WCW Monday Nitro
June 5, 2006
Milwaukee, WI
Bradley Center
Fireworks and the roar of the capacity crowd welcome us to the show. Tony Schiavone, Dutch Mantell & Rich Landrum are at ringside and welcome us to the show! It's another big night for WCW as we're just six days away from the Bash At The Beach. Later tonight, Eric Bischoff will reveal who will be challenging Sean O'Haire for the WCW World Championship at the PPV. Plus so much more.
Music hits and here comes the boss, WCW Owner Eric Bischoff to the ring. Big chants of "asshole" fill the arena as Eric gets on the mic. He wants to make a few announcements about tonight's show. In the main event, it's WCW World Champion Sean O'Haire defending the WCW World Championship against the challenge of Cactus Jack. And the winner of tonight's main event will go to the Bash at the Beach to face a returning WCW Superstar and defend that big gold belt. Who's the challenger? They're here and will be out.... later tonight. The other subject on his mind is Hulk Hogan. Last week, Hogan dared to lay his hands on him, Eric Bischoff. He had Hogan arrested and hauled away in handcuffs. He should fire Hogan, but Hogan makes the company money and does put butts in the seats. Eric's other problem is his "Executive Director" Cyrus. After just a few weeks on the job, Cyrus has proven to be a dissapointment to Eric. He had a simple job to do in beating Sean Waltman, X-Pac at the Clash of the Champions and he didn't get the job done. So Eric decided to make a match for the Bash at the Beach - Cyrus versus Hogan in a "Pink Slip Match". But now that he's had a week to think about it, he's changed his mind. Instead of firing anyone, he's just going to teach both Hogan and Cyrus about respect. So at the Bash at the Beach, it will be Cyrus taking on...
We hear music hit as over the speaker system comes the sound of a familiar voice going "Well, well well!"... Coming out on the rampway carrying a mic is none other than Joel "The Quinessential Stud Muffin" Gernter. Eric looks annoyed at being interupted, but doesn't say anything as Joel Gertner gets into the ring. Gertner introduces himself to Eric and cuts loose with a profane & very explicit rhyme as he does so. Gertner says that way back in that little bingo hall in Philadelphia, he ran Cyrus out of the company and beat him like the weasly little puke he was. And if Eric is looking for someone to kick Cyrus's ass, he's found his man. Eric says that he doesn't care what happened in that little second-rate sweatbox known as ECW, but if Gertner wants a job here in WCW, where the bg boys play, he's got it! All he has to do is beat Cyrus at the Bash at the Beach. Joel goes into a major ass-kissing mode and tells Eric that it will be done!
More music hits and here comes the WCW "Executive Director" Cyrus to the ring. He tells Eric again how sorry he is about what happened at the Clash and he promises to make it up to him. But what the hell is Joel Gertner doing here? He's a joke and a clown! Gertner grabs the mic and says that he might not be the biggest or the baddest, except for in the bedroom of course (big pop), but hes going to kick Cyrus's tail. Cyrus slaps Gertner in the face. Joel responds with a big spear that sends Cyrus sprawling to the mat. It's all Gertner as he unloads fists and Cyrus rolls out of the ring to escape. Cyrus is pointing and making threats as he backs up the ramp and we cut to a commercial.
(commercial)
We come back and go to the announcers who discuss what just went down with Cyrus and the newly arrived Joel Gertner. The match is official and will be at Bash at the Beach. Mantell brings up that Bischoff never got around to revealing what he has in mind for Hulk Hogan. Tony speculates that we'll find out later.
We see video from last week as Vampiro tries to make up to Luna, only to be attacked backstage by Gangrel and then beaten down by both Gangrel and Luna.
We go to Dave Penzer for the first match.
GANGREL (with Luna) versus RENE DUPREE
It's a relatively quick match as Dupree takes the early advantage with an armdrag and some kicks in the corner. A slam by Dupree and it's time for the "French Tickler". Dupree does his little dance and see's Luna up on the apron. Rene goes after Luna who drops to the floor before Rene can grab at her. Gangrel is up and catches Rene from behind with a knee to the back. Big spiked DDT by Gangrel and he covers as referee Russ Cherico makes the count.
