NWA Wrestling All-Star Revue (W.A.R.)
December 9, 2005
Freedom Hall
Louisville, KY
Dlsclaimer: This is pure fantasy - nothing more and nothing less - just like my hopes for a full night of sleep. Damn cat!
Rich Landrum and Mike Sanders open the show with a big welcome to all NWA wrestling fans. It's a big show tonight as always and standing by in the ring is Blackjack Mulligan with an edition of Blackjack's BBQ.
Jack calls out his guests - the baddest tag team in Memphis history, "Dirty" Doug Gilbert and "Wildfire" Tommy Rich. Big news for Rich and Gilbert as they're now a part of that big 4-team elimination match for the tag team titles at the Seasons Beatings PPV. Mulligan wants to know why Rich & Gilbert are in the title match when they're never beaten anyone of note.. and lost to the tag team champions last week on the Danger Zone. Gilbert & Rich rightfully take offense at Mulligan's remarks and threaten the big cowboy - who just laughs and says to bring it on and he'll kick their butt too. Rich & Gilbert back off and say that last week was a fluke and they were just "feeling out" the Horsemen. At the PPV, they'll win the titles and prove to all the naysayers just how good they really are. And now, they're going to show Mulligan. Rich & Gilbert move in on Mulligan who's backed in a corner and ready for a fight.
Here comes Barry Windham and Mike Rotundo, Mulligan's son and son-in-law to the ring. Gilbert & Rich back up. Windham says that if Rich & Gilbert want to prove something to someone, prove it to them. Rich says they don't have to prove anything. Rotundo implies that Rich and Gilbert are "scared" of fighting an established team. Gilbert says that they'll fight anyone anywhere. Mulligan interjects and says that maybe Rich & Gilbert should wrestle Rotundo & Windham and put that title shot at the PPV on the line. Gilbert says that they'll wrestle Barry & MIke, but they're not risking their title shot. Barry repeats about them "being scared" and Rich, getting angry, says that the title shot at the PPV is on the line. Gilbert can't believe that Rich just agreed to that. The Memphis maffia attacks Windham & Rotundo, but quickly get sent flying out of the ring by the former WWF Tag Team Champions. Mulligan gets on the mic and announces that later tonight, it's Rich & Gilbert versus Rotundo & Windham... and the winning team goes on to that four-team match against the Horsemen for the titles at Seasons Beatings.

Cue David Penzer as we go to the ring for the opening match..
"BEAUTIFUL" BOBBY EATON (with Jim Cornette) versus ROBERT GIBSON
Before the match, Cornette gets on the mic and goes into a long tirade against The Masked Superstar who "betrayed" him and will wrestle against Vampiro at the PPV. There is no way that Superstar will ever get his hands on Cornette. As for tonight, they've been beating on Robert Gibson for what seems like forever and tonight will be no different. Gibson is going to wish he was in jail with Ricky Morton whenEaton finishes him. The match finally begins and Gibson says in control with armdrags and dropkicks. It's all Gibson until Cornette grabs the ankle from the outside for a distraction. Eaton takes advantage and scores with a neckbreaker. Suplex and backbreaker by Eaton and he goes up for the Alabama Jam. It connects and Eaton covers for a two as Gibson makes the ropes. Eaton pounds away at Gibson, but Gibson fights back and rallies with a dropkick and backdrop. Slam by Gibson and he goes for a Thesz-press, but Eaton counters into a victory roll for the quick pin.
Winner: BOBBY EATON
We go the back and Rich and Gilbert are walking around in the back arguing. Gilbert is mad that Rich agreed to put the tag title shots up in the match tonight. Rich says that it doesn't matter. He's a former NWA Champion. Gilbert is a former NWA International Champion. They can and will beat Windham and Rotundo tonight and go on to win the tag team titles at the PPV. They walk by Blue Meanie who is on the phone with someone snickering. Rich asks Meanie what he's snickering about. Meanie replies he's just thinking of how Rotundo and Windham are going to whip Rich & Gilbert's asses tonight. Gilbert moves at the Meanie, but Rich tells him to come on. Meanie isn't worth it. Gilbert and Rich move on as Meanie snickers again and goes back to talking on the phone.

Backstage, Michael P.S. Hayes is standing by with Woman, Charlie Haas & Miss Jackie Gayda. Haas talks about putting Kevin Nash out of wrestling. We see video from last weeks DZW where the Horsemen attacked Kevin Nash's knee with a chair after the 8-Man tag match. Haas says that Nash is finished in wrestling. Tonight, Mark Copani fights Scott Hall... and Hall will be joining his partner in the hospital when the Horsemen are done. Jackie talks about her match tonight against Molly Holly. Molly may have the edge in experience, seeing as how she's SO MUCH OLDER than Jackie, but Jackie has the edge in beauty, class and talent... plus, she's got the Horsemen. There is no way she can lose. Woman asks Hayes if he's coming to the Horseman party after the show tonight. Hayes says that he's planning on being there. Woman flirts and says that she's looking forward to it.
Cue David Penzer as we head to the ring...
MIKE AWESOME versus "THE BOOGIE WOOGIE MAN" JIMMY VALIANT
Valiant attacks at the bell with a series of fists and kicks. To the eyes and more fists by "Handsome" Jimmy. Awesome hits a clothesline and slam before tossing Valiant to the floor. Awesome dives through the ropes and nails Valiant with a suicide dive, driving Valiant hard into the ring barrier. Awesome puts Valiant back into the ring and hits a running powerslam to get the pin.
Winner: MIKE AWESOME
We see Christian Cage & NWA World Champion Sting in the back talking. Tonight, they wrestle against the West Hollywood Blondes. They have to be on the same page and work as a team even though they're wrestling against each other at the PPV. Cage reminds Sting of how many tag titles he's held and says that he knows what to do, because that's how he rolls. Sting says that he guesses it's showtime, folks. They're up next.

