WCW Monday Nitro
April 10, 2006
Greenville, SC
Bi-Lo Center
Disclaimer: It's not real - it's just fantasy. But it totally rocks! Believe it!
We open the show with a shot of the sold out crowd and David Penzer in the ring. He's proud to introduce the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion... Sean O'Haire.
We see pictures from the Elimination Chamber match last night at Slamboree as Sean O'Haire pins Kevin Nash in the end to capture the championship. Sean O'Haire and the rest of the Horsemen, Arn Anderson, Woman, Charlie Haas and Miss Jackie all come to the ring as confetti falls. O'Haire gets on the mic. Once again, the Horsemen have the gold. Sean O'Haire is the WCW World Champion. No one thought he could do it. Well, look at him now.
Arn is next to get on the mic and he predicts a return to greatness for the Horsemen. O'Haire is the World Champion. Arn mentions that the main job of the Horsemen is to protect that World title and predicts that O'Haire will be champion for a long time to come. It's a return to the glory days. And it continues tonight because he and Haas are going after Kronik and the WCW Tag Team Championships. After the beating they took last night from The Triad, Kronik is not 100 %. They can't be! And Arn predicts an easy win for himself and Haas.. and more gold for the Horsemen.
Lights flash and we see former 8-time NWA World Champion Harley Race come out on the rampway. He's here to make a challenge. Last night, he went through 17 other men to win the "Legends Battle Royal"... He's feeling pretty good tonight. And he thinks a good way to top off the weekend would to become a nine-time World Champion. So he wants a title shot against O'Haire tonight.
Sean is quiet for a moment and finally says OK, much to the dismay of Arn and the rest of the Horsemen. Sean explains that he's the WCW World Champion... and if he can't beat someone like Harley Race, then he doesn't deserve the title. Harley was a great wrestler at one time and is a legend. O'Haire is a great wrestler now and he eats "Legends" for lunch. So if Race or anyone else wants a shot, stand in line because Sean and the Horsemen are ready for anything.

We go to David Penzer...
We see video from Slamboree of the Triad's three-on-two assault on Kronik after being disqualified in their title match.
DOUG GILBERT & "WILDFIRE" TOMMY RICH versus KANYON & DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE (with Bam Bam Bigelow) - THE TRIAD
Rich and Gilbert start off strong with some great takedowns and brutal double-teaming, but a shot by Bigelow from the outside quickly turns the tide of battle. We see Kanyon and DDP hit twin Diamond Cutters on both Rich and Gilbert. DDP covers Gilbert and the ref counts three.
Winners: DDP & KANYON (with Bam Bam Bigelow)
We cut to the back of the arena and see a limo pulling up. Hulk Hogan gets out of the limo, along with Jimmy Hart. They're headed towards the ring.. next!
(commercial)
"Real American" sounds out as Hulk Hogan makes his way to the ring, along with "Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart by his side. Hogan is not in a good mood. Since taking over WCW, Eric Bischoff has been trying to play him. And now, Sean O'Haire is the World Champion? And has his belt? Hogan calls out Eric Bischoff....
But Eric doesn't come out. Instead, we get "The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett is on the mic and tears into Hogan. Hogan needs to quit whining and get a life. If anyone was screwed, it was Jeff Jarrett. He should be the World Champion right now! As for Hogan, he needs to go back to VH1 and the Surreal Life "or whatever the hell his show is called" becasue there's a new Sheriff in town. Hogan always had everything handed to him on a silver platter. Well, Jarrett is the man with all the stroke around here now. "So get used to it, Slappy!"
