back and join the match already in progress.

WCW WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
RICO w/ soce the elemental wizard versus COLT CABANA

The announcers note that Hugh Morrus, Tank Abbott & Daniel Puder have all remained at ringside for this match and are outside the ring along with Soce. Colt is all over Rico and pounding away with punches in the corner. Rico with a martial arts kick that catches Colt in the stomach. Rico with more kicks and a chop. Colt with a DDT for two, as Abbott puts Rico's leg on the ropes to break up the pin attempt! Colt argues with Abbott and Morrus at ringside. Rico tries to take advantage and roll-up Colt from behind, but Colt rolls through and scores a two count of his own once more. The action continues as Colt grows more and more frustrated at the antics of Rico's teammates at ringside. In the end, Rico gets caught by a big DDT by Colt and Colt covers. Referee Hage Patel is on the far side of the ring arguing with Soce and Abbott, who have climbed up on the ring apron for a distraction. As Soce grabs the referee to keep him busy, Puder is in the ring and levels Cabana with a facebuster. Morrus flies from the top and hits a quick moonsault on Cabana - it's "No Laughing Matter". Soce finally releases the referee who turns around to see Rico crawling and covering the beaten-down Cabana. Rico covers and the referee counts three.
Winner and still WCW WORLD TV CHAMPION: RICO w/ Soce the Elemental Wizard & The Elementalz...

The rest of the wrestlers join Rico in the ring. Soce directs traffic as Morrus & Abbott pick up Cabana and double-slam him to the mat. Puder moves in and locks in the Kimura Keylock on Cabana, but before he can really lock in it, here comes Mike Youngblood from the back with a steel chair. Puder, Rico and the Elementalz clear the ring as Youngblood is swinging the chair at anyone and everyone! The Elementalz flock around Rico and Soce and raise Rico's arm in victory as they head up the rampway.

We come back and Eric Bischoff is talking to The Giant, Joel Gertner, Booker T & Sharmell in his office. He knows that they were scheduled to have a match between them tonight, but he has a better idea. How about Booker & The Giant teaming up to take on The Rock and WCW World Champion Sean O'Haire in the main event tonight? Giant doesn't care just as long as he gets his hands on O'Haire. He wants a rematch with O'Haire and he wants it soon! Eric mentions that if either he or Booker managed to hurt O'Haire or the Rock tonight, it would go a long way in helping Eric determine a new # 1 Contender for O'Haire's title. Booker and Giant briefly talk among themselves and agree to the match tonight.

We go now to Terri Runnels who is standing by with the NEW WCW World Tag Team Champions, Kanyon and Marty Jannetty. They talk about the match at the Clash and speculate what "Wizard Rules" just might be. Kanyon says that it doesn't matter what kind of stunts that Morrus, Abbott and that Bow-Wow wannabe, Soce, pull out of Soce's wizard's hat - the belts are staying with Jannetty & Kanyon. Jannetty says that they will be fighting champions and have already agreed to defend the titles tonight against a hot young team in Ethan Storm and Vampiro, along with their manager, Jimmy Valiant. The Champs talk about restoring honor and credibility to the titles and end the segment by thanking the fans for their support.

We go now to David Penzer at ringside for the next match.

3 on 1 HANDICAP MATCH
LUNA VACHON versus SABLE, STRAWBERRY FIELDS & KRISSY VAINE

Schiavone and the announces put over how this match was made by WCW Owner to punish Luna for her unprofessional behavior after losing to Ivory at the Road Wild PPV. Sable & Strawberry quickly attack Luna and do the double-team to beat her down while Vaine distracts referee Parker Paige and keeps him occupied. Luna ducks a double-clothesline and plants both Sable and Strawberry to the mat with a double-DDT. Luna goes over and pulls Vaine into the ring as well with a big suplex. Luna is in a bezerker rage as she lets out a big scream and tosses Vaine through the ropes to the floor. Luna takes Strawberry and flings her through the ropes as well. Sable is back up now and catches Luna with a big kick to the stomach. Sable does the grind and signals for the Sable-Bomb. Luna rips at the eyes and scores with a facebuster. A cover by Luna for two as Vaine and Fields are in to break it up. The two women stomp and kick away at Luna. Sable is up and joins in, making it a three-on-one beatdown. Sable hits the Sable-Bomb and gets the pin.
Winners: SABLE, STRAWBERRY FIELDS & KRISSY VAINE

We see Terri Runnels outside the dressing room of The Horsemen. The door opens and here comes The Horsemen, old and new as WCW World Champion Sean O'Haire, Tully Blancard, C.W. Anderson, Lex Luger, Barry Windham, Charlie Haas, Dawn Marie & Woman all file out. Terri asks O'Haire about the match that Bischoff has made that has him teaming with the Rock against Booker & The Giant. O'Haire says that so long as Rock holds up his end of the team, there will be no problems. Aside from that, he has no comment. Terri wants to know what the Horsemen are planning for the future. Tully answers, "We plan to win titles, win matches, and represent the elite of professional wrestling!". Jarrett asks if the Horsemen are through with Jeff Jarrett? Lex says that the Horsemen gave Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner the beating of a lifetime last night at Road Wild and taught them the 11th commandment! So far as they're concerned, Jarrett is past history! It's time to concentrate on the future! Terri appears confued, "The 11th Commandment?" Haas answers her question, "You know the other 10, right? Thall shall not kill! Honor thy mother and father!, etc. Well, the 11th is probably the most important of all." "What is it?", Terri asks! Woman replies, "Thall shall not mess with the Horsemen!" All the wrestlers raise their fingers in the air in the sign of "The Horsemen" and walk off as Terri sends it back to ringside and David Penzer..

ANTONIO & ROMEO - THE HEART THROBS versus THE ZOMBIE & NACHO LIBRE

Complete squash match as Antonio and Romeo take control from the opening bell and just run over these two characters with a series of high-impact double-team moves. Antonio and Romeo hit the high-low and pick up the easy pin as Romeo pins Nacho.
Winners: THE HEART THROBS

We go out back behind the arena and see a long white limo pulling in.

(commercial)

We come back from commercial and Eric Bischoff and his security guards have surrounded the limo. Eric is demanding that the passenger come out and face him. He keeps callling, "Hogan! You're not getting in the arena, Hulk!" The door to the limo opens and out steps SCOTTY RIGGS and BUFF BAGWELL, along with APRIL HUNTER. Eric's jaw drops! It's not Hogan! Riggs & Bagwell thank Eric for the wonderful reception and walk inside the arena as we see a close-up of Eric and he's very irrate! Where is Hulk Hogan?

We go to the ring and it's time for Disco Inferno and his talk-segment, "STUDIO 54".. Disco does a few dance steps and then introduces his guest for the night... please welcome Wrestling Legend and Hall of Famer GREG "THE HAMMER" VALENTINE. Valentine comes to the ring. Disco acts respectful at the beginning as he talks about Valentine's career - the numerous tag team titles and all of the other titles, the legendary Dog-Collar match against Roddy Piper at the first Starcade, etc. Disco talks about how Valentine has had a stupendous career, but now, he's too old and needs to call it quits before he gets hurt! Valentine tells Disco that he's just as tough as ever and will retire when he chooses. Disco gets more and more smart-mouthed and compares Valentine to an old dog that needs to be shot and put out of his misery. No one wants to do it because they feel sorry for the old dog, no matter how awful he smells. Well, Disco tells it like it is.. and although Valentine may have been a top superstar about fifty years ago, someone needs to put him out of his misery because he stinks! Valentine tells Disco that if thinks Greg "stinks so bad", why doesn't Disco try to take him out... right now! Disco says that he's not ready to wrestle and Valentine calls him a gutless wonder. Greg turns to leave and Disco attacks him from behind. He attempts to anyhow, but Valentine is ready and catches Disco with a big forearm shot that sends Disco flying through the ropes to the floor. Disco and Valentine exchange words as we go to commercial.

DANIEL PUDER w/ Soce the Elemental Wizard versus MIKE YOUNGBLOOD

Youngblood tears into Puder with chops and punches. Puder is reeling from the viciousness of this attack and quickly flees to the floor. Youngblood follows and throws more chops. Soce tries to get involved and Youngblood goes after the Elemental Wizard with a chop. Puder nails Youngblood from behind, forcing him to release Soce. Puder sends Youngblood into the ringpost on his shoulder and rolls him back into the ring for two. Puder is now in control and works over the arm of Youngblood with several knees and a hammerlock slam. Youngblood tries to fight back with more chops, but it's to no avial. Puder moves in and locks in the Kimura Keylock on Youngblood. Mike fights it, but is forced to tap out.
Winner: DANIEL PUDER w/ Soce the Elemental Wizard

We see SCOTTY RIGGS & BUFF BAGWELL, along with April Hunter, headed towards the ring.

We're back and here comes Scotty Riggs, Buff Bagwell & April Hunter to the ring. Riggs gets the mic. Everyone wants to know what was the plan? Why was he posing as Sting? Is there is a reason? Riggs just laughs! He pretended to be Sting because he could! He wanted to see how long he could fool the idiot fans. Buff laughs and said that "I knew who it was all the time!" Riggs continues to insult the fans and talks about how he wanted to come back WCW and make the biggest impact he could. So why not take down the icon, the phenom of WCW - the man they call Sting! And if Brian Adams wants to get involved as well, that's OK because Riggs has a partner to take care of Adams. And that man is "Buff". Bagwell talks about how the phones are ringing off the hooks as all the women are calling each other because sometimes, fantasies do come true! The American Males are back together and no one is tougher, smarter, or better looking than Riggs & Bagwell. Riggs and Bagwell continue their self-love session for a few more moments and the lights flash. They quickly get serious as David Penzer picks up the mic to introduce the next match.

