WCW Monday Nitro
July 31, 2006
Topeka, Kansas
We have pyro and fireworks and dancing as the Nitro Girls are in the ring as we come on the air. They're dancing to the sounds of hip-hop rapper / manager Soce the Elemental Wizard as they finish their set. We go to ringgside where Tony Schiavone, Larry Zbyszko & Brian Adams welcome us to WCW Monday Nitro.
We're just six days away from the Road Wild PPV and it promises to be a huge event. More on that later, but we're going to start off with action as we go to ring announcer David Penzer..
Before Penzer can speak, music hits and here comes the WCW Cruiserweight Champion, "The Juice" Juventud Guerrera. Juvi gets in the ring and acknowledges his fans before going down to the announce position and putting on a headset. He's there to scout the next match and find out who will be challenging him for his Cruiserweight Championship at Road Wild.
We go back to Penzer..
SIX MAN ELIMINATION MATCH - THE WINNER WILL BE THE NUMBER ONE CONTENDER FOR THE WCW CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPION AND FACE JUVENTUD GUERRERA AT ROAD WILD:
"PRIMETIME" ELIX SKIPPER versus "SUPERSTAR" CHRIS CHETTI w/ Shawn Stasiak versus HEART THROB ROMEO versus HEART THROB ANTONIO versus COLT CABANA w/ Lodi versus "YOUR NEW ADDICTION" KRAZY K
It's elimination style as wrestlers can be eliminated by pinfall, submission, count-out or DQ until one man remains. All six men immediately start brawling and flying around the ring. The Heart Throbs doubleteam Skipper while Chetti and Krazy K are slugging it out in the center of the ring. Colt Cabana has retreated to a corner where he's apparantly decided to hit and run. Chetti nails Skipper with a vertebreaker and covers for two, but The Heart Throbs make the save. Krazy K scores with a roll-up on the stunned Skipper and gets the pin. ELIX SKIPPER IS ELIMINATED! As Kirby celebrates his pin, he's caught by a neckbreaker by the sneaky Colt Cabana. Colt covers and pins Krazy K. "KRAZY K" IS ELIMINATED! It's now down to four men as they pair up and The Heart Throbs are slugging it out with Chetti and Cabana. Stasiak pulls the top rope down from the outside and Romeo hits the floor hard. The referee spots this and admonishes Shawn Stasiak. Chetti moves to complain, but is scooped up by Heart Throb Antonio and pinned for the three count. CHRIS CHETTI HAS BEEN ELIMINATED!

We come back and Colt and Antonio are going back and forth in an incredible series of moves. Romeo is back in and joins the action as The Heart Throbs double-team Colt Cabana. Romeo holds Colt while Antonio goes to the top rope. We see Lodi up and he grabs the foot of Antonio, causing him to tumble to the mat. The referee saw the interference and calls for the DQ on Colt for outside interferene. COT CABANA HAS BEEN ELIMINATED! It's just Antonio and Romeo - the Heart Throbs, left in the ring. Romeo moves in to check on his fallen partner who is still on the mat. As Romeo gets close, Antonio rolls him up and into a small package. The referee counts three and ROMEO HAS BEEN ELIMINATED!
WINNER: HEART THROB ANTONIO THOMAS
Romeo is stunned and angry and gets in Antonio's face. Antonio is explaining that it was every man for himself and he did what he had to. Romeo and Antonio exchange looks and finally, Romeo raises Antonio's hand in victory as the two men embrace. Antonio is going to Road Wild to challenge Juvi for the Cruiserweight Championship. Juvi stands up at ringside and Antonio mimics the title around his waist as they exchange dirty looks.

