WCW Monday Nitro
July 17, 2006
Florence, SC
Civic Center
Pyro and explosions open the show as Tony Schiavone, "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko and "Kona Crush" Brian Adams are at ringside. It's another big show with a huge main event. WCW Owner Eric Bischoff has signed the WCW World Champion, Sean O'Haire to a title defense against Booker T w/ Sharmell. Plus WCW Cruiserweight Champion Juventud Guerrera is facing Colt Cabana and the WCW TV Champion RIco will be defending against the challenge of Barry Windham..
The crowd erupts again as we see Adam Copeland and Amy Dumas once more making their way to seats at ringside. Schiavone mentions that Copeland & Dumas were spotted late last week at the WCW Offices in Atlanta, GA and rumors are rampant that the two controversial figures may have reached an agreement with WCW. Hopefully, they'll have more on that later...
Music hits and here comes The Disco Inferno and Ernest "The Cat" Miller to the ring. Disco gets the mic. Last week on Nitro, he and Miller were having a little dancing contest and Disco was out-performing and out-dancing the Cat... Ernest interupts, "Disco was making a fool of himself - The Cat was on fire and won"... Disco says, "Whatever!"... Anyhow, The Heart Throbs decided to take it upon themselves to come down and interupt. Miller grabs the mic again and tells Disco to quit rambling. "Somebody call my mama... Antonio & Romeo - get your asses down here - me and Disco Duck gonna beat somebody up!"
More music hits and here comes Antonio & Romeo, complete with the boas and dancing as they come to the ring. Antonio gets on the mic... The Heart Throbs are in a good mood. They just got back from a big concert by Soce, and partied with all the A-list celebrities such as Paris Hilton, J-Lo and even Madonna... Everyone wanted to be seen with the Heart Throbs. Romeo gets on the mic and assures the crowd that even though hewas hanging out with Paris, no videos were made and the Heart Throb fans don't have to worry about any crazy sex-video scandals anytime popping up in the tabloids. Antonio asks, "What about the Playmates and that time in New York?" Romeo shrugs and says, "I'll tell you about that later.... it's hot!"
Miller and Disco are just watching and Miller gets on the mic again.... "Will you two fools just shut the hell up! Me and Disco gonna kick your asses!" Referee Hage Patel is in the ring and calls for the bell.
ANTONIO & ROMEO - THE HEART THROBS versus DISCO INFERNO & ERNEST "THE CAT" MILLER
Fast paced action as Disco & Miller miss a few signals and the Heart Throbs take the early advantage over Disco with some double-teaming and working on the back. Disco manages to counter a suplex attempt into a flapjack and Romeo smacks the mat hard. Disco hot-tags Miller who unloads some wicked kicks and karate thrusts on both Heart Throbs. The numbers take over though and it's all Throbs again as they manage to get the double-team in their corner. Miller reverses a whip into the ropes and Disco whallops Antonio from the outside with his duck. Miller catches the stunned Antonio with a thrust kick and covers to get the pin.
Winners: DISCO INFERNO & ERNEST "THE CAT" MILLER
Disco and Miller celebrate in the ring by dancing as Antonio & Romeo complain to the referee about Disco using the duck. Referee Patel didn't see it, so the decision stands and Disco & The Cat are the winners.