BUFF BAGWELL & SCOTTY RIGGS w/ April Hunter versus BRIAN ADAMS & STING

Bagwell and Riggs quickly isolate Adams away from Sting and take down the big man with quick tags and punches in the corner. Double-dropkick by the American Males and Riggs covers for two. Adams fights back with elbows and a stiff clothesline that causes Bagwell to nearly do a 360 flip! Adams hot-tag Sting who comes in and unloads on both Riggs and Bagwell with chops and Stinger-Splashes. Sting hollers to the fans and has Bagwell set up for the Scorpion Death Drop. Riggs breaks that up and Adams is in to level Riggs with a tackle. All four men are fighting now in the ring and referee Tommy Young is having a hard time keeping order. April Hunter is in from the outside with a chair and she levels Brian Adams fron behind with the chair. Adams is down, so Riggs & Bagwell turn their attention to Sting as the referee calls for the DQ and the bell.
Winners by DQ: STING & BRIAN ADAMS

Bagwell & Riggs continue their assault on Sting and Adams. Referees and WCW officials fill the ring, so Riggs, Bagwell and Hunter escape to the floor to celebrate laying out Sting and Adams. The Amercian Males are back and have made an impact!

We go backstage and see Jimmy Valiant leaving the dressing room marked "The Elementalz". The World Tag Team Title match is up next!

WCW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
KANYON & MARTY JANNETTY (c) versus ETHAN STORM & VAMPIRO w/ Jimmy Valiant

Valiant is still bandaged up from his match the previous night at Road Wild - a street fight against Evan Karagias. Valiant talks trash to Kanyon and Jannetty as the bell rings. It's Jannetty starting off against Storm and Marty quickly takes the advantage with armdrags and a dropkick that sends Storm to the floor. Ethan slowly returns to the ring and tags in Vampiro. Vampiro with chops and elbows on Marty, but Jannetty fights back and sends Vampiro to the floor. Tag to Kanyon who greets Vampiro with knees and armdrags before locking in the chinlock. Vampiro with the jawbreaker and a big kick before tagging off to Storm. Storm works over Kanyon with punches adn kicks and a thumb to the eyes. Suplex by Ethan for two. Kanyon reverses another suplex attempt and sends Storm flying. Tag to Jannetty and a double backdrop by Kanyon and Jannetty. Valiant is up on the apron and Jannetty levels the Boogie-Woogie Man, knocking him to the floor. From the back, we see Soce, Hugh Morrus & Tank Abbott come out. Referee Brent Robinson quickly goes to the floor to prevent Soce and his men from interfering. From the other side of the ring, Rico and Puder are in and they attack Marty Jannetty, quickly planting him down through the mat. Kanyon is leveled by Vampiro and a leg lariat and walks right into a brass-knucks shot by Ethan Storm. The referee has sent Soce, Morrus & Abbott back up the ramp and didn't see all the interference or the illegal shot by Storm. Storm has Kanyon covered. Referee Robinson counts the three and we have NEW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS.
Winners: ETHAN STORM & VAMPIRO w/ Jimmy Valiant.

We see Soce, Abbott & Morrus up on the rampway and they are now joined by Daniel Puder and Rico. Soce gives a big thumbs up to the new champions in the ring and we see Valiant return the thumbs up! The announcers, Schiavone & Zbyszko now realize that it was all a plan by Valiant and Soce. That explains why Valiant was coming out of Soce's locker room earlier! Valiant, Storm and Vampiro celebrate in the ring with their new titles as we go to commercial.

We come back and Adam Copeland and Amy Dumas are in the ring. Last night was a total rip-off! He had Jeff Hardy beaten within an inch of his life at Road Wild, but the biased WCW officials cheated and caused him to lose. He wonders if the referee's in WCW are all named Hardy. Copeland demands revenge and satisfaction. He wants to wrestle Jeff Hardy again... right now! On the Nitrotron, we see Jeff Hardy's face appear! He pokes at Copeland for being a whiney loser and says that if Copeland wants another match, that's fine with him. He'll be glad to come down there right now and kick Adam's ass! Adam says that he changed his mind! He doesn't want Hardy right now! He wants him at the Clash of Champions on August 25th.. in a "TLC MATCH"...

Hardy agrees and says it doesn't matter to him what kind of match it is, because the result will end up the same. Hardy will win and Copeland will take his slut girlfriend and go off crying like a little bitch with his tail tucked between his legs.

The announcers interupt and say that we have to cut backstage. Another limo has arrived. We go backstage and see a black limo pull up and as the door opens, we see Hulk Hogan get out. He is followed by Linda Hogan, Brooke and a man in a suit (who the announcers identify as WCW Legal Representative Gary Juster)... Here is security to prevent Hogan from entering the building. We see Doug Dillinger talking to Juster and Dillinger stands aside and allows the Hogan's to enter the building. They're coming to the ring as we cut to a commercial.

(commercial)

We come back and "Real Amercian" echoes throughout the arena as Hulk Hogan, Linda Hogan, Brooke Hogan and Gary Juster all come down to the ring. There is a big mixture of cheers and boos for The Hogans and Juster. Hogan gets the mic. He's got some big news for everyone who's a fan of the WCW. Music hits and here comes Eric Bischoff and Nick Hogan. Eric doesn't care what Hulk's news is! He wants Hogan to take his family and get the hell out of Eric's ring! Hogan just smiles as Gary Juster stops Eric and whispers to him away from the mic. We see Juster showing Bischoff some papers as The Hogans watch. Eric is upset! Hogan gets the mic. He has some big news for everyone. Eric Bischoff is a liar! Months ago when Eric Bischoff took over the WCW, he claimed that he "owned" WCW. But Hogan knows Eric. Eric doesn't have the kind of money it takes to run a company like WCW, so Hogan knew that someone else has to be footing the bill behind the scenes. And Hogan wanted to know who. Eric wouldn't tell anyone, so Hogan decided to send in a plant.. a spy to find out who is the real power behind WCW. Hogan sent in someone he knew he could trust, his son Nick!

Nick Hogan just smiles as we see Eric's frown become just that much bigger. Hulk says that the whole time Nick was Eric's "son", he was finding out things, checking out Eric's computer, looking through phone bills, etc. to find out what Hulk needed to know. Hogan continues! Eric is a con-man who convinces others to put up money! So do you want to know who the real owners of WCW are? Eric tries to get Hogan to shut up, but Hogan just laughs.

Hogan introduces the head of WCW Legal who will explain everything. Eric is livid and yells at Juster to be quiet, but Hogan points at Eric to shut up and tells Juster to contine! Juster says that at the request of Hogan, he researched the ownership of WCW and it breaks down as follows: Eric Bischoff and Jason Hervey own 50% of WCW. And the other 50% is owned by none other than a certain billionaire that chooses to remain anonymous. This billionaire has allowed Bischoff to act as his proxy in WCW, but after he was contacted by Hogan, things have changed. This man has decided to allow Hogan to assume control of his voting stock of WCW. So this means that technically, that Hogan is now Eric Bischoff's partner in WCW. We see Eric's chin drop and he looks ready to explode.

Juster continues that after speaking with Hulk Hogan, Hogan has determined that he has no desire to be a co-owner of WCW and will not be using the proxy-power signed over to him by this mystery co-owner of WCW. Eric seems to brighten up a bit at that bit of news! But Eric's not going to have total control of the company either. Hogan made a phone call and contacted someone to come in and work alongside of Eric as the new Co-Owner of WCW. Eric speaks up. He doesn't care what Hogan says or does! This is still his company! He made WCW and he brokered the deal to bring it back. Who is this mysterious new co-owner! Eric wants to know. Hogan just smiles.

Well, this isn't one of his favorite people, but he knows that this guy doesn't have much use for Eric Bischoff, so that makes it a little easier to take. Eric is getting insistant and wants to know who the new co-owner of WCW is. Eric grabs Hogan and Hulk punches Eric with a left that sends Bischoff flying backwards into the corner. Hogan says that the new owner will be here on Thunder! "Have fun, bruthuh!" Hogan and the Hogan family all start to flex and pose as Hogan's music starts. We see Nick hug his dad as Eric Bischoff storms from the ring towards the back!

(commercial)

We come back and Schiavone & Zbyszko, who have been rejoined by Brian Adams, talk about what just happened. Eric Bischoff is actually only 50% owner of WCW and the man who will be controlling the other 50% will be here on Thursday night on Thunder! They speculate on who it might be and then talk about how while Nick Hogan pretending to be loyal to Eric Bischoff, he was supplying his father with information. Who will be the new co-owner? Zbyszko and Adams toss out a few names as we go to David Penzer for the main event...