Winner: GANGREL
As Gangrel gets his arm raised in victory by Luna, we see a voice and face come up on the Nitrotron. It's Vampiro. He tells Luna and Gangrel to enjoy their victory. At the upcoming PPV, they won't be having so much fun because it will be a 'First Blood Match" between Gangrel & Vampiro. Vampiro says that he'll see them at the Bash as we see Luna & Gangrel over-react and get upset at the announcement in the ring.
Backstage, we see Buff Bagwell standing and posing in front of the mirror and admiring himself. We hear a loud whistle and here is the WCW Women's Champion, April Hunter. She compliments Buff on his "stuff" and strikes a few poses of her own. Buff admires her "talents" and we have a big-time egofest going on as the two compare notes on who is the hottest, sexiest, etc.
We hear a voice from behind them saying, "Give me a break! Is that mirror big enough for those two big heads!" It's Ivory. She cracks on them both for their over-inflated egos and implies that April is "98% silicone" while Buff looks like he "stuffs his stuff". April gets catty and says that Ivory is just jealous that she's not as beautiful and not the Womens Champion anymore. Ivory says that she has nothing to be jealous about, and as for the title, it's just a matter of time before she gets that back. Why not tonight? April says no and that she doesn't feel that Ivory is "tough enough to wrestle her one on one", but if Ivory can find a partner that will team with her, they can have a tag match against her and Buff. Ivory doesn't have a chance to say anything as we see "The Juice" walk up. He couldn't help but overhear and if Ivory wants a partner against the two ego-morons, then Juvi is her man. Ivory smiles and tells April & Buff that "we'll see you in the ring", before walking off with Juvi.

A video promo airs for "WCW Bash At The Beach" coming up this Sunday from Huntington Beach, CA on PPV.
We go backstage and see Soce the Elemental Wizard, Rico, Tank Abbott & Hugh Morrus. They're waiting for Soce's bodyguard, Daniel Puder to get ready so they can head to the ring. Puder comes out and is wearing a sweatshirt that reads, "I Hurt Kurt - He Whined". Everyone breaks up at this, but Soce tells Daniel that he can't wear that to the ring. Someone from up north might be watching and although "it's very true, it's damn true", no one cares about those guys anyhow. Soce tells Puder that he has a new shirt for him and pulls out a t-shirt that says, "I Hurt Goldberg - Who's Next!". Puder looks at the new shirt and breaks out in a big smile as he hugs Soce and thanks him for the new shirt. He's going to go put it on right now!
We go back to the ring and it's time for "Blackjack's BBQ" as Blackjack Mulligan is standing in the ring. He has two guest who asked for this time. Here they are, the "Model of Excellence" Rob Conway and "Above Average" Mike Sanders. Sanders & Conway come to the ring and immediately begin bad-mouthing Harley Race, who announced his retirement from active wrestling last week on Nitro. They take credit for "running the old man out of wrestling" and imply that Race retired because he was scared that he might have to step into the ring with them.
Mulligan takes offense at that and sets the two younger men straight that Race is more of a man and wrestler than either of them. Conway asks Mulligan if "he's more of a man than them too?". Mulligan says that both of these boys need a trip out behind the bunkhouse for a good tail-whooping! It's getting heated and Conway & Sanders look ready to jump on Mulligan. Mulligan tells them to "quit crying like little babys" and we see Conway/Sanders attack the 6'8 cowboy from Eagle Pass. As Sanders & Conway are beating and pounding on Mulligan, the crowd erupts as here comes Terry Funk down to the ring and he quickly comes to Mulligan's aid. The two Texans clear the ring of Sanders and Conway. Here is Eric Bischoff out on the rampway. If these four men want to fight, then get a referee down there and they can do it right now in a tag team match. We see referee Brent Robinson come running past Bischoff and hit the ring, calling for the bell. We have a match.
BLACKJACK MULLIGAN & TERRY FUNK versus ROB CONWAY & MIKE SANDERS
As Muligan and Sanders lock up in the center of the ring, we go to commercial.
(commercial)
We come back and the match is in progress.
