WCW Monday Nitro (June 19, 2006)

WCW Monday Nitro
June 19, 2006
Compaq Center
Houston, TX

Disclaimer: This is not real -it's all a part of my fantasy version of WCW.  For more information, go to www.myspace.com/fantasywcwwrestling

Fireworks and pyro open the show as the capacity crowd is loud and ready to go.  Announcers Tony Schiavone, Lex Luger and Larry Zbyszko at ringside welcome us to WCW Monday Nitro!  Another big show for all of the WCW fans tonight!

Here comes WCW Owner Eric Bichoff to the ring.  He's all business tonight and he carries on his shoulder, the WCW World Television Championship Title belt.  Tonight will begin a 16-man tournament to determine the new WCW World TV Champion.  Four matches tonight - four next week - the quarterfinals the following week, the semi-finals at the Beach Blast PPV- and the finals on the July 10th edition of Nitro immediately after the PPV.  Plus later tonight, WCW World Champion Sean O'Haire will defend the WCW World Championship against Brock Lesnar in the main event.  That's Eric's way of thanking Brock for his utter destruction of Hulk Hogan at the Bash at the Beach PPV a couple of weeks ago.

That brings up another subject.  As readers of the WCW website might know (www.myspace.com/fantasywcwwrestling), Brock's "other half", Sable was involved in a situation with Luna Vachon at a photo shoot last week.  Both Brock and Gangrel also ended up getting involved.  Well, Eric has investigated the matter and.....

Music hits and here comes Sable.  She's all smiles and waves to the fans, grinding a bit before getting the mic.  She wants to know if Eric is going to get rid of that trash, Luna, once and for all.  Eric is not happy at being interupted and tells Sable to be quiet!  Eric continues - he investigated the matter.  Sable and Luna did have a backstage situation.  Words were exchanged and it ended up getting physical with both ladies and their respective others getting involved.  But from every person he's talked to, it seems that Sable was the was who instigated the matter.  So effective immediately, Eric is lifting the suspension that he placed on Luna and Gangrel.  Sable starts to protest, but Eric stops her again.  At Beach Blast, it will be Sable taking on Luna in the first ever "Diva Street Fight".  Sable is mad and up in Eric's face.  It was Luna's fault - she's the troublemaker....etc.  She did what Eric wanted with the Hogan kid,  and now he's making her face a lunatic.  We see Sable haul off and slap Eric across the face..

Eric looks angry, but he starts smiling.  Sable tries it again, but Eric grabs her arm and tells her that's enough.  The only reason Sable isn't fired right now is that Eric likes and respects Brock Lesnar, although what Brock sees in a lying, coniving, manipulative bitch like her is beyond his comprehension.  Eric tells Sable to get out of his ring before he changes his mind and fires her.  Sable is hot and storms out of the ring towards the back as Eric watches, rubbing his jaw as we go to commercial.

We come back and see a replay of Sable slapping Eric across the jaw as Luger and Zbyszko share a big chuckle at ringside.  Time to go to David Penzer for the first match.

WCW WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT - ROUND 1
MIKE YOUNGBLOOD versus BAM BAM BIGELOW

This is the first match of the TV title tournamament.  Bigelow starts off by tossing Youngblood around and slamming him to the mat for two. A whip into the corner, and Bigelow charges in.  Youngblood gets a foot up and stuns Bam Bam.  Sunset flip by Youngblood and he gets two.  Bam Bam clubbers away at Mike and levels him with a clothesline.  Big suplex and Bam Bam goes up to the top for a backflip.  Youngblood moves and Bigelow crashes and burns.  Mike with a cradle and handful of tights to roll up Bigelow as referee Parker Paige makes the count.
Winner:  MIKE YOUNGBLOOD

We go backstage and Eric Bischoff is in his office.  Here is Booker T & Sharmell.  Bokker comments on watching Sable slap Eric and says "that's got to sting, dogg!"  Sharmell gives Eric a little kiss on the cheek to make it better.  Booker tells Eric that he's heard rumors that Hogan is coming to Nitro tonight to get revenge for what they did to him and the kid last week.  Eric says that he's heard the same thing, but they have nothing to worry about.  Hogan is a broken down old man and Nick is a 16-year old kid.  What are they going to do against Booker & Sharmell?  Nothing!  Especially since they also have to deal with ... this!