We come back and music hits as "The Bad Guy" Scott Hall comes to the ring. He wants to do a little survey. At Road Wild, he's facing "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Daniel Puder. So do the fans (A) Want to see him beat Puder up and get the pinfall... or (B) Don't worry about winning - just kick Puder's ass! The fans cheer for both suggestions and Hall just smiles as he promises that it will be a long night for Daniel Puder.
Here comes Daniel Puder to the rampway. They don't have to wait until Sunday. They can do it right now! Hall tells Puder "don't sing it - bring it!"... Puder looks t move towards the ring, but stops. Here comes Hugh Morrus & Tank Abbott, the WCW World Tag Team Champions from the other side of the ring through the crowd and they go after Hall. Hall tries to fight them off, but Puder joins the attack as well and it's three on one. Here comes Diamond Dallas Page & Kanyon to to the ring, along with Marty Jannetty. The guys quickly clear the ring of Tag Team Champs and Puder. As Kanyon & Jannetty help up Scott, DDP gets the mic. If that's all that Puder has, he's going to get his butt kicked on Sunday. As for Morrus & Abbott, DDP has checked the schedules and so far, they're not wrestling at the PPV. So how about Morrus & Abbott versus Kanyon & Jannetty for the WCW World Tag Team Championships. Morrus, Abbott & Puder mutter some expletives as they head towards the back without giving an answer. DDP, Hall, Kanyon & Jannetty all celebrate and pose in the ring as we go to commercial.

A video-promo airs - coming on Sunday, August 6th on PPV - it's WCW ROAD WILD...
Backstage, we see Daniel Puder, Hugh Morrus & Tank Abbott in the dressing rooms. Here is their manager, Soce the Elemental Wizard. He's upset and wants to know what they've done. He just arrived at the building during the break and the first thing he hears is that they attacked Scott Hall and now the champs are defending the titles at the PPV? What's up with that! Puder tells Soce that they have it under control, but where was he? He's their manager and should have been here. Abbott asks if he's been "messing with that bum, Youngblood again!" Soce glares at Tank and says he just flew in from a recording session with J-Lo, but he called to say he'd be late. Morrus says that no one told them about it. Soce says he told Rico. Rico steps into the picture, "Told him what?". Abbott tells Rico that Soce called him to say he'd be late, but why didn't Rico tell them? Rico makes excuses - it must have slipped his mind. But now he has news. He just came from Eric Bischoff's office and Eric has made a match for later tonight. It's eight-man tag action as The Elementalz are taking on DDP, Scott Hall, Kanyon & Marty Jannetty. So they need to quit bickering and get ready for a match. All the guys turn and look at Soce. "So what do we do, boss?", says Morrus, as we go to the ring.
David Penzer makes the introductions for the next match...
STRAWBERRY FIELDS versus LUNA VACHON
A quick squash as Luna attacks at the bell and quickly plants Strawberry to the mat with a series of clotheslines and a DDT. Luna screams at the referee and some fans at ringside as Strawberry tries to throw a few punches to fight back. Powerslam by Luna and she covers for the pin.
Winner: LUNA VACHON
Lua gets the mic. At Road Wild, she will become the Women's Champion. She will wear gold! She will taste Ivory's blood! Luna begins shreiking and screaming at the referee and David Penzer and lets out a high-pitched ear piercing scream as we go to commercial...

Backstage, we see WCW Owner Eric Bischoff walking down the hallway towards his office. He's stopped by "The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner. They want to know why they're wrestling Booker T & The Giant in singles matches tonight to see who gets the World Title match against Sean O'Haire at the PPV? Jarrett says he should get the title match. Steiner just laughs and says Jarrett's had the shots and now it's his turn. Eric tells them both that they can settle it in the ring. Jarrett is wrestling Booker T later tonight. Steiner is taking on The Giant. The winners of those matches will wrestle at Thunder to determine the # 1 Contender for Sean O'Haire and the WCW World Championship. The men who lose will all team together in a six-man at the PPV against Tuly Blancard, Lex Luger & Barry Windham. Eric suggests that they go get ready for their matches since Scott's is in the next segment. Jarrett says that it's not over - he's "The Chosen One" and they walk off. Eric continues towards his office, and as he opens the door, we see Nick Hogan on the phone, talking to someone. Nick quickly says that he has to go and hangs up the phone. Eric asks who Nick was talking to... Nick mutters something about a "wrong number" and quickly gives his "dad" a hug. Eric looks confused, but hugs his "son" as we go to the ring and David Penzer...
CHARLIE HAAS & C.W. ANDERSON - THE HORSEMEN w/ Dawn Marie versus "WILDFIRE" TOMMY RICH & "DIRTY" DOUG GILBERT
A rematch from this past weeks WCW Saturday Night. Rich and Gilbert attack at the bell and take the early advantage over Haas. Anderson gets involved and just runs over both men with clotheslines and slams. DDT by Anderson on Rich. Haas tags in and applies the "Haas of Pain" and Rich is forced to submit!
Winners: CHARLIE HAAS & C.W. ANDERSON - THE HORSEMEN