It's fists flying as Conway is working over Mulligan in the corner. Blackjack gets angry and we see the eyes bulge as the big Texan winds up and levels Conway with a big punch that sends Rob flying back into his own corner where he tags in Sanders. Mike comes in and runs right into a big boot by Mulligan. Tag to Funk who takes down Sanders with a clothesline. A clothesline to Conway knocks him to the floor and Terry floors Sanders with a slam. Tag to Mulligan who delivers a suplex and tags Fuk in again. Off-the-top moonsault by Terry Funk that hits home on Sanders. Mulligan levels Conway with a punch as Terry covers Sanders. Referee Brent Robinson counts three and calls for the bell.
Winners: TERRY FUNK & BLACKJACK MULLIGAN
We go backstage and see DDP talking to Kanyon. He's got a match tonight against Scott Hall. DDP gives Kanyon the big pep talk and psyches him up. He's ready and Kanyon tells Page that Hall will "feel the Bang!". They start heading towards the ring.
(commercial)
Scott Hall & Sean Waltman come to the ring and Scott gets the microphone. "Hey yo!" Hall says. He talks about how Kanyon & Page whined and cried to Bischoff about how Hall, Nash & X-Pac beat them last week on Nitro and now, all of a sudden, he's got a match against Kanyon. It's nothing personal, but Scott feels that he should be going after titles and not wasting him time in meaningless matches with Kanyon. So he plans to make it short and sweet tonight. And he's got "The Kid" here to make sure that DDP doesn't try anything funny. Waltman gets the mic. He has a challenge to issue later. Jeff Hardy is backstage somewhere. Waltman checked and knows that Hardy doesn't have an opponent for the Bash at the Beach yet. So why not have Hardy versus X-Pac for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship at the PPV? And if Hardy or anyone else is not down with that, two words for them.... "Suck it!"
We go to Penzer for the match introductions.
SCOTT HALL (with Sean Waltman) versus KANYON (with Diamond Dallas Page)
A hard-hitting match that see's Kanyon dominating most of the action as he works on the neck of Hall, scoring with several clubbing blows and a big neckbreaker. A distraction by Waltman allows Hall to fight back and regain his momentum with chops and a big fall-away slam for two. Both men are back up as the action continues and we see Kanyon miss a clothesline. Hall manages to connect with a big DDT and covers Kanyon. Chris gets a foot on the ropes, but we see Waltman knock it off before referee Cherico can notice it and the ref counts three.
Winner: SCOTT HALL (with Sean Waltman)
Dallas & Kanyon complain to the referee about the pin, but to no avail as the referee raises Hall's arm in victory.
(commercial)
We come back and Terri Runnels is with the WCW Cruiserweight Champion, Jeff Hardy. Jeff accepts the challenge of Waltman for the PPV and vows to show Waltman what being extreme is all about! Krazy-K, Kirby Mack steps into the picture. He has an even better idea. Why not make this match at Bash at the Beach a triple-threat match with Jeff Hardy versus Sean Waltman versus Krazy-K? Hardy says that's fine with him and reminds Kirby that he's already beaten once. Kirby says that was then and this is now and it's time for "Your New Addiction" to give his Addicts something back - something like the WCW Cruiserweight Championship. Kirby & Hardy stare off as we go to the ring..
Disco Inferno & Alex Wright are in the middle of the ring and still wearing the monkey suits as a result of the match stipulation from the Clash. They're sick of the monkey jokes. They're sick of wrestlers planting bananas in their bags. They're tired of the ribbing and they're tired of those damn monkey suits. They want Colt Cabana & Lodi out there right now so they can beat their asses and quit wearing the monkey outfits!
DISCO INFERNO & ALEX WRIGHT versus COLT CABANA & LODI (with Christy Hemme)
It's quick paced as both teams are quick with the tags and the double-teaming. Disco & Alex are working on the neck and backs of Cabana, while it seems that Colt & Lodi are more focused on the left arm of their opponents. Finally, in a confusing moment at the end, we see Colt lock Alex into a sleeper hold. Disco is up and he's got his duck and is prepared to level Cabana to break things up. Hemme is up and grabs the duck from Disco and the two have a tug-of-war on the ring apron over Disco's duck. Disco lets go and Hemme, who has moved inside the ring, goes falling backwards, tumbling into Cabana & Alex. Disco goes and levels Lodi on the ring apron while Colt, distracted by Hemme, turns to see what happened. Alex drops down and levels Cabana with a low blow from behind. The referee makes Christy get out of the ring and sees Alex covering Cabana. Referee Brent Robinson counts three and the match is over.