THE GIANT w/ Joel Gertner & BOOKER T w/ Sharmell versus THE ROCK & WCW WORLD CHAMPION SEAN O'HAIRE w/ Dawn Marie

The announcers speculate how well O'Haire and The Rock will get along in this match. O'Haire starts off against Booker and dominates from the beginning with some elbows and a huge slam. Booker fights back and thumbs to the eyes before tagging in the Giant. Giant with the headbutts and some ferocious whips to the corner. He tries a big butt-splash, but O'Haire manages to move and Giant hits the corner hard. O'Haire tags in the Rock who comes in with punches. A big elbow catches Booker and The Rock lifts the Giant up for a big Samoan Drop for two. More punches by the Rock and a running clothesline sends the Giant to the floor. Booker comes in and nails Rock from behind with a knee. Slam and leg-lariat by Booker for two. Booker with the fists and a kneedrop for another two. Booker attempts a suplex, but Rock blocks it and scores with the Rock Bottom. Two count by the referee as Giant breaks it up. O'Haire is back and all four men are now fighting in the ring. Referee Parker Paige is trying to restore order, but gets sandwiched between the Giant and the corner as he's slammed hard by O'Haire. Paige is down and here comes the Horsemen. Haas nails Joel Gertner on the outside as Tully, Lex, Windham & C.W. Anderson all immediately go after the Giant and Booker. Booker is leveled by a C.W. Anderson spinebuster while Luger & Blancard use a double-clothesline to send the Giant to the floor. The Rock is upset! It's not supposed to be like this and he says something to O'Haire about all of the Horsemen interference. We see Windham catch the Rock from behind with a big knee that sends Rock to the floor. The Horsemen quickly scatter and leave the room as O'Haire covers Booker T. The referee is slowly coming around and counts three.
Winners: SEAN O'HAIRE & THE ROCK

As the referee raises O'Haire's hand and looks around for The Rock, we see the Horsemen assault on the Rock continue! Blancard and Luger are outside the ring and double-post the Rock hard into the steel ringpost! Anderson & Windham are continuing the stomp away at The Giant and Booker T. Woman kicks Joel Gertner to keep him down while Dawn Marie is holding Sharmell and keeping her from getting involved.

The crowd erupts as here comes Booker's brother, Stevie Ray from the back and he's got a chair. He quickly clears the Horsemen from the ring. Stevie checks on Booker as we hear Schiavone scream we're out of time!

THE END!

WCW CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
JUVENTUD GUERRERA (c) versus "HEART THROB" ANTONIO THOMAS w/ Romeo

A quick paced match as Antonio proves to everyone very quickly that he can match Juvi hold for hold. Neither man is holding anything back and the action flows to the floor and then back to the ring several times. In the end, Antonio attempts a Thesz press. but Juvi manages to hold on and counter with a victory roll to get the pin and retain his championship.
Winner and still champion: JUVENTUD GUERRERA

We go backstage where Terri Runnels is standing by with the trio of "Above Average" Mike Sanders, "The Model of Excellence" Rob Conway and "The French Phenom" Rene Dupree. Rene and Rob talk about the success they've had as a team in other places and how it's just a matter of time before they win the WCW Tag Team Championship's here in WCW. Sanders says that it's all good, but tonight, they're not here about titles - it's about pain, destruction and taking out Brock Lesnar. Sanders has personally guarenteed Eric Bischoff that Lensar will be eliminated tonight from WCW. There are three of them.. and just one of Brock. He's S.O.L. and we all know what that means.

As Sanders, Dupree & Conway walk off from Terri, we see Brock Lesnar come from out of nowhere and spear Dupree through the backdrop that has been set up for the interviews. Dupree's body makes a sick thud as it collapses in the debris. Conway & Sanders try to get at Brock, but he's throws a couple of punches and quickly retreats before Sanders and Conway can do any damage. We see Sanders and Conway checking on the fallen Dupree as we go to commercial.

A video promo airs as "Clerks 2" and "PlasteredPanda.com" presents: WCW ROAD WILD - tonight on PPV. Order now!

We go backstage and see Dupree being treated by medical personal. He's out of the match tonight. Sanders and Conway are upset, but then they realize that there are still two of them and only one Brock Lesnar. They reassure each other that they've got it under control as we go to the ring and David Penzer.

Penzer introduces the men and women coming to the ring - WCW WORLD CHAMPION SEAN O'HAIRE, TULLY BLANCARD, LEX LUGER, CHARLIE HAAS, C.W. ANDERSON, WOMAN, BARRY WINDHAM & DAWN MARIE - THE HORSEMEN...

O'Haire starts off by talking about how this is what it's all about - old and new combined to create the strongest and most elite force in wrestling history. We hear Luger with a comment from the back, "N-W - Who?" as everyone laughs. Sean talks about how there were tensions to start off with, but now, it's all about one thing - being and representing "The Horsemen". And of course, keeping the WCW World title firmly in the Horseman camp. O'Haire knows he's in for a fight tonight against The Giant, but he's confident and ready and vows to keep that WCW World Championship right where it belongs.. around his waist. Tully gets the mic next and talks about how things have come full circle. He was one of the original Horsemen and now, he's part of the Horsemen again.. It's about upholding the standards and legacy set forth by himself, Flair, Arn and Ole... and upheld by every proud man and lady who ever held the four fingers in the air. He knows O'Haire will do his part and keep that World title. And Tully vows that himself, Luger and Windham will do their part as well... by eliminating the irritation known as Jeff Jarrett not only from WCW, but from wrestling as well. The mic gets passed around and everyone has a few words to say and it eventually ends up back in the hands of O'Haire. This is a message for every wrestler in the back and who is even thinking about coming to WCW... don't cross the elite - don't mess with the Horsemen.

We come back from commercial and see soce the elemental wizard getting a cup of coffee. Someone comes up from behind and puts their hands over his eyes, "Guess who?" It's Youngblood. Soce quickly looks around and gives Youngblod a quick hug before backing off. Mike wants to know what the deal is tonight. Is Soce wth him or with Rico. Soce says it's not fair to make him choose like that. Youngblood mentions that it looked like Soce made his choice on Thunder when the Elementalz were kicking Mike's head in and he was right there with them. Soce apologizes for that and says that he didn't order it and hated it, but there was nothing he could do. Rico is like a crazy man these days! Youngblood accuses Soce of being a player and tells him that later tonight, Youngblood will defeat Rico and capture the WCW TV title. Nothing will stop him. Nothing or no one. He likes Soce, but if Soce gets in his way or interferes, Youngblood will chop his head off. Soce looks upset and Youngblood gives him a quick hug. "Come with me! Be in my corner tonight! Then, when I win the title, we can go celebrate in style!".. Soce is hesitant to give an answer or say anything and Youngblood quickly gets angry. "You better make a choice before the match tonight! Rico or me!" Youngblood storms off as Soce watches. Hugh Morrus and Tank Abbott walk up. "What was that all about? Was Youngblood trying to cause trouble?" Soce quickly composes himself and said that Youngblood was just trying to psyche him out before the match against Rico later. No big deal! Morrus & Abbott mention their match later against Marty Jannetty & Kanyon id coming up next. Soce suggests that they go over their game plans one more time before going to the ring! Soce, Morrus & Tank walk off as we go back to the ring and David Penzer..

BRIAN ADAMS has climbed into the ring. He's ready to call out the man who's been posing at Sting for the past few weeks here in WCW. Adams talks about how he's done some investigating and knows who the imposter is. And it's not Steve Borden. Adams wants the imposter to come to the ring right now and let's get this done! Adams gets no response from anyone - and says that it's time for the charade to end. Adams wanted the imposter to be there, but it's obvious that he's chickened out. So here you go. Adams says, "The man posing as Sting, the imposter is...." Music hits and interupts as Buff Bagwell comes down to the ring, along with April Hunter. Buff gets a mic and says that Adams needs to mind his own business. What does he care if someone wants to paint their face white and climb up in the rafters! Adams says that he hates phoneys! Steve Borden, the "real" Sting, is a good friend, and Adams doesn't want this phoney cashing in and ruining his reputation. Buff shoots, "You mean like you did with Demolition back in the day? Bill Eadie did all the work, created the team and gimmick, and then you moved in and stole his spot!" Adams says that was a whole different situation - he was brought into Demolition because Eadie had injuries and he had Bill's blessing to be part of Demolition. But this phoney, this fake, is just a total fraud trying to be Sting. He's a liar and a phoney and there's no way in hell that Sting would ever approve of anyone, especially not this guy, taking over his character like this. Buff and Adams exchange more words and Buff takes a swing at Adams. Brian blocks Buff's punch and nails Bagwell with a big punch. Buff and April flee the ring as Adams challenges them to come back to the ring. We fade to commercial.

We gop backstage and see The Giant with his manager, Joel Gertner. Giant vows to Joel that he'll capture the WCW World Championship in the main event tonight and no one will be able to stop him. Booker T & Sharmell walk up. Booker calls Giant a "big sucka" and says that he hopes O'Haire kicks the Giant's ass tonight! Giant laughs at Booker and tells him to go get ready for his six-man because he sure as hell doesn't want to be in the Giant's face tonight! Booker says "Not tonight, but how about tomorrow night on Nitro?... You big sucka!" Giant just laughs and says, "You and me? On Nitro! That's fine! Just be ready to get your ass beat.... little man!" Giant laughs as Booker & Sharmell storm off.

We come back and Caudle & Funk run down the matches for Road WIld one more time. We go to the ring for the next match.