We go backstage now and see Eric Bischoff and his "son" Nick Hogan... They are still dressed alike and look like Eric and a Mini-Me Bischoff.. We see referee Brent Robinson come up and tell Eric he has an important phone call. Eric says he's busy and wants to know who it is.. Robinson looks at Hogan and whispers something in Eric's ear. Eric's mouth sort of drops and he tells Nick that he has to take this call - it's very important and tells Nick to go find "The Giant" for him.... Nick takes off to go find the Giant and after watching him leave, Eric turns to Robinson.. "Are you sure it's Linda Hogan?" Robinson says he's sure... and she sounds pissed off. Eric sighs and goes to take the phone call.
We go back now to the ring and it's set up for an edition of "Blackjack's BBQ"... Blackjack Mulligan is in the ring with the mic in hand. His guests are two people who have created a lot of controversy over the past few months in WCW.... One is coming off a big win at the recent "Beach Blast" PPV where he destroyed his opponent, Gangrel... and the other didn't do quite so well as she pretty much had her tail handed to her by Luna Vachon... please welcome Brock Lesnar and Sable...
Brock and Sable come to the ring. Sable talks first.. It's true that she didn't do so well in the Diva Street Fight against Luna at the PPV. But it's not her fault. Luna is not a person - she's a savage and an animal. No sane person can compete against a deranged lunatic. But Sable says that she's getting her's back.... Later tonight, Eric Bischoff has signed a "Diva Lumberjack Match" between herself and that crazy bitch... and with the lumberjacks at ringside, Luna will not be able to run, hide or cheat.. and Sable vows to kick her ass...
Brock speaks next. He destroyed Gangrel in the "First Blood Match" and ripped the vampire's head open. He should be wrestling for the WCW World Championship, but instead, he got screwed over by Eric Bischoff and forced to wrestle "The Giant" last week on Thunder. That's not fair and not right. Brock wants.. no, he demands a title shot against Sean O'Haire.. He's "The Next Bg Thing" for WCW and he's tired of playing the games.
Here comes Nick Hogan and "The Giant", along with Joel Gertner. Nick has the mic. Right now, his "dad", Eric Bischoff is currently on the phone with someone, but Nick heard what Brock was saying and he knows that his "dad" wouldn't mind if he took care of this situation. Eric said that if Brock lost to The Giant, no more title shots. But Nick agrees that Brock deserves another chance, so next week, on Nitro - it'll be Brock Lesnar versus "The Giant" Paul Wight in a .. Nick hesitates and Gertner whispers something into his ear.. We see Nick smile and he continues.. "Next week on Nitro - it's Brock Lesnar versus "The Giant"... and Gangrel in a handicap match... and if Brock wins, he will be considered for another title shot at some time in the future.
Brock says that he doesn't care who he has to wrestle or beat - just sign the contracts and it's on. Brock is ready to do it right now. Wight whispers something else to Nick, who smiles and says that Brock can wait until next week - he has other things to worry about right now. Brock wants to know what Nick is talking about and suddenly, from the top of the arena comes a big drenching of blood, covering Brock, Sable and the ring. It's a "bloodbath" for Brock and Sable.... Here comes Gangrel from out of the crowd and he attacks Brock from behind, pounding away the blood-soaked wrestler with fists and kicks. Sable is there to attempt to pull Gangrel off of Brock, but The Giant and Joel Gertner have entered the ring at this point and Gertner grabs Sable and holds her while The Giant picks up the body of Brock and chokeslams him to the blood-stained mat as Gangrel watches and smiles in approval. Gertner releases Sable who runs to cover her man as Giant and Gangrel raise their arms in victory and smile as we go to commercial..

We see a video promo - coming on August 6th - it's the next big WCW PPV - ROAD WILD from Sturgis, SD and the Sturgis Bike Rally....
We see a shot of the ring crews attempting to clean up the mess from the bloodbath.
As the camera pans the audience, we see a figure in black with white face paint in the rafters. Schiavone and the announcers speculate that it's Sting and wonder what he's doing here and why hasn't he made his intentions clear by now? As the camera pans the scaffolding again, the figure has vanished.
We go backstage now where Terri Runnels is with the WCW World Television Champion, Rico and his hip-hop manager, Soce the Elemental Wizard. Rico calls himself a fighting champion and says he'll prove it by taking on all comers and beating them like he owns them. Tonight, he's defending his TV title against a former World Champion in Barry Windham. Windham wants to be the TV Champion, but think of how impressive it's going to be when Rico outwrestles and outperforms a former World Champion. It's Rico-Madness at it's best and Rico says that he'll keep his title.
Soce talks next. His tag team champions, Hugh Morrus & Tank Abbott are off tonight - they're in Hollywood hanging out with Jay & Silent Bob... but he wants everyone, and especially Rene Dupree & Rob Conway to know that the WCW World Tag Team Champions will be here Thursday night at Thunder... Dupree & Conway want a title shot - they've got it.. but they need to be careful what they ask for because they might end up getting hurt. As for his other champion, the "World's Most Dangerous Man" Daniel Puder... he's been busy showing the prospective Nitro-girl wannabes just why he is so dangerous. But he'e here tonight and will be going to the ring later...
We cut to Colt Cabana finishing a warm-up.. Colt Cabana versus Juvi is next...