Winners; DISCO INFERNO & ALEX WRIGHT
Christy & Lodi check on Colt as Disco and Alex celebrate. The days of wearing the monkey suits are finally over

We go backstage where Bob Caudle is standing by with "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson & Charlie Haas, two members of the Horsemen. Arn welcomes Caudle back to WCW and talks about Jeff Jarrett. At the PPV, it's Arn versus Jarrett in a "Last Man Standing" match. Jarrett might think that he's "king of the mountain", but at the PPV, he's in for the beating of a lifetime. Jarrett took it upon himself to injure Woman, and this was on Arn's watch as the leader of the Horsemen. Well, paybacks are a bitch and Jeff is going to find out why Arn was "The Enforcer" for all those years with the Horsemen. Haas stops Arn and says that he might not even have to worry about Jarrett at the PPV because it's Haas versus Jarrett tonight. The Horsemen have all been banned from ringside, but that's OK with Haas. He plans to taking it to Jarrett with everything he has and making sure that Jeff experiences first hand the Haas of Pain. Caudle asks about Woman and if the Horsemen are planning on replacing her. Arn says that Woman, and Jackie Gayda for that matter, are Horsemen and irreplaceable, but they have spoken to someone about filling the role while Woman & Jackie are incapacitated. And this lady has said yes! She's on her way to the arena right now from the airport and will be here shortly. Caudle asks who it is, and Arn tells him to wait and see, just like everyone else! And now, they've got things to do.
We cut to the ring and here comes Jeff Jarrett to the ring. He's not happy! He should be wrestling O'Haire for the World Championship, but instead he's stuck wrestling third-rate jackasses who are mad because he happened to hurt Woman. Well, if Woman had known her place, at home in the kitchen, barefoot and pregnant, she wouldn't have been hurt. She tried to stick her nose into a man's world, his world, and she suffered the consequences. Get over it! At the PPV.he has Arn Anderson in a "Last Man Standing" match. Jarrett mentions Arn's neck injuries that ended his career once and vows to put Arn out once and for all. As for tonight, he's fighting Charlie Haas. He commends Haaas for having enough sense to send his dumb blonde wife home when it got too hot, but Jarrett still vows to put Haas down and make sure that Charlie realizes that he is "the chosen one" and the man "with all the stroke around here!". Jarrett hollers to the back for Charlie to "get out here, Slappy! I haven't got all night!" Here comes Haas and it's time for the match.
JEFF JARRETT versus CHARLIE HAAS
Charlie starts off strong as he takes down Jarrett with a front facelock and goes after the neck of Jarrett with a neckbreaker and several clubbing blows. Jarrett fights back with a suplex and locks in the chinlock. Haas uses the elbows to escape and plants Jeff with a picture-perfect dropkick for two. Haas continues the assault with a backdrop and clothesline. Haas goes for the inverted DDT, but Jarrett manages to block it and catches Haas with a rip the eyes. Clothesline by Jarrett and a slam. Jarrett goes for the stroke, but Haas manages to escape and kick Jarrett in the guts. Inverted DDT by Charlie and he covers for the pin, but we see Jeff get a foot on the ropes. Haas with a big slam on Jeff and he goes for the Haas of Pain, but here is Scotty Steiner from out of the crowd. Jarrett grabs the referee, Russ Cherico, to keep him occupied, and Steiner levels Haas with a chair shot from the outside of the ring. Jeff quickly moves and applies the stroke to get the pin.
Winner: JEFF JARRETT
Steiner and Jarrett are both in the ring now and Scott signals that he's going to put Charlie in the Steiner Recliner, but here comes Arn Anderson, Sean O'Haire and C.W. Anderson from the dressing rooms and Scotty & Jarrett decide to beat a hasty retreat. The Horsemen aid Haas as Jarrett & Steiner flee to the back.