Hogan tells Jarrett he needs to mind his own business before Hulk is forced to show him just why Hulkamania is the strongest force in the Universe. Jarrett says that "Slappymania" is dead and Hogan needs to step back. Jarrett brings up "Bash at the Beach 2000" and says that Hogan got screwed and then took his ball and went home like a little brat with a skinned knee. Hogan says that at BATB 2000, Hogan could've beat Jarrett's ass "just like that" and he can still do it! Jarrett smiles and says that he's the "Chosen One" now and later tonight, why not have the rematch from Bash At The Beach 2000. It's the legendary Hulk Hogan versus Jeff Jarrett... and the winner gets a shot at Sean O'Haire and the World Championship. Hogan says that's fine with him, "bruthuh!"... and does the whole "whatcha gonna do" bit for Jarrett.. who stops him just bofore he finishes and says "I'll tell you what I'm gonna do! I'm gonna beat your bald, wrinkled ass.... and then go on to become the World Champion"... And there is nothing that anyone can do about it.
Hogan and Jarrett stare at each other as we go to commercial.
(commercial)
We come back and Schiavone says that Eric Bischoff has made it official. Later tonight, it's Jarrett versus Hogan and the winner gets a title shot for the WCW World Championship against the World Champion, whoever it may be.
We then go to video from Slamboree: A Legends Reunion and see Eric Bischoff being summoned to a dressing room where the unconscious bodies of Cactus Jack and Barry Windham were discovered, thus forcing Eric to cancel their scheduled street fight at Slamboree.
Here comes Cactus Jack to the ring. He's moving slowly and has some big bandages on his head. Cactus gets on the mic and talks about Slamboree. Before his scheduled match against Windham, Cactus decided to play some mind games and went to Windham's dressing room. They were trying to intimidate each other and were nose to nose when Cactus heard a sound from behind and then the lights went out. Someone attacked him and beat the holy hell out of him. And they got Windham too. Both men were beaten so badly that the match was cancelled. They were both taken to the hospital. Cactus doesn't mind if someone wants to fight. He was ready for a fight. He's still ready for a fight. Cactus has been informed by WCW Owner Eric Bischoff that next week, here on Nitro, he and WIndham will have their street fight. Jack vows the utter and total destruction of Barry Windham and says that it will be a massacre not for the weak at heart. Bang-bang! As for whoever attacked them, Cactus says he will find out who it was.. and they had better be prepared to take a walk down the path of blood, pain, agony, and slef-destruction because when he finds out who it was, he'll rip their freaking heart out!
We cut to the back and see Tank Abbott, along with Soce and Rico... and they're headed towards the ring.
(commercial)
We see clips from Slamboree as the team of Tank Abbott, Hugh Morris and Rico defeated Lenny Lane, Lodi and Kwee Wee in a six-man match thanks to the interference of Soce the Elemental Wizard....
TANK ABBOTT (with Soce the Elemental Wizard & Rico) versus LENNY LANE (with Lodi and Kwee Wee)
Lots of early interference by Rico, Lodi and Kwee Wee as they all attempt to get their shots in and help their wrestler. The referee is frustrated early and sends everyone to the back.. except for Soce who is flaunting a piece of paper, his "managers license" and says that he's allowed at ringside. The referee is arguing with Soce and Lenny is distracted by the arguing. Tank uses a mean left (and a set of brass knucks) to nail Lenny and KO him with one punch. Tank covers as the referee turns around and counts three.
Winner: TANK ABBOTT
(commercial)
We go backstage and Terri Runnels is standing by with the WCW World TV Champion, Scott Hall. Later tonight, Scott is defending his TV title against Jake "The Snake" Roberts. His thoughts? Hall talks about how Roberts has a reputation for being crazy - he's loco... Well, Scott has been known to be a little loco himself on occasion so it's cool. Roberts is a legend, but he's the "bad guy" and when he beats Jake tonight and keeps his title, it will be just "too sweet!"..
Marty Janetty steps into the picture. He knows that Scott has a title defense later tonight so he won't take long. Janetty beat Hulk Hogan last week on Nitro. He did pretty well last night in the Elimination Chamber match. And he'd like to go "one on one" with the "Bad Guy" for the WCW World TV Championship. So how about next week on Nitro, it's Hall versus Janetty for the gold! Scott says that's OK with him. Janetty has been on a roll lately. But so has Scott Hall. Tonight, it's Jake Roberts. Next week, it's Janetty. And in the end, it will always come out the same.. Scott Hall wins! Janetty smiles and says, "See you next week... champ!"