We come back and Schiavone, Zbyszko & Adams talk at ringside about the events so far on the program. Schiavone mentions about how Adams has challenged the man claiming to be "Sting" to a face-down at Road Wild and we see a video package highlighting the past few weeks as the man posing as Sting has been appearing in the rafters at different WCW Events. We see Adams reveal that it's not "Steve Borden" who's been attending the WCW Events and calling out the imposter for Road Wild. Finally, we see last week on Thunder as thousands of pamphlets with a picture of a Scorpion fill the arena as the imposter "Sting" has apparantly accepted Adams challenge to appear at Road Wild.
Schiavione says that he's getting word from the back that Rich Landrum is standing by with "Sting"... We go to the back and Rich is there with a man in a black trenchcoat and wearing a Sting mask. Rich asks the man about the challenge made by Adams - and if he accepts. The masked man just glares at Landrum. Landrum says that they know that this guy is not Steve Borden, the real Sting.. so who is he? He needs to reveal himself. The man glares at Landrum again before turning and walking off. We go to commercial.
(commerical)
We go to David Penzer for the next match.
"BIG POPPA PUMP" SCOTT STEINER versus THE GIANT w/ Joel Gertner
Steiner starts off with punches and kicks and attempts to suplex the 500lb Giant. Giant with the headbutt and a a chop. Scotty with fists and a rake to the eyes. Belly-to-Belly by Steiner for two. Steiner with kicks, but the Giant is still getting up. He's up and he's mad. Fists and slams by The Giant. Steiner with a Steiner-line, but to no effect. Giant grabs Scotty by the throat and applies the chokeslam for the easy pin.
Winner: THE GIANT w/ Joel Gertner

We come back and the Nitro Girls are once again in the ring, doing their dance routine. We see Carmella DeCesare flub a move and totally disrupt the routine. As the other girls continue dancing, Joy Giovanni quits dancing and shoves Carmella. Carmella shoves her back and then charges the larger Giovanni. CAT FIGHT! The other Nitro Girls quickly break them up and the camera breaks away to backstage.
Terri Runnels is standing by with Lex Luger, Tully Blancard, Barry Windham & Woman. No matter what Sean O'Haire or anyone else says, they are Horsemen and will prove that once again at Road Wild as they take on three opponents. One will be Scott Steiner. The other two are still unknown, but it doesn't matter if it's Booker T, Jeff Jarrett or The Giant. Look for the Horsemen to come out on top. Tully mentions that he's hoping for Jarrett to end this once and for all. Windham talks about how he'd like to take that big Giant and bulldog his face into the mat. Luger says it doens't matter who it is - they will end up in the "Torture Rack" and tap... just like anyone else who attempts to get into the path of The Horsemen..
We cut now and see Jeff Jarrett - he's headed towards the ring. It's Jeff Jarrett versus Booker T... next!
(commercial)
We come back and The Nitro Girls are gathered in Eric Bischoff's office. What the hel just happened out there on national TV? Spice attempts to make excuses for the girls, but Eric cuts her off. He doesn't blame any of the original Nitro girls. It's these two newcomers to the group, Carmella & Joy. He thought they'd fit in, but they don't. Eric tells the Nitro Girls to leave his office, except for Carmella & Joy. The girls file out as Eric ponders the situation. He knows that Carmelle & Joy have a history between them from the Diva Search up North. And they need to work out their differences or else he'll fire both of them. So at Road Wild, it'll be Carmella versus Joy in a "Bra & Panties" match. Eric tells them to leave his office.. now! As Carmella & Joy leave, Eric turns to his "son" Nick Hogan, who's grinning like a possum! "So what do you think, Nick?" Nick just laughs "Bra & Panties - he wants to be at ringside for that one!" Nick and Eric share a laugh as we go to the ring and David Penzer..
"THE CHOSEN ONE" JEFF JARRETT versus BOOKER T w/ Sharmell
Sharmell is mouthy and complaining to the referee before the match even begins. Jarrett tells her to shut her mouth and Booker nails him from behind as the bell rings. It's all Booker to start as he dominates with punches, chops and kicks. Jarrett goes to the eyes and hits a neckbreaker. Jarrett slams Booker into the corner and works him over with punches and a choke. Jeff tosses Booker to the floor and follows him out. Booker reverses a whip into the fan barrier and Jarrett crashes hard into the barrier. Booker with chops before rolling Jeff back into the ring. Jeff with a knee to the guts and a thumb to the eyes. Jeff with a neckbreaker and he goes outside the ring and gets the guitar. Jeff comes back into the ring and the referee warns him that if he uses the guitar, he'll be DQ'ed. Booker moves in and kicks Jeff in the stomach and causing him to drop the guitar. As the referee moves the guitar from the ring and is distracted, Booker attempts a scissors-kick. Jeff hits the low blow and then cradles Booker for the pin.
Winner: "THE CHOSEN ONE" JEFF JARRETT
Sharmell comes in to check on Booker as the referee raises Jeff's hand in victory!