We go backstage and Eric Bischoff is on the phone. There's a knock at the door and it's Brock Lesnar & Sable. Brock tells Eric that he's tired of dragging his heels here in WCW. He deserves to be in the main event and contending for the World Championship. So he has an offer for Eric. At the Bash at the Beach, Brock will take care of Hulk Hogan for him. But in return, he wants a chance to wrestle for the WCW World Championship. He wants a title shot. Eric smiles and tells Brock that he likes that idea. So at the PPV, it's Brock Lesnar versus Hulk Hogan. It's a deal. Eric and Brock shake hands as Sable looks on
.
Back to the ring and David Penzer who makes the introductions for the mixed tag team match.
APRIL HUNTER & BUFF BAGWELL versus IVORY & JUVENTUD GUERRERA
Buff & Juvi start things off and it's all Juvi as he unloads on Buff with a series of fists, followed by a hurracarrana and a dropkick. Buff tries to slow things down, but gets nailed with an enzaguri for two. Buff kicks out and quickly tags in April Hunter. It's April and Ivory now as the ladies trade takedowns and armlocks. Slam by Hunter, but Ivory kicks her leg out from under her and locks in a chinlock. More action as Ivory leapfrogs a backdrop attempt by Hunter and catches her with a neckbreaker for two. Buff breaks it up before the referee can count three. Juvi is in and goes after Buff and we have all four in the ring as the referee loses control. The referee is putting Juvi back on the outside as Ivory rolls up Hunter in a small-package. Buff is over to turn them over so Hunter is on top as the referee turns around. The ref counts three as he counts Ivory's shoulders to the mat.
Winners: BUFF BAGWELL & APRIL HUNTER

We go backstage and Terri Runnels is with Cactus Jack. Tonight is his chance to become the WCW World Champion as he faces Sean O'Haire. What are his thoughts? Cactus smiles and says that he's been a champion before, but never the WCW Champion. People look at him and see a lovable old muppet, or else they see a crazy lunatic. But they forget he's stood toe to toe with dead men. He's been to the extreme and back several times. And he's tasted gold. He likes that taste. O'Haire is a good kid. He's a big guy with a big future. But can he handle pain? Can he handle blood? Can he handle a tooth being knocked up through his nose? Can he beat the sock? Cactus doesn't think so? It only takes three seconds and it's all over. He thinks O'Haire might be underestimating him. And that's OK. Keep on underestimating, because that is all the advantage Cactus needs to sneak in there and bring home the gold. Bang - Bang!
We see a video promo air for "WCW Bash At The Beach" coming this Sunday, June 11th, from Huntington Beach , CA.
We now cut to Bob Caudle who is standing by with WCW World Champion Sean O'Haire and C.W. Anderson, of the Horsemen. O'Haire says that if Cactus Jack thinks that Sean Is underestimating him, he's way wrong. O'Haire knows all that Mick Foley has accomplished in his career. He knows that Foley is crazy and calculating and dangerous. But Foley will learn, just like everyone else has, that O'Haire is the WCW Champion for a reason. He earned it by beating up the best wrestlers in the world. He might not be a legend, yet, but he's a Horseman and that's just that much better. As for tonight, O'Haire is prepared to bleed and go to the extreme if that's what it takes. He's keeping that title - end of story! Terri asks him about his mystery opponent for the PPV. Sean says that Eric can bring in anyone he wants. The end results will be the same. Sean O'Haire will remain the World Champion.
C.W. Anderson is next up and he has a challenge to make. He's been looking for a chance to make an impact and he's found it. When Scott Steiner decided to stick his nose in Horseman business earlier tonight during the Haas - Jarrett match, he sealed his fate. At the Bash at the Beach, it's going to be C.W. Anderson versus Scott Steiner. And like Arn said earlier about Jarrett, C.W. can only repeat here. Payback is a bitch!
As C.W. and O'Haire finish talking, Arn walks up and he wants to introduce them to someone. The camera pans over and it's Dawn Marie! Arn says that this will be their equalizer and things like what happened to Haas earlier will not happen again!