Back to the ring and David Penzer...
WCW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
BRIAN ADAMS & BRYAN CLARK - KRONIK (c) versus ARN ANDERSON & CHARLIE HAAS (with Woman & Miss Jackie) - THE HORSEMEN
It's obvious from the start that Clark and Adams aren't 100% tonight. Last night, they wrestled The Triad as Slamoboree and were the victims of a vicious 3 on 2 attack after the match. Arn and Haas are quick to capitalize and go after Kronik with an strong and brutal assault. Clark and Adams fight back and Arn is sent to the floor by a brutally stiff clothesline by Clark. It's "high times" for Haas and three seconds later, it's over.. just like that as Adams covers for the pin.
Winners and still champions: KRONIK
Here comes the Triad to the ring. They toss Haas to the floor and proceed to triple-team Clark and Adams. DDP hits the diamond cutter on Clark while Kanyon and Bam Bam Bigelow brutalize Brian Adams. Kronik is laid out as The Triad raises their arms and celebrates in the ring. Arn is back up and in with a chair and The Triad flees to the back. Arn is standing in the ring with the chair and looks around at all the chaos, including the barely stirring Clark and Adams. Arn takes the chair and whomps Clark across the head, laying him back out. Arn then takes the senseless Adams and gives him a big DDT to the mat. Arn rolls out of the ring and leaves with the Horsemen as referees and agents come to the ring to check on the fallen tag team champions.
(commercial)
We come back and see Cactus Jack in the back. He's looking for the persons who knocked him out from behind at Slamboree. He sees Colt Cabana, Mike Youngblood and Ethan Storm talking in the dining area. He goes up and grabs Youngblood! "Was it you? Was it you?" Storm and Cabana try to get Cactus off of Youngblood and Cactus just freaks out, pushing and shoving the men. Colts slammed hard into the wall while Ethan Storm decides to beat a hasty retreat. Cactus grabs Youngblood and throws him across a catering table. Food and coffee urns fly everywhere. Cactus just yells "Bang Bang" and storms off to continue his search for whoever the ambusher was.
We see Scott Steiner in the back. He storms into Eric Bischoff's office. Eric is on the phone, but quickly puts the phone down when Steiner comes crashing in. Steiner is pissed. He wants a shot at the World title and he wants it right now! Eric stands up to Scotty and says "No!"... If Scott wants to wrestle for the World title, he needs to step up and beat someone. Otherwise, he's wasting Eric's time! This pisses Scott off even more and he threatens to beat Eric's ass! Eric warns him that if he lays one finger on Eric, he will not only be fired, but Eric will "sue him until he has nothing left!" Scotty backs off a little bit, but he's still in Eric's face as he demands that Eric make a match so he can get back in the title picture. Eric says fine! If Scott wants a match, go to the ring. His opponent will be out there in a moment and if Scott happens to win... Eric will "consider" giving Steiner a title shot at one of the belts. Steiner is incensed and flips over Eric's desk, calling him a "idiot S.O.B.".. Steiner storms out of the office and he's headed to the ring. Eric breathes a big sigh of relief as Steiner leaves.
(commerical)
We come back and Scott Steiner is in the ring. He's calling for his opponent to "get his ass down here!" We hear the sounds of Metallica ring throughout the arena. Scott's opponent tonight is... The Sandman.
SCOTT STEINER versus THE SANDMAN
The ref calls for the bell as soon as Sandman gets to the ring. The fists are flying almost immediately. Steiner takes the advantage and uses a suplex to toss Sandman from the ring to the floor. Steiner follows and gets nailed in the head by the ever-present Kendo stick carried by Sandman. As the referee tries to get the stick away from Sandman, Steiner goes under the ring and gets his lead pipe. He tries to nail Sandman, who just manages to block it with the kendo-stick which is shattered. The referee realizes that he's lost control and just calls for the bell.
NO CONTEST - DOUBLE DQ
Agents and other referees are out to break up the two men. They finally get them seperated as we go to commercial.