WCW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
HUGH MORRUS & TANK ABBOTT (c) w/ soce the elemental wizard versus MARTY JANNETTY & KANYON w/ Diamond Dallas Page

It's power and brute strength against speed and science as Tank & Hugh attempt to dominate and just beat the stuffing out of Kanyon to start. Kanyon manages to fight back and hot-tags Jannetty who unleashed several dropkicks and arm-drags on the bigger Abbott and Morrus. This continues for a bit until Soce manages to clip the foot of Jannetty as he rebounds off the ropes and trip him up. Tank takes advantage and scores with a bog power-bomb for two. Meanwhile, DDP has come around the ring and chases after Soce around the ring and into the crowd as Soce runs for his life from the bigger man. In the ring, Morrus & Abbott are double-teaming Jannetty and manage to catch Marty with a huge double gordbuster. Abbott covers Marty while Hugh nails Kanyon off the ring apron. The referee is counting, but he's pulled out of the ring and slammed against the fan barrier by DDP to break up the count. Hugh comes down to the floor to confront DDP. Wild swing and DDP ducks before nailing Morrus with the Diamond Cutter on the floor. Kanyon is back up and into the ring. Abbott is distracted by the action between DDP and Morrus and doesn't see Kanyon coming. Kanyon with the "Kanyon Cutter" on Abbott. Jannetty rolls over and covers for the pin as senior referee Tommy Young runs to the ring and quickly makes the three count.
Winners and NEW CHAMPIONS: KANYON & MARTY JANNETTY w/ Diamond Dallas Page

As Kanyon & Jannetty hoist their new titles up and celebrate with DDP, we see Morrus & Abbott complaining to the original referee about the loss. Original referee Parker Paige confers with Tommy Young and goes into the ring to confront DDP, Kanyon & Jannetty. Paige raises Kanyon's and Jannetty's arms. The decision stands! Morrus, Abbott & Soce are complaining to anyone who will listen at ringside and Soce tells Funk & Caudle at the announce position that he's going to sue WCW. This is a rip-off and a conspiracy and not fair!

As Soce complains, Caudle and Funk send it over to Tony Schiavone, Larry Zbyszko and Rich Landrum who are going be handling the PPV announce duties. After a few words by Tony and Co., we go back to Caudle & Funk who thank everyone for watching the Main Event. And now, it's time for the PPV...

THE END!

Stay tuned for WCW ROAD WILD...

WCW Road Wild Pay Per View (August 6, 2006)

WCW ROAD WILD PPV
August 6, 2006
Sturgis, South Dakota
Sturgis Bike Rally

Pyro explodes and smoke fills the air as Tony Schiavone, Larry Zbyszko and Rich Landrum welcome the fans to WCW Road Wild. Thousands of bikers gun their engines and roar as music hits and here comes WCW Owner Eric Bischoff, along with his "son", Nick Hogan, to the ring. Eric and Nick are dressed identically in biker leather and Zbyszko makes a "cloning machine malfunction" joke. Eric is all smiles as he and Nick get the mic. Welcome to Road Wild and WCW. He knows that the fans are ready for action, so he'll make this short and sweet.

There will be a lot of great action tonight in this ring. But he wants to talk about tomorrow night and WCW Monday Nitro. The rumors are all over the place that Hulk Hogan, Nick's "former father", will be coming to WCW Monday Nitro tomorrow night. Eric has a message for Hulk. Don't show up. If he values his career, and his family.. stay away. Eric has already taken his son, Nick. So, who's next? Maybe Brooke.... or even Linda Hogan. Eric mentions that Linda is an attractive woman and maybe she'd like to be "Mrs. Bischoff"...

Music hits! "Can you smell.............what the Rock is cooking!" The sounds of Harleys roaring their approval fill the air as Dwayne Johnson, aka "The Rock" comes down to the ring. Eric and Nick are all smiles as they welcome The Rock back to WCW. Rock looks at Eric and then at Nick and compares them to "Dr. Evil" and "Mini-Me" and asks if they're father and son or two lovers just in from an S&M convention. Eric's smile fades as he demands to know what "The Rock" wants in his ring and here at Road Wild? Rock mentions how he was supposed to be at the last WCW PPV, "Beach Blast", but an injury and a tight schedule making his next movie, prevented that. He was in Hollywood when he realized that he had the weekend off from filming and that WCW was here in Sturgis, so he owed it to his fans, the WCW fans, to get on a plane and hustle down here to Road Wild.

Rock continues to talk and in a matter of just a few minutes, manages to make jokes and comments about Bischoff again, the Horsemen, Jeff Jarrett, Brock, Soce, Adam Copeland & Juvi. The fans are popping like crazy for every move and every soundbite the "Great One" makes. Eric listens for a bit and then interupts... he's heard enough. He's tired of the insults, so he wants the Rock to get out of his ring. Rock just smiles - if Eric wants him to leave, make him! Eric lowers the mic and argues with the Rock for a moment and we see Rock whisper something to Eric.

Eric is livid and takes a swing at "The Great One" - only to be caught and hoisted high with a "Rock Bottom". Rock points at Nick Hogan who is in the corner and tells him to stay back "or else" and then, it's time for "The People's Elbow" as the Rock applies it to Eric Bischoff. Referees and WCW officials come to the ring to check on Eric as The Rock celebrates and waves to the crowd.

We see a video promo - coming on Friday, August 25th on national TV, it's the return of WCW Clash of the Champions..
.
We go backstage and Terri Runnels is standing by with Evan Karagias. He's fighting his former mentor, Jimmy Valiant, in a New York Street Fight tonight. What are his thoughts? Karagias talks about how Valiant is a legend in these kind of matches. His street fights against the likes of Paul Jones, Ivan Koloff, Kabuki, etc... are still talked about today. But Evan says that Valiant is not who he was. He used to be a "legend". He used to be "Handsome Jimmy - the boy from New York City". But he's bitter now. And spiteful. And a shadow of what he was. And Evan vows that Valiant will pay for using him and then turning on him... when Evan beats him at his own game tonight.
We go to David Penzer for the first match.

NEW YORK CITY STREET FIGHT
"THE BOOGIE-WOOGIE MAN" JIMMY VALIANT versus EVAN KARAGIAS

Chaos and mayhem ensues as Karagias tries to wrestle Valiant, but constantly gets clawed in the eyes, hair-pulled or choked for his efforts. Karagias finally snaps and just unloads on Valiant, pounding away at the older man in the corner. Evan goes to the floor and under the ring. He's got plunder. Evan tosses a trash can and some signs into the ring. More chaos ensues as Valiant and Karagias attempt to destroy each other with shots from the various weapons. Karagias finally manages to incapacitate Valiant and scores with a Shining Wizard kick to the head. He covers for two, but gets up before referee Brent Robinson can count three. Karagias goes back outside and gets a table from under the ring. He brings it into the ring and sets it up in the center of the ring, laying Valiant on top of the table. Evan goes to the top rope, but before he can fly, here comes Vampiro and Ethan Storm to the ring. Vampiro trips up Evan as Ethan pulls Valiant off the table. Storm and Vampiro beat down Karagias as the referee tries to restore order.

Zbyszko reminds everyone that this is a street fight, so it's no dq. Valiant is back up and directs traffic. Storm has his brass-knucks out and levels Karagias before placing him on top of the table. Evan is busted open and bleeding badly. Vampiro goes to the top rope and does a moonsault, crashing down hard across Karagias, sending him barreling through the table. As Vampiro rolls away from Karagias's broken and unmoving body, Valiant moves in and covers. The referee counts the pin and Jimmy Valiant is the winner.
Winner: JIMMY VALIANT

Valiant, Storm & Vampiro celebrate in the ring as we go backstage.

Bob Caudle is standing by with JEFF HARDY & "THE BAD GUY" SCOTT HALL.

Hardy speaks first as he talks about how Adam Copeland is a piece of crap and a parasite. He ruined the life of Jeff's brother and now, he's come to WCW to attempt to do the same thing to Jeff. Well, Jeff wants Adam to realize that there is a common trait among Hardy's.. they will not die! And Jeff vows to beat the holy hell out of Copeland tonight. And if Amy wants to get involved, she'll get some too!

Hall speaks next. He's fighting "The World's Most Dangerous Man" tonight. He should be scared, right? He should be frightened, right? He should at least be nervous? Nope! He's not! He's ready to show Puder and that weasely little manager Soce, why he is wrestling's original "Bad Guy". So whatever they got, don't sing it - just bring it! He's ready for them, but the question is.. are they ready for him? "I don't think so, Chico!" Scott tosses a toothpick at the camera as we go back to the ring and David Penzer for the next match.

We see video from earlier as Brock Lesnar "hit and run" attacks Rene Dupree, laying him out on the "Main Event". Rene has been removed from the handicap match coming up now!

HANDICAP MATCH
BROCK LESNAR versus MIKE SANDERS & ROB CONWAY

Landrum & Zbyszko talk about the strategy that Brock used to eliminate one of his opponents before the match even started, thus improving his odds. Zbyszko calls it "a great move in the game of human chess!" Conway and Sanders quickly go after Brock and use their numbers advantage to double-team and work over the bigger man. Brock takes a beating for a while and then finally explodes as he levels Rob with a clothesline and sends him flying over the top rope to the floor. Sanders tries to nail Brock from behind, but Brock ducks and scoops Sanders up. F-5 on Sanders by Lesnar and he covers as referee Hage Patel counts three.
Winner: BROCK LESNAR

We go backstage now and Terri Runnels is with Daniel Puder and his manager, Soce the Elemental Wizard. Terri mentions that it hasn't been a good night so fat for the Elementalz - especially with Morrus & Abbott losing the WCW Tag Team Titles to Marty Jannetty and Kanyon. Now, Puder is preparing to face Scott Hall. Their thoughts? Soce says that title change was a conspiracy and rip-off. DDP pulled out the referee and interferred repeatedly and they're not going to stand for it! Soce has already scheduled a meeting with Eric Bischoff for tomorrow before Nitro and he expects the decision to be overturned and the titles returned to Hugh and Tank.