Scott Hall is in the back with The Blue Meanie. The Horsemen think that they put Kevin Nash out of wrestling. Think again. Nash is there and even though his knee is heavily bandaged, he's there. Nash says that the Horsemen are going to learn what pain and hurt is all about. He couldn't get medically cleared to wrestle tonight, but on Danger Zone Wrestling in a few days, he will be in the ring and the Horsemen will be in for a world of hurting. And at the PPV, it's time for Hall & Nash, the Outsiders, to once again be the World Tag Team Champs. Hall looks into the camera and says, "Survey says, one more for the two sexy guys!"
Cue David Penzer...
STING & CHRISTIAN CAGE versus LENNY LANE & LODI - THE WEST HOLLYWOOD BLONDES
A surprisingly fast paced and very even match as Lenny & Lodi seem determined to prove that they belong in the same ring as the NWA Champion and the number one contender. In the end, Sting hits the Stinger Splash on Lodi and Cage tags himself in, following up with the "Unprettier" to get the pin.
Winners: STING & CHRISTIAN CAGE

We come back and Michael P.S. Hayes is standing by with Joanie "Chyna Doll" Laurer. We see a replay of her confrontation last week with Madusa & Sean Waltman and hear Laurer say that her partner against Madusa & Waltman at the PPV will be "Paul". Back to now and Hayes wants to know just exactly who "Paul" is. Laurer smiles and starts naming off names - Paul McCartney, Paul Roma, Paul Bearer, Pall Mall, etc.. It could be anyone. Hayes isn't buying it and gets very specific - is it who I think it is? Laurer just smiles and says "We'll see... and Sean & Madusa will see... at the PPV". Laurer walks off.
We go to Tony Schiavone who is standing by at the "Seasons Beatings" Control Center. Tony recaps the matches signed so far for the upcoming NWA PPV - Seasons Beatings, coming from the Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on December 20, 2005...

MISS JACKIE GAYDA (with Charlie Haas & Woman) versus MOLLY HOLLY
A quick little cat-fight of a match. Molly stays in control from the opening bell with fists and a slam. Hair-whip and a catapault into the corner. Molly goes for the Molly-Go-Round, but Woman pushes Gayda out of the way and Molly hits the corner hard. Gayda hits a neckbreaker and covers. Haas grabs Molly's feet from the outside to prevent Molly from kicking out and the ref counts three.
Winner: MISS JACKIE GAYDA
We cut to the back and see Scott Hall warming up. Nash taps him on the back and says it's time. They're headed to the ring..

SCOTT HALL (with Kevin Nash) versus MARK COPANI (with Woman, Sean O'Haire)
It's a brawl - pure and simple. Copani uses fists and chops, working on the back and neck of Hall. Hall thumbs the eyes and slams Copani hard to the mat. O'Haire tries to interfere, but Nash cuts him off with a big elbow on the outside. Hall hits the Razors Edge and gets the pin.
Winner: SCOTT HALL
As Hall celebrates his victory, Nash is attacked on the outside by Charlie Haas & Arn Anderson, welding a steel chair. They go after the injured leg of Nash and are attempting to further injure "Big Sexy". Hall goes to help his partner, but Copani & O'Haire keep him busy in the ring. Here comes Brian Adams & Bryan Clark - Kronik. They even up the sides and cause the Horsemen to flee to the back. But the damage has been done as Nash is holding laying on the ground, holding his leg.

We come back and see a replay of the action that just went down a few moments earlier. We see a camera shot of Charlie Haas managing to catch Nash again in the back of the knee with a chair shot and "Big Sexy" going down.
Backstage, Michael P.S. Hayes is with the Horsemen. Arn Anderson is all smiles. Tonight, it was a set-up. They sacrificed a match - Copani lost to Hall to get the bigger advantage. Nash is out of action and hurt. His leg is gone and he won't be at the PPV. O'Haire and Haas have nothing to worry about. O'Haire pops open a bottle of champagne as Copani speaks. Tonight, he did his part to ensure that the tag titles stay with the Horsemen. But at the PPV, it's all personal and he's making sure that the Iron Sheik never wrestles again. Sheik is old and stupid and doesn't know when to quit, but after the cage match with Copani, he'll quickly learn.
We see Barry Windham and Mike Rotundo headed towards the ring. The main event is next...

WINNER GETS SPOT IN TAG TEAM TITLE 4-WAY AT THE PPV
DOUG GILBERT & MIKE ROTUNDO versus TOMMY RICH & DOUG GILBERT
Great back and forth action as the duo of Rich and Gilbert take the early advantage with lots of quick tags and excessive double-teaming on Rotundo. Rich tries for a Thesz press and Rotundo catches him with an airplane spin before making the hot tag to Windham. The American Express hasn't lost a step as Windham and Rotundo double-team RIch. Windham hits the superplex from the top for two, but Gilbert breaks it up. Gilbert hits the cheap shot from the outside and tags himself in to face Windham. Low blow by Gilbert and he hits a neckbreaker. Rotundo breaks it up and we end up with a wld brawl as all four men are in the ring. Rotundo sends Rich to the floor and follows. Windham manages to hit a bulldog from out of nowhere on Gilbert and covers for the pin.
Winners: MIKE ROTUNDO & BARRY WINDHAM
Rotundo and Windham celebrate their victory as the Landrum says that they're out of time and see you next week.
The end...