We go now and see the Elementals - Soce, Rico, Tank Abbott, Hugh Morrus & Puder headed towards the ring. Puder is wearing his new t-shirt that Soce gave him earlier. It's Rico versus Marty Jannetty for the TV title and it's next!
(commercial)
As the Elementals get into the ring, the referee tells something to ring announcer David Penzer who informs the audience that, per the orders of Eric Bischoff, all of the Elementals are banned from ringside during this match. Soce & his wrestlers argue, but the referee orders them to the back and slowly, they are forced to leave the ring and leave Rico alone.
WCW WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
MARTY JANNETTY (c) versus RICO
Rico takes the early advantage with several kicks and a big suplex for two. Jannetty avoids a backdrop and slams Rico to the mat with a facebuster. Slam by Marty asnd he goes for a big flying elbow, but Rico manages to move out of the way. Jannetty crash and burns. Rico covers for two. Rico stays on Jannetty with several fists and more kicks. Suplex by Rico for two. Rico decides to flaunt a bit and play to the crowd as he climbs up on the top rope. Moonsault by Rico, but he's taken too long as Jannetty moves and no one is home. Big legdrop by Jannetty and he covers to get the pin.
Winner: MARTY JANNETTY
Here comes Daniel Puder and Soce from out of the back. As Soce directs traffic, we see Puder go for the Kimura (or keylock) and lock it in on Jannetty. Rico is back up and kicks away at Jannetty. We see Jannetty tapping, but Puder refuses to break the hold. Finally, he releases the keylock and, along with Rico, kicks Jannetty to the floor. Marty is holding his arm as the referee helps him to the back. Puder gets the mic. First he put out Goldberg! Now it's Jannetty! Who's next? Soce gets the mic next! He has an announcement! At the PPV, Bash at the Beach, Puder has an open challenge to anyone who wants to get in the ring with him! It won't be Goldberg! He's hurt! It won't be Jannetty! He's gone! Rico speaks and says, "Maybe it will be Kurt?" Soce, Puder & Rico all look at each other and laugh at that! Puder is back with the mic. "It doesn't matter who it is! They mess with my manager, Soce... or me.. and they're going to the hospital!" Soce clarifies that any wrestler or fighter from any company is welcome - just show up and take the "Puder Challenge".. Find out if you're tough enough! Puder, Soce and Rico congratulate each other and are all smiles as they leave the ring!
(commercial)
The announcers talk about and run down the matches for the PPV on Sunday night. It's WCW Bash at the Beach coming up on June 11, 2006 from Huntington Beach, CA. Now it's time for the main event. Time for Penzer.
WCW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
SEAN O'HAIRE (c) versus CACTUS JACK
SEAN O'HAIRE (c) versus CACTUS JACK
We see Cactus start off strong as he uses a series of knees to get the advantage on O'Haire. A big slam and he ties O'Haire to the Tree of Woe. Big elbow for two. Sean fights back with elbows and fists and a hotshot as he drops Cactus across the top rope. Another slam and O'Haire starts to climb up top, but we see Cactus roll to the floor. O'Haire dives off the top rope with a suicide dive on Cactus on to the floor! Big "holy shit" chant from the crowd. Both men are down as the referee, Tommy Young, begins his count. Cactus breaks the count by rolling into the ring at nine and then rolling back out to go after Sean. He attempts to run O'Haire into the ringpost, but Sean reverses and sends Cactus flying into the ring steps. Sean rolls Cactus into the rng and covers for two. Cactus reverses a whip into the ropes and attempts a backdrop, but O'Haire leapfrogs Cactus and then nails him with a superkick. Sean goes up and flies with a swanton that connects. Cover and pin.
Winner and still champion: SEAN O'HAIRE.
As O'Haire raises his arm in victory, we see Eric Bischoff come out on the ramp to interupt things. He has a big announcement for Sean and the fans. At the Bash at the Beach PPV this Sunday, the man who will be facing Sean for the WCW World Championship is.....
Music hits" and these words echo in the arena, "Can you dig it.... sucka!" The crowd erupts in cheers as Booker T & Sharmell come out of the back and on to the ramp. O'Haire looks shocked as he sees the former five time champion standing there beside Eric Bischoff. We get a close up of Booker as we fade to black.
The end!