Puder talks now! What happened earlier was scandalous. But what happen next will be just plain brutal. Scott Hall is a legend in this sport! He's a former U.S. Champion, a TV Champion, a several time Tag Team Champion, the Intercontinental Champion.... Hall has done all there is to do... except for beat "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Daniel Puder. Puder hopes that Hall has talked to Eric Angle and Goldberg. Where are they now? On the shelf because they stepped into the ring with him. If Hall's not careful, he'll be next! Change that! No matter how careful Scott is.. or how "bad" he thinks he is, it's going to happen.... Puder has two words for him... he's next!

We go to David Penzer for the next match.

SIX MAN TAG TEAM MATCH
TULLY BLANCARD, "THE TOTAL PACKAGE" LEX LUGER & BARRY WINDHAM w/ Woman - THE HORSEMEN
versus
"THE CHOSEN ONE" JEFF JARRETT, "BIG POPPA PUMP" SCOTT STEINER & BOOKER T w/ Sharmell

Lots of great back and forth action as the Horsemen seem focused on getting hold of Jeff Jarrett while Jeff seems more focused on letting Steiner and Boker handle the action as he tries to pick his spots and stay away from the Horsemen and especially Blancard. Booker's frustration at his "partner's" reluctance to wrestle is extremely obvious as even Schiavone notes it. The action gets brutal at times and after being on the end of a stiff forearm shot from Luger, we see Booker slap/tag Jarrett in. Jarrett is reluctant to get into the ring and Booker grabs him, flipping him into the ring and into the arms of the waiting Luger. Lex pounds away at Jeff as Booker and Sharmell go to the floor. They've had enough and start walking to the back. Steiner starts to go after them, but Windham catches him with a brutal bulldog from behind on the floor. In the ring, Luger and Tully are double-teaming Jarrett. Woman gets in a couple of slaps from the outside for good measure. Tully hits the slingshot suplex and covers to get the pin.
Winners: TULLY BLANCARD, LEX LUGER & BARRY WINDHAM w/ WOMAN - THE HORSEMEN

Backstage, we see WCW Women's Champion Ivory stretching out for her match against Luna. Here is Amy Dumas. She tells Ivory she's looking good and it's been a long time since they've seen each other. Amy brings up some of their matches in the past and suggests that maybe she'd like a shot at Ivory's WCW Women's title... if Ivory makes it past Luna tonight. Ivory tells Lita that she will beat Luna tonight - don't ever doubt that - and if Amy wants a shot at her title, that's fine! They can do it on Nitro tomorrow night. Any says that's fine and wishes Ivory good luck! Ivory watches as Amy walks off and then grabs her belt. She's headed towards the ring.

We see a video package emphasizing the brutality that Luna's been showing while she's been destroying her opponents very quickly as of late. We come back and hear a high pitched scream as Luna comes down towards the ring. We go to Penzer for the next match..

WCW WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP
IVORY (c) versus LUNA VACHON

Luna is all over Ivory at the bell, just beating her across the back and neck and tossing her around like a rag doll. The announcers speculate that this might end quickly as Luna gets a two-count on Ivory. Ivory continues to take the beating and Luna is choking her on the ropes. The referee forces Luna back and Ivory catches her with a thrust to the throat. Punches and kicks by Ivory, but that quickly ends as Luna rips at the eyes. Luna is like an animal as she claws and pounds away at Ivory, ripping away at her face. Luna sets up Ivory for abig DDT, but Ivory pushes her off and tucks down for an inside cradle. Ivory holds on to the tights as the referee counts three.
Winner and still champion: IVORY

As Ivory quickly rolls out of the ring to grab her belt and celebrate, we see Luna become even more incensed as she shreiks and hollers at referee Russ Cherico. Russ warms her to calm down and we see Luna kick the referee low and then apply a big DDT to the ring official. Luna kicks and stomps at the fallen official before letting out a big sceam of anguish and leaving the ring.

We go backstage and see Eric Bischoff in his office. He's complaining to Nick Hogan about the way the Rock "attacked him" and is still speculating why Hulk Hogan is coming to Nitro tomorrow night. Does Nick know? Nick is evasive as he changes the subject to how brutal that last match was. Luna is a crazy woman. Eric agrees, but wants to know what Nick knows? He knows that Nick has been talking regularly to his sister, Brooke and wants to know what he knows. Why is Hulk coming to Nitro! Nick explains that he talks to Brooke because she's his sister, and he misses her. But they don't talk about Da... Hulk. He has no idea why his "former Dad" is coming to Nitro. Eric says OK. He understands! Eric gives his "son" a hug as we go back to the ring.

We see a video recap of the history between WCW TV Champion Rico, his manager Soce the Elemental Wizard, and Mike Youngblood.

We go backstage and see Soce talking to Rico. Rico is preparing to go to the ring and he wants to know if he can count on Soce. He heard about the earlier conversation between Soce and Youngblood and knows that Youngblood wants Soce to join him. Soce assures Rico that he's there for him and that TV title. Rico tells Soce that he'd feel better if Soce stayed in the back for the match. Rico doesn't want two opponents - one is more than enough. Soce asks Rico how he can prove his loyalty to the Elementalz if they won't give him a chance. Rico mentions that Hugh & Abbott gave him a chance and they lost the World Tag Team Titles. Soce is taken aback by this accusation and wants to know what Rico is implying. Rico says that he knows that the tag title change wasn't Soce's fault, but he's the manager. He should have been more prepared for DDP... and might have been if he wasn't running around with that punk, Youngblood. Soce tells Rico that they'll talk about it later - it's time for the match. Rico tells Soce that he's going out there alone! Rico grabs his TV title belt and walks off, leaving Soce standing there.

We go back to the ring and David Penzer for the next match...

WCW WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
RICO (c) versus MIKE YOUNGBLOOD

Rico and Youngblood quickly start trading chops and fists. Rico uses the martial arts kicks to take the advantage and works over Youngblood in the corner. Youngblood fights back with chops and a sick headbutt that busts Rico open. More chops by Youngblood and a big suplex for two as Rico gets a foot on the ropes. Youngblood with more chops and a big slam. Big elbow from the top by Youngblood and he covers for the pin. Referee Jason Haywood starts to count, but he's distracted by Soce who has come out and climbed on the ring apron.

Youngblood wants to know what Soce is doing out there - he just messed up his pin attempt. Soce tells Youngblood that he's there for him - he's made his choice. Youngblood is jawing with Soce and Rico comes from behind and rolls up Youngblood for two. Youngblood with more chops and a big DDT. The referee is bumped and goes down in the action. Soce is quickly up and in the ring with a chair. He points out that the referee is down and tells Youngblood that he wants to prove his loyalty. He has Youngblood pick up Rico and hold him. Soce rears back with the chair and swerves, busting Youngblood across the head. As Youngblood goes down, Soce drags Rico and places him on top of Youngblood. Soce then goes and rouses the referee, dragging him into position. The referee counts three and Rico is the winner and still champion.
Winner and still champion: RICO w/ soce the elemental wizard

Rico and Soce look at each other and embrace in a big hug as the referee checks on the fallen and bloody Youngblood. Soce raises Rico's arm in victory!

We go backstage and Terri Runnels is standing by with Adam Copeland and Amy Dumas. Copeland talks about the history between himself and the Hardy's. They used to be close, but Adam realized that Jeff and Matt were losers and babies! He's a man who does what he wants and takes what he wants... Amy. Adam & Amy kiss and Adam says that he's already crushed one Hardy... and that was the smart one. Jeff is a delusional little moron and he'll be crushed and destroyed... just like his big brother was....

We go back to the ring and Brian Adams is standing in the ring with a mic. He's here to address the "fake Sting" issue. He tried earlier on "The Main Event", but Biff Bagwell decided to come out and interupt! Well, he has news for Buff. Tomorrow night, on Nitro, Buff will learn what it's like to face, not the gentle, sweet announcer, Brian Adams, but the man who was known as Kona Crush! Adams says that it's been a while but Buff will just have to learn that it's all about Kroni.... oops! Force of habit! It's all about Brian Adams - aka Crush!

And now, back to the original reason he's out there. We see a video recap of the various appearances of "Sting" since the "Beach Blast" PPV, often appearing in the rafters, but never saying a word. Adams mentions how he's close to Steve Borden and considers him a close friend... and he knew right away that this man in the black trench-coat and white mask was not the real "Sting"... So Adams did some research. He checked travel schedules, hotel reseverations, and so many other things that he often thought his head would fall off. And he knows who the fake Sting is... And he's calling out the imposter right now to explain himself or else Adams will reveal the imposters identity right now in front of millions of PPV viewers..

Smoke starts to fill the ring and we see a figure drop from the rafters to the middle of the ring. It's the fake "Sting"... The figure in the white Sting mask unhooks himself and stares at Adams, clutching a baseball bat in hand. Adams doesn't look impressed. He mentions how the imposter has the tricks down pat, but it's time to come clean and reveal himself to the world. The masked figure doesn't say anything and Adams tells him that he can remove the mask now or Adams will take it off him. The masked man still says nothing so Adams moves towards him and the figure backs away.