We come back and see Soce talking to Rico. Soce is still mad about Rico attacking Youngblood last week on Thunder, but he understands. They have to stick together and protect those titles. Rico is glad that Soce has seen the light. He hates being mad at his manager. Rico and Soce share a hug in a Hallmark moment and Soce tells Rico to go get Hugh, Tank & Puder. Their match is up next. As Rico leaves, Soce makes sure he's gone and we see Mike Youngblood step out. He apologies to Soce for causing these problems with the team, but Rico did start it. Soce says that they don't have time to talk about that, but they'll talk after the show. Youngblood tells Soce that he hopes that when he beats Rico for the TV title at Road Wild, it won't change things. Soce says not to worry about that - and gives Youngblood a hug. They hear someone coming and Mike quickly leaves. RIco, Hugh, Abbott & Puder step into the scene. Is Soce ready for their match? Soce just smiles and says, "Let go do it!"..
We go to Terri Runnels who is standing by with the WCW World Champion Sean O'Haire, Dawn Marie, C.W. Anderson & Charlie Haas. Sean wants to get something straight. He's been thinking and if Luger, Windham & Tully want to call themselves "The Horsemen", who is he to object. Dawn, C.W. and Charlie look stunned at this announcement. Sean wants to explain. Lex, Tully and Barry are legends and original Horsemen and they deserve respect. All it means to O'Haire is more superstars with one goal - to work together and protect that World title.. After all, Horsemen don't wrestle other Horsemen, right? As for Road Wild, it looks as if Sean will be facing either Jeff Jarrett or The Giant. It doesn't matter to O'Haire. He's the WCW World Champion and, with the Horsemen,,,, ALL THE HORSEMEN,, watching his back, there is no way in hell he's going to lose the title to anyone. Terri asks Dawn Marie about the match on Thunder where she caused Lex Luger & Barry Windham to be DQ'ed against the World Tag Team Champions. What was up with that? Dawn gets defensive and says that she made a mistake. No big deal. She's already apologized to Lex & Barry. It's all for one and one for all.. right! O'Haire assures her that she's right as we go to commercial.
(commerical)
We go to David Penzer and it's time for THE MAIN EVENT..
EIGHT MAN TAG TEAM ACTION
DANIEL PUDER, HUGH MORRUS, TANK ABBOTT & RICO w/ soce the elemental wizard - THE ELEMENTALZ versus SCOTT HALL, MARTY JANNETTY, DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE & KANYON
It's chaos and action from the beginning as the bell rings and all four men are ready to go at it. The refereeis having a hard time keeping order as neither side seems too convcerned about making tags -they just want to fight. Finally, Rico has the advantage over Jannetty and levels him with a superkick. Just as he's prepared to put Marty away, we see images flash on the Nitrotron and see the footage from earlier in the show where Soce and Mike Youngblood were talking and shared a hug. Rico watches the video on the Nitrotron and hollers at Soce. We see Kanyon come up from behind and score with the Kanyon-Cutter. Jannetty covers Rico for the pin as DDP, Kanyon & Hall stop Morrus, Abbott & Puder from interfering.
Winners: SCOTT HALL, MARTY JANNETTY, DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE & KANYON
As Hall, DDP, Kanyon & Jannetty celebrate their victory, we see Rico outside the ring. He's yelling at Soce as the Elementalz head up the rampway. What's going on? Why is Soce still talking to Youngblood! The barrage of questions continues as they head into the back.
We go to Schiavone, Adams & Zbyszko at ringside who talk about the show and thank the fans. See you on Thursday with WCW Thunder and Sunday at WCW ROAD WILD on PPV.
THE END...