(commercial)
We go backstage where Rich Landrum is with the World Tag Team Champions, KRONIK. Clark and Adams are obviously hurt, but have refused medical treatment. They are pissed off. Next week, they want The Horsemen and they want the Triad! And they want revenge! Here comes Soce the Elemental Wizard. He tells Kronik that they don't need to worry about the Horsemen, the Triad, or anyone else! Because they have other problems. Tank Abbott and Hugh Morris attack Kronik from behind and quickly lay out the already injured tag tam champs by slamming them into the wall and stomping away at them. Rico and Soce manage to get a few kicks before
The Elemental Wizards walk away laughing.
We go back to the ring and David Penzer...
WCW WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
SCOTT HALL (c) versus JAKE "THE SNAKE" ROBERTS
A classic match that sees both men manage to hit their signature spots and strut their stuff for the crowd, but neither is quite able to put the other away. Snake hits a big kneelift, but only gets two as Scott gets a foot on the ropes. Roberts goes for the short-arm clothesline, but Scott ducks and pulls Jake up into a brutal fall-away slam. Scott moves into position and nails Roberts with the Razors Edge to get the pin.
Winner and still champion: SCOTT HALL
(commercial)
Backstage again where Rich Landrum is with the Womens Champion, Lisa "Ivory" Moretti. She wants to know what the deal is with Rena Mero. We go back to Slamboree and see clips of Rena getting involved after the match where Ivory retained her title against Woman and Miss Jackie and nailing Moretti with a chair.
Ivory says she has a concussion and the doctors won't let her wrestle tonight, but she's not going to let this go. If Rena wanted her attention, she's gotten it! She knows that Rena isn't here tonight. She's on a plane with her boyfriend, Brock going to Japan right now. But Rena is supposed to be here next week. And when she arrives, Ivory is calling her out and kicking her skank butt!
We see Cactus Jack walk by. He's still nuts, hollering at people, "Was it you? Was it you?".... The camera follows him as he approaches Scott Andrews talking to Kwee Wee. He nails Scoot from behind and tosses him to the floor. Kwee Wee attacks Cactus and gets some shots in until Cactus lets out a scream like a wild animal and locks Kwee Wee in the mandible claw. Here come WCW officials to pull Cactus off of Kwee Wee who looks deranged and keeps screaming "Was it you?" at everyone!

Schiavone confirms that next week on Nitro, it will be the winner of the Jarrett/Hogan match against the WCW World Champion, either Harley Race or Sean O'Haire. Plus, there will be a Four-Corners match for the World Tag Team Titles as Kronik defends against The Triad, The Horsemen, and the team of Tank Abbott & Hugh Morris. Plus Scott Hall versus Marty Janetty for the TV title.
We go to ring announcer David Penzer who introduces, for the people who misses Slamboree last night, the newest members of the WCW Hall of Fame Class of 2006. He introduces Rick Rude and Curt Hennig first and we see a quick video tribute to them. Then he introduces the remaining members of the WCW HOF Class of 2006 who all come to the ring: Penny Banner, Bruno Sammartino, Afa & Sika - The Wild Samoans, The Exotic Adrian Street (with Miss Linda), Mil Mascaras, King Kong Angelo Mosca & Baron Von Raschke...
Adrian gets the mic and starts to talk. And here comes "Above Average" Mike Sanders to the ring. He makes a few cracks about the place reeking of "Ben Gay" and asks if someone forgot to "change their Depends." He's just his usual obnoxious self and gets in the face of Bruno. "So you're a living legend, huh? Look like a dumpy old man to me!"
Bruno nails Sanders across the head with a big left and the "Above Average" one is stunned. He walks right into a double-clothesline by Afa & Sika. Adrian Steet picks him up and tosses him with a picture-perfect suplex. Miss Linda and Penny direct traffic as we see Mil Mascaras go up to the top rope and deliver beautiful cross-body splash onto the prone figure of Sanders. And then, we see Bruno pick up Sanders and sling him into the arms of Baron Von Raschke who applies his vicious claw. Sanders quickly goes down and out! The Legends celebrate as we cut to commercial. Hulk Hogan versus Jeff Jarrett is next!