Paul "The Giant" Wight and Joel Gertner have entered the office.  Wight laughs and says that if Hogan is smart, he'll leave well-enough alone and stay in Miami.  Otherwise, he's going to suffer and pain and hurt of gigantic porportians.  Gertner adds, "And his little son too!"..Everyone shares a laugh as we head to the ring and David Penzer..

WCW WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT - ROUND 1
EVAN KARAGIAS w/ Jimmy Valiant versus COLT CABANA

Karagias starts off with armdrags and a dropkick for a quick two.  Cabana fights back and levels Evasn with a clothesline.  Colt works over Evan in the corner and flattens him with a neckbreaker for two.  Suplex by Cabana, but Valiant reaches in and grabs Colt's foot, causing Cabana to loose balance and come down hard with Karagias on top of him.  Referee Brent Robinson makes the count and Evan gets the pin.
Winner:  EVAN KARAGIAS w/ Jimmy Valiant

We come back and see Sable talking to Brock Lesnar.  She's mad about the match at the PPV with Luna and wants Brock to do something about it!  Luna should have been fired and instead, Sable is getting punished.  She shouldn't have to wrestle that lunatic in a "Street Fight!"  It's not fair!  Brock attempts to console her by telling Sable that she's lucky she wasn't fired.  They need Eric on their side if he's going to get the WCW World Championship.  Besides, she can beat Luna and he'll make sure of that!  Sable protests that it's wrong to make her wrestle - she didn't do anything!  Brock kind of smirks and says that he was there, remember?  Sable is an instigator, but she's his instigator!  Brock gives Sable a hug as we go to the ring.

It's Blackjack Mulligan and he has the ring set up for an edition of "Blackjack's BBQ"..  Blackjack's guest is the former WCW World TV Champion, Marty Jannetty.  Marty is upset about being stripped of the title, but he understands that it was a business decision and Marty vows that he'll get his title back soon enough.  But right now, he's focused on Daniel Puder.  Puder attacked him after the match with Rico for no reason and injured Marty's arm.  Well, Marty knows that Puder is trying to send a message to everyone about how big and bad he is - Mr. Ultimate Fighter. Well, Marty isn't going to be his example.  Marty can't wrestle now, but he's getting better and in three weeks, at Beach Blast, Marty will be 100%.  And he wants Puder.

The sounds of "Hatah" fill the arena and here comes Soce the Elemental Wizard, Daniel Puder, Rico, Hugh Morrus & Tank Abbott - The Elementalz!  They climb into the ring and surround Jannetty.  Soce gets the mic.  "You're talking tough, big boy!  What makes you think you're even going to make it to Beach Blast?  Puder can put you down right here and now!"  Jannetty takes the mic and he doesn't look too worried.  He calls Soce a "poor man's Grand Wizard" and compares Morrus and Abbott to a couple of big trained monkeys.  He'll make it to Beach Blast because he has friends!  Soce just chuckles and asks "What friends?  I don't see any friends!"

Music hits and fireworks explode as Eric Angle comes out and slides into the ring at Jannetty's side.  The Elementalz back up for a second and then we see Rico counting and whispering into Soce's ear.  Soce smiles that big smirky smile and says "There's two of you and five of us... still doesn't look too good for you!"  We see more pyro as a familiar sound fills the arena.  Soce's mouth drops open and he turns pale as we we see Bill Goldberg come charging into the ring.  It all explodes as Goldberg spears Hugh Morrus.  Angle levels Rico with a clothesline and Jannetty throws some wild punches that sends Tank Abbott to the floor.  Just like that, Soce and Puder are all alone in the ring with Marty Jannetty, Eric Angle and Goldberg.  Soce and Puder quickly drop to the mat and roll from the ring to the floor.  Goldberg gets the mic as Jannetty and Angle gather around him.  "Hey Soce!  Hey Puder!  Guess what!  You're Next!"  We see a frightened expression on Soce's face as he wraps himself around Abbott and Morrus in fear as we go to commercial.