More smoke fills the ring. Adams says, "What, this again! More special effects?" A figure appears in the smoke behind Adams who is still distracted by the imposter Sting and hasn't noticed. The new figure attacks Adams from behind with a bat and slams him across the back. The two "Stings" stomp and beat on the fallen Adams. The first imposter Sting and the second Sting, who just appeared, look at each other and they remove the masks. It's Buff Bagwell and Scotty Riggs. "What the hell!",exclaims Schiavone at ringside as the reunited former American Males, both dressed as Sting stomp and kick away at the downed Brian Adams.

Lights flash and the smoke starts to fill the ring again. Buff & Riggs don't pay it any attention and continue to beat down Adams some more. There's another figure in the smoke.. It's the real Sting! Sting goes after Riggs & Buff and throws punches and kicks, driving the two men from the ring. Bagwell & Riggs flee the ring as Sting checks on the fallen Adams.

We go backstage and Bob Caudle is standing by with The Giant and Joel Gertner. Giant is all smiles. He plans to leave Sturgis as the WCW World Champion tonight and there is not a thing that anyone can do to stop him. He calls Sean O'Haire a joke and vows to not only beat him to win the title, but to do it in less than 5 minutes! Why? Because he's 500lbs and 7 feet tall and he can! Gertner and Giant walk off.
We see a video recap of the recent problems between the two newest Nitro girls, Joy Giovanni and Carmella DeCesare. We go to David Penzer.

BRA & PANTIES MATCH
CARMELLA DeCESARE versus JOY GIOVANNI

Lock up and both ladies are quickly rolling around the ring. Catfight! Carmella is the first to lose her pants as Joy manages to rip them off with a quick motion. Carmella catches Joy with a stiff kick to the gut and rips off Joy's shirt! Suddenly, here comes Luna Vachon from the back. The crazed Luna is still upset from her earlier loss to Ivory and attacks both Carmella & Joy. The referee calls for the bell and throws the match out.
Official Decision: NO CONTEST

Luna continues her attack and ends up laying out Carmella, Joy and referee Hage Patel before letting out a loud shreik of anguish and heading back out of the ring towards the back.

As other referees and WCW officials tend to the fallen Diva's in the ring, we see Luna come backstage. She is tossing things and attacks a stagehand that gets too close, sending him barreling into a wall. Here is WCW Owner Eric Bischoff with some security guards. He snaps at Luna and tells her to calm down now or he'll suspend her! He knows that she's upset, but she needs to get over it! Luna glares at Bischoff as he informs her that he's having her escorted from the building "for her own good" before she causes any more problems. But before the guards lead Luna away, Eric tells her that tomorrow at Nitro, she'd better be there and have her wrestling gear. Luna lets out a screech as the guards lead her away and Eric watches.

We go now to the Elementalz Locker Room. Soce and Rico are laughing over the swerve they pulled on Youngblood. Morrus and Tank Abbott are there and look dejected. Soce tells them not to worry. They will get their titles back. He promises! Puder walks up! His match against Scott Hall is next. Soce asks if Puder's sure he wants Soce in his corner. Puder punches Soce in the arm and laughs - he's sure! Soce tells Rico and the champs to go warm up the Limo - they won't be long and then it's off to a party with his friends from D12 after the show. Rico laughs as Soce and Puder head towards the ring..

We go to David Penzer....

DANIEL PUDER w/ Soce the Elemental Wizard versus SCOTT HALL

Puder starts off quickly by trying to take down the bigger Hall with a go-behind, but Hall proves that he can wrestle with the best of them as he counters and trips the leg out from under Puder. Several lock-ups and neither man is able to get a definite advantage as both men have done their homework for this match. Hall decides to open up a bit and levels Puder with some chops and punches. Puder responds with a punch and another go-behind as he tries to lock in a rear-choke. Hall escapes by backing Puder into the corner and leveling him with elbows. Back and forth and it just gets more and more brutal as the two men unleash more and more fury and pain in the ring. Soce is at ringside cheering Puder on when from out of nowhere comes Mike Youngblood. He grabs Soce and chops him hard across the chest! Soce falls to the floor. Puder is distracted by the attack on his manager and tries to get to the floor to aid Soce, but Hall nails him from behind and uses a roll-up to get the quick pin. Puder is stunned as his undefeated streak has just ended. Hall quickly rolls out of the ring and raises his arms in victory.
Winner: SCOTT HALL

Here comes Rico, Hugh Morrus & Tank Abbott from the back, but they're too late as Youngblood and Hall head out through the crowd to escape. We see the Elementalz check on Soce, who's clutching his chest in pain as we cut to the back.

Another video promo airs - coming on Friday, August 25th - it's the return of the Clash of the Champions...

We go backstage and see Jeff Hardy talking on his cell-phone. He tells the person on the other end of the phone that he's got it covered. He's going to beat Adam Copeland's ass. Jeff says that he has to go - his match is up! "So long Matt!"..

We go now to Terri Runnels who is standing by with Brian Adams and Sting. Sting says that he has been watching the man impersonate him for a while. He doesn't know what Scotty Riggs and Buff Bagwell are up to or why they decided to pretend to be him, but if they wanted his attention, they've got it! Brian Adams has been keeping him informed of everything and they decided to wait until the right time to call out the imposter. That was tonight. The Stinger is back in WCW and he's ready to kick some butt!

Adams starts to speak, but here is Senior Referee Tommy Young. He tells Adams & Sting that he just came from Eric Bischoff's office and Eric has changed the match that Brian has scheduled against Buff tomorrow night on Nitro. Now, it's a tag match with Sting and Brian Adams versus Riggs & Bagwell. Adams smiles and says that's OK with him. "What do you say about that, Stinger?" Sting smiles, "It's showtime folks!"

We go back to the David Penzer for the next match.

ADAM COPELAND w/ Amy Dumas versus JEFF HARDY

A brutal and stiff fight that has neither man concerned with wrestling or winning, but seemingly just wanting to beat the holy hell out of each other. Both men take a tremendous beating. The end comes when Amy tries to get involved after the referee gets bumped to the floor. Amy holds Jeff while Edge attempts a spear. Jeff rolls away and Edge spears Lita by mistake. As Edge checks on Lita, Jeff hits the side-effect. To the top and a swanton by Jeff to get the pin.
Winner: JEFF HARDY

We go now to a video package that hypes the Clash of the Champions - coming on August 25th.

We go backstage and Booker T and Sharmell are in their dressing room getting dressed. Here is Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner. Jarrett is blaming Booker for the loss tonight to the Horsemen. Booker tells Jarrett that he only teamed with "you two punk-ass losers" is because he was ordered to by Eric Bischoff. Booker tells Jeff not to blame him that he got his butt handed to him.

Scotty and Jarrett threaten Booker and look ready to jump him, but quickly back up as we see a shadow - the camera pans over and it's Stevie Ray. "Is there a problem here, suckah!", Stevie says? "No... no problem!", Jeff says as he and Steiner quickly leave the dressing room area. Stevie Ray slaps Booker on the back as we go back to ringside.

Tony Schiavone, Larry Zbyszko and Rich Landrum talk about everything that's happened so far tonight at Road Wild. The return of Sting. Scotty Riggs is back and with his partner, Buff Bagwell. The Rock is here! New tag team champions in Jannetty and Kanyon. Puder was beaten by Hall. They recap the night and then Schiavone plugs Nitro for tomorrow - Hulk Hogan returns to WCW. It's now time to go to the ring for the main event.

We go to David Penzer, but before he can say anything, here comes Joel Gertner. Gertner takes the mic from Penzer and says that he'll introduce his wrestlers. Gertner gets in the ring and introduces himself with an innuendo laced promo about bikers, leather and "pearl necklaces". He's the "Quinessential Stud Muffin" Joel Gertner and he introduces the challenger, THE GIANT. Gertner give the mic back to Penzer who introduces the WCW World Champion, Sean O'Haire... And it's time for the match.

WCW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
SEAN O'HAIRE w/ Dawn Marie versus THE GIANT w/ Joel Gertner

A brutal match that sees the Giant trying to use his size and power to dominate over O'Haire. Sean fights back and levels Giant with a dropkick that sends the Giant reeling. Chops by Sean and a big elbow for two. The Giant with headbutts and some chops in the corner. O'Haire's chest is blood red and the impression of the Giant's handprint is painfully obvious. O'Haire thumbs the eyes and fights back with chops and a flying shoulder. Scoop slam by O'Haire and he covers for two, as Gertner places Giant's foot on the ropes. Sean with more punches and elbows. Superkick attempt by O'Haire, but Giant blocks it and scores with the chokeslam on O'Haire. Cover for two as Dawn Marie interferes this time and places O'Haire's foot on the ropes.

Gertner and O'Haire are arguing on the outside and we see it get physical as Joel gets in Dawn's face and Dawn kicks Gertner in the lower regions. Gertner goes down to his knees. In the ring, Giant and O'Haire are just trading blows back and forth. O'Haire ducks a clothesline attempts and scores with a superkick that sends the Giant back against the ropes. Running clothesline by O'Haire and both men go over the ropes and to the floor. Referee Tommy Young is counting the mandatory ten-count. Dawn Marie is there and she helps O'Haire roll back into the ring. As Sean distracts the referee, Dawn kicks the Giant in the leg before running away. The leg collapses under the Giant's weight and he's unable to beat the referee's count.
Winner by Count-Out and still WCW WORLD CHAMPION: SEAN O'HAIRE w/ Dawn Marie.