(commercial)
We go to David Penzer..
"THE IMMORTAL" HULK HOGAN versus "THE CHOSEN ONE" JEFF JARRETT
Lots of mouthing back and forth as the ref calls for the bell. Jarrett uses the speed advantage to keep away from Hulk, frustrating the bigger man. Finally, Hogan manages to catch up with Jarrett and pounds away with several closed fists before slamming "Double J" to the mat for a two. More punches by Hogan and a big kick that sends Jarrett to the floor. Hulk follows and straps Jarrett across the back with his weight belt before ramming him into the ringpost. Hogan flexes and goes for the big legdrop on Jarrett, but Jeff moves and Hogan crashes hard to the mat. Jarrett goes immediately after the leg and hip of Hogan with a kneebreaker and then the figure-four. Hogan struggles and makes it to the ropes. Jarrett breaks as we go to commercial.
(commercial)
We come back and Jarrett is continuing to work on the leg and hip of Hogan. Jarrett goes again for the figure-four, but Hulk uses a wrestling hold and rolls him into a cradle for two. Jarrett escapes and kicks away at Hogan who immediately begins to "no-sell" and hulk up! Hogan does the shaking thing and points at Jarrett before unloading several fists to the head of Jarrett. Hogan whips Jarrett into the ropes for the boot, but Jeff grabs the referee as he rebounds off the ropes and the ref goes face first into the big boot by Hogan. The referee is down. Hogan tries again and nails the boot and legdrop on Jeff. He covers, but there is no referee to make the count. Hogan gets up to get the referee. While Hogan is pulling the referee up off the mat, Jarrett is in the corner and getting the guitar. Hogan turns around and "OINGO BOINGO" - Jarrett smashes the guitar across the head of Hogan. Jarrett kicks the guitar debris from the ring and covers Hogan. The referee slides into position and counts the pin.
Winner and new # 1 Contender: JEFF JARRETT
We see a shot of Harley Race in the back working up a sweat. The WCW World Championship match is up next.
(commercial)
We see a video promo for the next big WCW PPV - it's "WCW Spring Stampede" coming up on April 7, 2006 from Panama City, Florida......
WCW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
SEAN O'HAIRE (with Woman) (c) versus HARLEY RACE
Harley and Sean start off slowly as each man is trying to feel out his opponent. O'Haire is the first to move in with some hard punches and a series of suplexes that tosses Race to the floor. Harley pulls himself up on the floor and you can see the determination in his eyes. Harley reaches into the ring and grabs Sean's leg, pulling him to the floor where Race delivers a huge left hand before slamming Sean hard on to the concrete floor. Race rolls in the ring to break the count and comes out to go back after O'Haire. Race goes for a piledriver on the floor, but O'Haire reverses and backdrops Race on to the concrete. Both men are down as we cut to a commercial.
(commercial)
We come back and both men are in the ring trading lefts. Race scores with a suplex and then heads to the top. Diving headbutt by Race, but O'Haire moves and Race crashes and burns. We see Sean move up to the top now for the Swanton. He flies, but Harley rolls at the last second and it's O'Haire's turn to eat mat. Both men are on their knees and trading punches. Race goes behind O'Haire for a suplex, but O'Haire reverses and suplexes Race to the mat. Both men have their shoulders on the mat as the referee starts to count. At the last second, Race jerks his left shoulder up and we hear Woman scream from ringside as the referee's hand hits the mat for the third time. O'Haire has been pinned and we have a new WCW World Champion.
Winner and NEW WCW WORLD CHAMPION: HARLEY RACE
The look on the face of O'Haire tells it all. He's stunned as the referee raises Harley's arm in victory and presents him with the WCW World Championship. O'Haire just rolls out of the ring and walks up the ramp, stunned, as Harley celebrates his huge victory.
We fade to black as the show ends.
THE END...