(commercial)

We come back and The Elementalz are in the back.  Soce is beside himself with emotion.  Puder tells Soce not to worry.  He has a plan.  At the PPV, WCW Beach Blast, if Goldberg wants him, he's got him... it'll be Goldberg versus Daniel Puder in a MMA match with Ultimate Fighting rules!  And Puder promises that he'll put Goldberg out again.. this time for good!  Soce appears a little calmer, but asks what about Eric Angle and Jannetty?  Rico says that Angle is facing him tonight in the TV title tournament.  He'll put a beating on Angle that he'll never forget!  And Morrus speaks up as well.  If anything is left of Angle after Rico tonight, me & Tank will handle him and Jannetty at the PPV.  Soce smiles - he knew his team has his back and he feels better.  Soce clarifies - it's Puder destroying Goldberg in a MMA match at the PPV.  Rico will trash Eric Angle tonight and then whatevers left of Angle at the PPV will team with Jannetty to be trashed by Tank and Hugh!  That sounds like a plan!  Soce calls for a group hug and as the five men embrace, we hear Soce mutter, "I love you guys!"

We go back to David Penzer for the next match.

WCW WORLD TV TITLE TOURNAMENT - ROUND 1
"YOUR NEW ADDICTION" KRAZY-K versus VAMPIRO

Great match with lots of high-flying and high impact moves.  Both men manage to get several two counts in the first couple of minutes and we can see referee Russ Cherico gasping for air at the fast pace of this match.  In the end, we see Krazy K attempt a crossbody off the ropes, but he's caught by Vampiro in mid-jump who manages to turn it around into the "Nail in the Coffin".  Cherico counts and Vampiro moves on to the next round.
Winner:  VAMPIRO

A video promo airs - returning to WCW at BEACH BLAST - THE ROCK!

(commerical)

We come back and Terri Runnels is backstage with the WCW Cruiserweight Champion, Jeff Hardy.  Jeff got his shot at the WCW World title last week and gave Sean O'Haire everything he could handle.  Jeff came up a little short, but that's OK.  He proved that he's someone to be reckoned with and he wants to do another match with the champ again real soon.  As for tonight, he's defending the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Juventud Guerrera.  Juvi is a tough guy and pretty crazy - he's one of the best in the world.  But Jeff says that he can be a little wild and crazy himself, so Juvi can bring it on tonight. Jeff Hardy will keep his title and stay champion.

We take a look at video footage from the ending of the Conway/Sanders tag match against Disco/Wright from last week as the referee declared a double-DQ.  Now, it's to David Penzer for the next match.

NO DISQUALIFICATION
DISCO INFERNO & ALEX WRIGHT versus MIKE SANDERS & ROB CONWAY

A big brawl that goes all over the ring, to the floor and out into the crowd as both teams are determined to get that big "W" in their column.  Disco and Alex manage to get the advantage as Disco levels Sanders with his duck on the outside and sends the Above-Average one into lala land.  It's the Boogie Knights with the double-team on Conway in the middle of the ring and it looks as if this match is over, but here comes Rene Dupree from the back with a steel chair.  He crashes it hard across the head of Disco Inferno and then levels Wright as well.  The referee, Parker Paige counts as Conway covers the fallen Disco Inferno.  We see Dupree do the French Tickler in the background as Paige makes the count.
Winners:  MIKE SANDERS & ROB CONWAY

We go out behind the arena and see a limo pulling up.  Arn Anderson, WCW Champion Sean O'Haire, Dawn Marie, C.W. Anderson & Charlie Haas all get out of the limo.  The Horsemen have arrived.  Arn tells someone in the back of the limo to stay there and to come out when they call him.  The Horsemen are headed towards the ring.