We go back to Schiavone, Zbyszko and Landrum who plug Nitro for tomorrow night and Thunder for Thursday. They're out of time now! Good night and thanks for watching WCW Road Wild!..

THE END!

WCW Thunder (August 3, 2006)

WCW THUNDER
August 3, 2006
St. Louis, MO

The pyro explodes as the Nitro Girls are in the ring doing their routines.  The sounds of AC/DC and "Thunderstruck" fill the arena as the sold-out crowd roars their approval.  WCW Thunder is on the air.

We go to Scott Hudson and Brian Adams at ringside.  Tonight, in the main event, it's Jeff Jarrett versus The Giant - and the winner goes to Road Wild in three days to face WCW World Champion Sean O'Haire.  Disco Inferno debuts his new interview segment, "Studio 54", plus so much more.

Music hits as The Heart Throbs come to the ring.  They're not scheduled for a match, so Hudson wonders why they're here.  Antonio gets on the mic.  He wants to be serious.  Last Monday on Nitro, he managed to defeat five other WCW Superstars, including his partner Romeo, to win an elimination match.  In three days, he's facing the WCW Cruiserweight Champion, Juventud Guerrera.  He's heard the chuckles backstage.  No one thinks that he has a chance against Juvi.  Well, he's out to prove the doubters wrong.  On Sunday night, Antonio WILL become the Cruiserweight Champion.  And then the whole world will know that not only are The Heart Throbs the greatest tag team in WCW, but Antonio is a helluva wrestler in his own right as well.  Romeo gets the mic.  He admits he was mad after losing the match on Monday night, but he wants Antonio and everyone else to know that if he's not the one wrestling Juvi, he's glad it's Antonio - and he's got his back.  The Heart Throbs hug.

Here comes Juvi out on the rampway.  He doesn't mean to break up the romance between Antonio and Romeo, but he has something to say.  Some people might laugh at Antonio challenging for the title, but Juvi doesn't.  Juvi knows he's in for a fight.  But at Road Wild, Juvi says "The Juice" will run wild on Antonio - and lay the smack down.  Antonio starts to say something, but Romeo steps in.  Juvi will get beat at the PPV when Antonio kicks his ass!  But why wait until Sunday?  Romeo wants to kick Juvi's ass now.  So how about Juvi versus Romeo - tonight!  Juvi just laughs and and says that "The Juice" runs from no man - and it's on - later tonight.   Antonio and Romeo posture in the ring as Juvi walks to the back.

We see a video promo for WCW ROAD WILD - this Sunday, August 6th, on PPV!

We go to Gary Michael Cappetta for the first match on WCW Thunder.,,

ETHAN STORM & VAMPIRO w/ Jimmy "The Boogie Woogie Man" Valiant versus EVAN KARAGIAS & "PRIMETIME" ELIX SKIPPER

We hear Adams & Hudson talk about how Valiant has abandoned his former proteges to allign himself with Storm and Vampiro.  Hudson plugs Valiant's NYC Street Fight with Karagias coming up at the PPV as Karagias and Skipper dominate on Storm in the ring with quick tags and lots of working on the arm.  Storm finally rips at the eyes of Skipper and tags off to Vampiro who levels Skipper with clotheslines and shoulders.  Chops by Vampiro and a neckbreaker.  He goes up top, but jumps right into the boot of Skipper.  Skipper with elbows and the tag to Karagias who unloads with fists and kicks.  Slam to Vampiro. Slam to Storm.  It's all Evan.  Valiant is up on the apron and Karagias nails him with a dropkick that sends the Boogie Man to the floor.  Suicide dive by Karagias and he lays out Valiant.  Storm is there to kick Karagias into the back of the head.  Skipper is there to ward off Storm, but as Evan rolls back into the ring, Vampiro hits him with the "Nail In The Coffin" to pick up the pin.
Winners:  ETHAN STORM & VAMPIRO w/ Jimmy Valiant

We go backstage and WCW TV Champion RICO , along with Daniel Puder, Hugh Morrus & Tank Abbott are headed towards the ring.  Their manager, Soce is right behind them, but Rico stops Soce. They're going to the ring alone!  Rico tells Soce that Soce had better decide who he's loyal to - his wrestlers in the Elementalz or else that punk, Youngblood.  Rico and the rest of the Elementalz walk off as Soce stands there watching.

(commercial)

We come back and Rico is in the ring, along with Tank Abbott, Hugh Morrus & Daniel Puder.  He wants answers!  His manager, Soce the Elemental Wizard, has been hanging out with street trash.  And that looks bad on him and all of the Elementalz!  He's the WCW World TV Champion.  Hugh & Tank are the WCW World Tag Team Champions.  Puder is the "World's Most Dangerous Man".  And their manager, the hip-hop spellcaster would rather lie to them and hide things from them rather than be with champions?  He doesn't get it!  We see the video from Monday night as Soce's brief interlude with Mike Youngblood is revealed on the Nitrotron during the Elementalz 8-Man tag match.  The distraction causes Rico to be pinned.   Here comes Soce.  He's tired of this.  He's the manager and he's the boss!  No one has the right to tell him who he can and can't associate with - not Rico or anyone else.  He lied to them about Youngblood because he didn't want to stir up any more problems.  Rico says that he's wrestling Youngblood at Road Wild.  His title is on the line. And his manager is trying to date the guy he's going to be fighting.!  That's already a lot of problems.  Soce says that the match wouldn't be happening in the first place if Rico hadn't attacked Youngblood with a chair for no reason to begin with.  More words are exchanged and it's getting heated as Rico and Soce air their dirty laundry on national television.  Puder gets between the two men.  He's tired of their bickering.  So far, Soce has always been there for all of them, including Rico. Puder point blank asks Soce if he's there for them.  Soce says, "Yes.. or course!".  Puder sticks up for Soce and says that's it - end of argument!  Soce can do what he wants in his spare time.  No one is fussing about Soce making musical tracks for the Nitro Girls, so why should they care who he hangs around with.  Rico isn't satisfied.  He wants to know if Soce has his back, even against his "boyfriend" Youngblood.  Soce objects that Youngblood isn't his boyfriend, but Rico interupts!  "Do you have my back against Youngblood?"  Soce is quiet for a second and then says "Yes!"  "Then it's settled", Puder says.  "At Road Wild, I'll destroy that has-been, Scott Hall.  Hugh and Tank will wipe the mat with Jannetty and Kanyon.  And Rico will make shor-work of that Youngblood punk and keep his TV title - and Soce will be in all of our corners!"  Hugh & Tank agree and slap Puder and Soce on the back.  Rico is reluctant, but joins in the celebration after a moment.  We see Rico eye Soce as we go to commercial.

We go to Gary Michael Cappetta for the next match.

LUNA VACHON versus BRANDI WINE

Another total squash as Brandi attempts to take Luna down with a side headlock.  Luna responds with forearms and elbows and a big slam.  Kicks and stomps by Luna and she locks in an STF-Submission on Brandi.  Brandi quickly taps out!
Winner:  LUNA VACHON

Luna lets out a piercing scream and chases the referee from the ring.  She has the mic.  At the PPV, Road Wild, she will become the WCW Women's Champion. She will rip Ivory's eyes out!  She will drink her blood!  Another big scream by Luna as music hits.  Here comes the WCW Women's Champion, Ivory, out on the ring apron.  Ivory says that Luna has been really impressive as of late.  The crazy, psycho looks fits her well.  But Luna needs to know one thing.  She can be as crazy as she wants, but Ivory has been there and done that!  Ivory won the title because she can wrestle!  And she'll keep the title because she's a wrestler and not just another "skank with a permanent case of PMS!"  Luna starts to leave the ring, but Ivory stops her.  They're not doing it now!  They'll do it at the PPV - at WCW Road Wild - where Ivory plans to show all the bikers and everyone watching what being a real psycho bitch is all about!

Backstage, we see WCW Owner Eric Bischoff in his office.  He's hanging up the phone and not smiling. Nick Hogan walks into the office - "What's up, Dad?"  Eric says that he just got word that Hulk Hogan would be coming to Nitro on Monday night to make a major announcement. Nick suggests that maybe his "former Dad" is going to announce his retirement.  "Who knows?", says Eric.  "But whatever it is, we'll be ready!  Right son?"  "Right!", says Nick.  Eric and Nick embrace in a father-son hug as we go to the ring and Gary Michael Cappetta..

JEFF HARDY versus ALEX WRIGHT

Before the match can start, Adam Copeland and Amy Dumas come out and join Brian Adams & Scott Hudson at ringside.  Copeland makes fun of Hudson's baldness as he talks about his upcoming match at Road Wild with Jeff Hardy.  Hardy is leery of Copeland at ringside and is distracted as Wright attacks at the bell and pounds away at Jeff.  Forearms and slam by Wright and he hits a great dropkick that sends Jeff to the floor.  Copeland and Dumas taunt Hardy as he pulls himself up to the ring apron.  Baseball slide by Wright and Hardy slams hard into the announce table. Wright comes down and pounds away at Jeff before rolling him into the ring for two.  Jeff fights back with elbows and punches and scores with a jawbreaker.  Side slam by Jeff and he's fired up.  Neckbreaker by Jeff and a big slam.  Jeff goes to the top for the swanton, but Adam is up and grabs Jeff by the foot, causing Jeff to tumble to the mat.  The ref spots the interference and calls for the bell, disqualifying Wright.
Winner by DQ:  JEFF HARDY

Copeland and Amy are in the ring and Copeland holds Hardy while Amy talks trash and slaps him across the face.  Copeland kicks at Hardy and instructs Wright to hold him up. Wright complies and picks up Hardy, holding him while Copeland scores with a spear.  Amy raises Wright's and Copeland's arms as Copeland glares at the fallen Hardy.  We see Krazy K come to the ring with a chair and Copeland, Amy & Wright leave the ring as Krazy K checks on his fallen friend.