We go to David Penzer
WCW CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
JUVENTUD GUERRERA (c) versus COLT CABANA
WCW Women's Champion, Ivory has come to ringside with Juvi and joins Adams, Zbyszko and Schiavone at the announce position. Ivory puts over how she and Juvi have been hanging out with Colt all weekend and he's a great guy. He's not "The Juice", but he's a good wrestler and fun to be around. Colt and Juvi shake hands as referee Parker Paige calls for the bell. It's fast paced as Juvi and Colt exchange takedowns and armdrags to start. Colt manages to back Juvi into the corner and unloads on him, but Juvi fights back with fists and kicks. Spinning heel kick by Juvi for two. It continues to go back and forth and referee Russ Cherico has a hard time keeping pace with the action. In the end, Colt goes for an inside cradle, but Juvi manages to reverse it and hang on to get the pin.
Winner and still champion: JUVENTUD GUERRERA

We're backstage and Eric Bischoff is confronting Nick Hogan, Joel Gertner and The Giant. He looks mad, but breaks into a smile. That segment with Brock was great and Eric's not even mad that Nick made the match for next week. That shows good initiative. Eric is so proud of his "son"... But they need to talk. Giant and Gertner leave as Eric turns to Nick. Eric just got off the phone with Linda Hogan. She and Brooke are coming to Thunder on Thursday night. They want to see Nick and have their lawyers threatening to sue Eric and WCW if he doesn't allow it. Nick says that it's OK - he loves his Mom and sister and doesn't mind seeing them. He asks if his dad is coming? Eric says that Hulk Hogan isn't welcome at WCW right now and if Hogan shows up, he'll be arrested and put in jail. Nick laughs and hugs Eric.... "thanks, Dad!"..
We go now and Bob Caudle is with Sable. She's still covered in blood from the earlier bloodbath, even though she's tried to clean up a bit. Brock is OK and is with the doctors right now. Her match against Luna is coming up and if Luna and Gangrel this this little stunt is going to stop her and Brock, they're mistaken. Sable says she's pissed off and is ready to kick Luna's tail... and since she's already covered in blood, what's a little bit more, especially if it's Luna's.....

We go now to David Penzer who introduces the "Lumberjacks" for the Diva Lumberjack Match.. As Penzer introduces them, Krissy Vaine, Strawberry Fields, Terri Runnels, April Hunter, Selina "Bambi" Majors, Christy Hemme, WCW Women's Champion Ivory, and WCW Legends Penny Banner & Ann Casey all come to ringside and surround the ring..
DIVA LUMBERJACK MATCH
SABLE versus LUNA VACHON
Both women square off immediately and Luna tosses Sable to the floor. We see Ivory grab Sable and immediately toss her back into the ring where Luna administers a series of stomps and kicks. Sable manages to grab Luna's leg and flip her backwards through the ropes. Luna tumbles to the floor where legends Ann Casey and Penny Banner are quick to toss her back into the ring as well. More back and forth and a running clothesline by Luna sends both her and Sable to the floor. Vaine and Fields grab Luna and Sable gets in a cheap shot. We see Hemme slap Sable and then Hunter grabs her and rolls her back into the ring. Vaine and Fields toss Luna back in as well. Ivory and Hunter are jawing back and forth on the floor and it looks like it might get physical, so referee Brent Robinson rolls to the floor to get between April and Ivory. In the ring, Sable reaches into her tights and tosses powder into the eyes of Luna, effectively blinding her. Sable hits the Sable-Bomb, but the referee is trying to keep Ivory and April Hunter apart on the floor. Hemme is quckly in and delivers a big DDT to Sable. Sable is down and Hemme rolls the blinded Luna on top of the semi-conscious Sable. Selina Majors & Ann Casey grab the referee and roll him into the ring and he makes the three count..
Winner: LUNA VACHON
Vaine and Fields are in the ring to check on Sable. We see Majors and Hemme checkoing on Luna and then it happens.... Ivory clocks April Hunter with a big left and it's on... CAT FIGHT! as all the Divas begin to brawl and fight. The ring fills with WCW officials and security as they break up the brawl... Luna gets her hand raised in voctory as we go to commercial.

We go backstage and see Mike Youngblood drinking a cup of coffee and staring off into space. Soce walks up to Youngblood - and asks if he has a minute. Soce is kind of stammering and wants to ask Youngblood about something. Mike tells Soce that it's cool - what's up? Soce says, "About that kiss the other week..." Youngblood just sort of smirks - "you liked that, huh?" Before Soce can say anything else, Rico walks up. He's been looking for Soce.. they have to go to the ring. Rico's match is up now. Soce tells Youngblood that he'll talk to him later.. "I'll be here!", says Youngblood as Rico leads Soce away..
We go to David Penzer for the next match,
WCW WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
RICO (c) w/ Soce the Elemental Wizard versus BARRY WINDHAM
Rico and Windham are fast paced as Rico controls the start with some arm-drags and well placed martial arts kicks to the chest and shoulder. Windham fights back with punches and clotheslines and a superplex for two, as Rico makes the ropes. It continues back and forth until Windham has Rico set up for the bulldog, but as he goes into the ropes, Soce grabs the leg and momentarily distracts Barry. Rico with the superkick and a handful of tights to get the pin and retain his title.
Winner: RICO w/ Soce the Elemental Wizard