We go backstage and Terri Runnels is with The Giant and his manager, Joel Gertner.  In just a little while, it'll be Giant versus Jeff Jarrett for a chance to wrestle for the World Championship.  Giant is estatic.  He's 7 feet tall and 500lbs.  Does Jarrett or anyone else actually think they can stand in his way and keep him from the title. Giant vows to crush Jarrett and then, Sunday at Road Wild, he'll go on to become the new WCW Champion.  And there's not a damn thing that Sean O'Haire or anyone else can do about it.

Scott Steiner walks up.  He calls Giant a giant slug and tells him that Jeff Jarrett is more of a champion and wrestler than any Fe-Fi-Fo-Fumbling Idiot like Giant can ever think about being.  Giant grabs Steiner by the throat.  From behind, here comes Jeff Jarrett with the guitar and he levels The Giant from behind.  Giant goes down.  Jarrett kicks at the Giant as Steiner shoves Gertner away.  WCW officials quickly move in and chase Jarrett away.  Giant is down and holding his head in pain as the officials and Gertner check on him.

We come back and Eric Bischoff is talking to the Giant.  Eric is going to cancel the match between Jarrett and Giant.  The medics say that Giant needs to go to the hospital and have his head looked out.  Giant grabs Eric - the match is on.  Giant is going to destroy Jarrett and go on to Road Wild.  Eric says if Giant wants to wrestle Jarrett, then it's OK.  He's have to sign a release so WCW is not responsible for his safety.  Giant says he'll sign anything Eric wants.  He wants Jeff Jarrett and he wants Eric to make it a "NO DQ" match. Eric is reluctant to agree, but Giant says that he wants it or else he'll go get Jarrett right now and to hell with the match.  Eric says no - that's the main event.  So it's now "NO DQ" and the winner faces O'Haire at Road Wild.  Giant vows to destroy Jarrett and walks off as Gertner follows.  Eric watches and mutters to Eric Hogan, "I'd hate to be Jeff Jarrett right now!"...

We go back to the ring and Gary Michael Cappetta..

"HEART THROB" ROMEO w/ Antonio versus JUVENTUD GUERRERA

Juvi and Romeo lock up and Romeo scores with armdrags and a dropkick.  Juvi ducks under and takes down the leg and drops an elbow.  Back and forth action with neither man able to control the action for long.  Antonio reaches in and trips the leg of Juvi.  Romeo scores with a DDT on the distraction for a two count.  Antonio is in charge and chops away at Juvi.  Juvi fights back and leapfrogs a backdrop attempt.  Facebuster by Juvi.  Dropkick and suplex and Juvi is firmly in control.  He goes to the top, but Antonio distracts the referee and Romeo causes Juvi to stumble and sing soprano.  Romeo is cocky and grabs up Juvi for a suplex.  Juvi tucks under and rolls up Romeo for a snall package.  The referee counts the three and Juvi gets the win.
Winner:  JUVENTUD GUERRERA

Antonio climbs into the ring and attempts to go after Juvi, but Juvi rolls out of the ring and escapes to the floor before The Heart Throbs get a chance to get the double-team.  Juvi raises his title in victory as we go to commercial.

They're going for the World Tag Team titles against Morrus & Abbott.  Jannetty says that people are sick of seeing Hugh and Abbott as the champs and it's time for a change.  And Kanyon says that they're the alternative - the future - the next WCW Tag Team Champions.

We go back to the ring and Gary Michael Cappetta...

RENE DUPREE & ROB CONWAY w/ Mike Sanders versus CHILLY WILLY & MARK STARR

Dupree and Conway immediately take the advantage and pound away at Starr in the corner before tossing him to the corner where Willy tags in.  Willy unloads on Dupree with clotheslines and backdrops.  Sanders is up and takes a swing at Willy to get his attention.  Willy goes after Sanders who drops to the floor and Dupree takes adavantage with a knee to the back.  Dupree with the french tickler and a tag to Rob for the double-team.  Rob with the powerslam and some flexing. Willy tries to fight back, but Conway thumbs him at the eyes and hits the Ego-Trip!  Cover and pin.
Winners:  RENE DUPREE & ROB CONWAY w/ Mike Sanders

Sanders gets the mic as Rob & Rene clear the ring.  At Road Wild, it's the three of them against "The Next Big Thing" Brock Lesnar in a handicap match.  They took the gig as a favor for Eric Bischoff, but they've decided to do it for themselves.  If they are the ones who destroy Brock, they can write their own tickets for the rest of their careers.  Sanders vows that next Sunday will be the last time anyone ever sees Brock Lesnar in WCW.  Sanders, Conway & Rene self-congratulate themselves as we go to commercial.

As we come back, disco music blares throughout the arena as Disco Inferno is in the ring.  It's time for his new segment, "Studio 54".  Disco says that he knows that everyone is watching Thunder just to see the Disco Inferno dance.  But he's not dancing tonight. He's there to ask the questions that everyone wants to know.  And he has two guests.  His first guest is a very controversial lady.  She just joined WCW as a Nitro girl a few weeks ago, but in her first week out, she caused problems. Let's see the video.  We go to video and see problems between Carmella DeCesare and Joy Giovani during a Nitro Girl routine thi spast Monday,  leading to a catfight.  Later in the back, Eric Bischoff books a "Bra & Panties" match between the ladies for Road Wild.  Disco introduces his first guest, Carmella DeCesare

Carmella comes out and Disco welcomes her to "Studio 54".  DIsco wants to know what the problem between her and Joy Giovanni is?  Carmella says that Joy is a wench.  She couldn't make it up north and won't be here for long either if Carmella has anything to do with it.  Disco still wants to know what the problem is though?  Why can't they just get along and be professional.  We hear a voice from the Nitrotron.  It's Joy!  They can't get along because Carmella is a bitch!  Joy says that Carmella feels threatened because she's not the "Queen Diva" in WCW.  She's a backstabber and liar.  Ever since they were both hired for WCW, Carmella has been calling her and asking for advice and being her "best friend" - and the first time they're on national TV with the Nitro girls, Carmella starts trouble.  It doesn't matter what kind of match they're having, be it bra & panties or just a fight, Joy vows to kick Carmella's ass.  Carmella starts to respond, but Disco cuts her off.  He has another guest.

Disco wants to introduce his other guest, the man who will be challenging Rico for the WCW World TV Title at Road Wild, please welcome Mike Youngblood.  Youngblood comes to the ring and starts to talk about Road Wild and his shot at the WCW TV title.  Disco cuts him off.  No one cares about that match.  Disco wants to ask about one thing.  Youngblood is wrestling Rico.  Rico is managed by Soce the Elemental Wizard.  What's the deal between Youngblood and Soce?  Are they boyfriends?  Youngblood is shocked - he can't believe Disco asked that!  Youngblood nails Disco with a fist and starts going after Disco.  Disco flees to the floor and leaves the ring as Youngblood curses and challenges Disco to come back to the ring.  From behind, here comes Rico, Hugh Morrus & Tank Abbott.  The three men attack Youngblood and start beating and kicking away at him.  Soce is there too, but he's not nearly as enthusiastic as his wrestlers at they administer the beatdown to the young wrestler.  Here comes Marty Jannetty & Kanyon from the back and the Elementalz flee the ring.  We see Jannetty and Kanyon checking on Youngblood as Rico, Hugh & Tank celebrate with their less than jubilant manager....

NO DQ - # 1 CONTENDERS MATCH:  THE WINNER FACES SEAN O'HAIRE AT WCW ROAD WILD...
THE GIANT w/ Joel Gertner versus JEFF JARRETT

The Giant is already bandaged up and injured from the earlier attack and is slow to react as Jarrett attacks at the bell.  Punches and kicks by Jeff as he quickly tries to take the bigger man down.  The Giant just shoves Jeff away.  Jarrett goes to the eyes and then goes outside the ring and grabs a chair.  Gertner tries to grab the chair away from Jeff, but Jarrett clocks the manager with the chair.  Jeff climbs back into the ring and threatens the referee before swinging the chair at the Giant.  Giant blocks the chair shot with his huge arm and just flips out.  He's one pissed off Giant as he grabs Jeff and administers several headbutts.  A huge slam and Jeff gets tossed into the corner like a rag doll.  Big butt splash by The Giant and Jarrett crumbles to the mat.  The Giant picks up Jeff and scores with a huge chokeslam.  Then, instead of covering, The Giant picks up Jeff and administers another big chokeslam.  Cover and pin as the referee counts three.
Winner and NEW # 1 Contender:  THE GIANT

Gertner raises the arm of the Giant as Giant looks at the camera and mimics the WCW World Championship title around his waist.  He mouths "Road Wild - The World Champion" as you hear Hudson thank the fans.  That's it for Thunder.  Look for Road Wild on Sunday!

THE END!