We see another shot of Adam Copeland & Amy Dumas at ringside, holding hands and laughing. Here comes Jeff Hardy to the ring. Jeff gets the mic. For the past few weeks, he's been having to watch Adam & Amy at ringside swapping spit and hang all over each other - don't they know what motel rooms are for? But he's sick of it. The rumors are rampant that Copeland and Dumas have signed a contract with WCW. He wants to know if that's true! Penzer walks around and hands Copeland a microphone.. Adam smirks and says that the rumors are true - as of this past weekend, he and Amy are now official members of the WCW Roster... Jeff says that's good because now, he can legally do what he's wanted to do for the past year and that is beat Adam's ass... Before Jeff can leave the ring and make good on his words, music hits and out on the ramp comes "Above Average" Mike Sanders. Mike slowly walks to the ring and says that Hardy is, as usual, letting his mouth get him into situations he doesn't want to be in. Copeland has already destroyed the career of one man named Hardy and ruined his life... does Jeff really want to be next? It's none of his business, but Sanders thinks that Jeff should tuck his tail back between his legs, and run back crying to Cameron, NC like the little crybaby he is... Jeff turns and attacks Sanders, leaping on to him and pounding away. Edge has moved from his ringside seat and climbed into the ring. As Hardy finishes pounding away at Sanders, he turns around and is nailed by a spear by Adam Copeland. Adam helps up Sanders and the two men begin stomping and kicking away at Jeff Hardy. Krazy K comes from the back with a chair to clear Copeland & Sanders from the ring and help his friend. We see Copeland, Sanders & Dumas smiling as they back up the rampway as we go to commercial..

Daniel Puder and Soce the Elemental Wizard have come down to the ring. Pudr gets the mic. He'll make this short and sweet. He's already put out Eric Angle and Marty Jannetty. He's ended the career of Bill Goldberg. He's the World's Most Dangerous Man and he wants to issue a challenge. He'd like to be wrestling for the WCW World Championship, but the powers-that-be and politics say that's not in the cards right now. So, he's issuing an open-challenge for anyone to step into the ring with him next week on WCW Monday Nitro. Who's going to be a man and step up? Soce remarks that he's been in the dressing rooms and there aren't many real men around here - certainly not in the league of Puder...
Music hits and Eric Angle comes to the rampway. Puder just sighs - hasn't Angle learned his lesson by now? Angle says that if Puder wants a fight, he's got it. As for Soce's comment about not many men in the league of Puder, Eric says that Puder can thank Enzyte for that... Puder starts to leave the ring, but Soce stops him as Angle continues. One more time - it's Angle versus Puder next week on Nitro. And this time, it'll be Daniel Puder who gets carried out...
We go backstage and Bob Caudle is with Booker T & Sharmell. Tonight, Booker is getting another shot at the WCW World Championship. What are his thoughts? Booker says that he's earned this shot and will be the next WCW Champion. Before, he's just been testing O'Haire and feeling him out. But Booker has his number and will be the champ.
WCW World Champion Sean O'Haire and Dawn Marie walk up... Booker has just been "testing" O'Haire? More like getting his tail kicked. Sean respects Booker, but he's not getting the title away from O'Haire.. not now - not ever! Booker says that we'll see about that in the ring.O'Haire says fine.. lets do it. O'Haire and Booker go nose to nose as we go to a commercial. The WCW World Championship Match is up next.

In the end, Booker goes for a sunset flip. but O'Haire mananges to sit down and hook the legs long enough for referee Tommy Young to count three.

We cut to the back and see The Horsemen, Charlie Haas, C.W. Anderson, Woman & Tully Blancard watching the moniter. After watching O'Haire retain his title, C.W. and Haas leave to go congratulate O'Haire and Dawn. Tully and Woman are talking and all of a sudden, from out of nowhere, a guitar comes crashing down across the head of Blancard. It's Jeff Jarrett with an ambush attack. As Woman crouches to check on Tully, Jarrett tells her to tell Tully that paybacks are a bitch.... and that's what he gets for pissing Jeff off. He'll see Tully at Thunder. The other Horsemen & Lex Luger come into the scene as Jarrett flees as we fade to black...