We come back and hear the sound of music as The Horsemen come to the ring.  Wearing a neckbrace, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson leads WCW World Champion Sean O'Haire, C.W. Anderson, Charlie Haas & Dawn Marie to the ring as the crowd gives them a standing ovation.  Arn gets on the mic first.  He's not a man to whine or cry.  When he got back into the wrestling after his injuries, he knew that the slightest mistake could end it for him.. just like that!  He took the chance and had a great run.  But when Jarrett decided to use that piledriver on him at Bash At The Beach, that was it!  His neck is injured again and the doctors are telling him that he'll never wrestle again!  He's seen several specialists and they all told him the same thing - it's over for Double-A.  So for the second time in his career, he's calling it quits.  He's retiring from the ring!  He would lying if he said he wasn't upset, but it's not as hard this time.  He knows he still has a future in the business. It's just not as a wrestler.  So Arn says that it's a case of dejavu as he's once again giving someone HIS SPOT in the Horsemen - the role as leader of the Horsemen - Arn wants it to be WCW World Champion Sean O'Haire.   Arn and Sean embrace and O'Haire gets the mic.  He promises to Arn and everyone that ever was a Horseman that he'll do his best to uphold the legacy and legend that is The Horsemen.  He mentions how Arn has been a mentor and big brother to him since he began his career and how he'll miss Arn, not just because of what he offers in the ring, but because of the man he is.  Everyone is all teary as we hear a voice come over the Titantron.

"Boo hoo! Cry me a river, Slappy!" It's Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner.  Jarrett says that Arn needs to be glad he's retiring now so Jarrett won't have to permanantly cripple his wrinkled old ass.  Jarrett continues to talk smack about the Horsemen and Anderson.  Arn interupts him.   "Hey Jeff, why don't you come down here to the ring and talk that crap?  I have a surprise for you!'  Jarrett tells Arn "don't piss me off!" and wants to know what Arn is talking about - "What surprise?"  Arn says that he spoke earlier with Eric Bischoff and since Jarrett & Steiner decided to run away from their match with Charlie Haas & C.W. Anderson last week on Nitro, at the PPV, Beach Blast, there will be a rematch with Jarrett & Steiner taking on C.W. Anderson & Charlie Haas.  But here's the catch.  It will be inside the steel cage.  Jarrett and Steiner don't look impressed!  "Is that it!  A cage match?  Is that all you got, Slappy?"  Arn smirks and continues... "and the special guest referee for this match will be.... come on out guy!"
We see the door to the limo out back open and Tully Blancard gets out!   The crowd erupts as the original Horseman makes his way through the back and to the ring.  Tully enters the ring and hugs Arn before getting the mic.  One Horseman leaves - one more returns!  And Tully is the referee for the cage match at Beach Blast!  No one knows more about enforcing the rules... or breaking them than Tully Blancard.  But Tully promises to be unbiased and fair and gives his word as a Horseman.  Tully, Arn & the rest hold the 4 fingers in the air in a sign of unity as Jarrett and Steiner complain to each other on the big screen and we go to commercial.

We're backstage and se Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner complaining to Eric Bischoff.  How can they wrestle the Horsemen in a cage with a Horseman as the referee.  It's not fair. Eric pacifies them by saying that they can have a special guest referee too for the match.  Scotty and Jeff want to know who their referee will be - Eric says that the next man to walk through his office door will be their referee.  All three men watch the door as we hear a knock.  It's Scott Hall.  Eric tells Jarrett and Steiner that this is their referee for the cage match.  Hall just wants to know what's going on!  Jarrett smiles as he pats Scott on the back and says, "The end of a legacy!"

We go to ringside as WCW Women's Champion Ivory comes to ringside and joins Luger, Zbyszko and Schiavone at the announce position.  She's going to help commentate on the next match.

We go to the ring and David Penzer...

WCW CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
JEFF HARDY (c) versus JUVENTUD GUERRERA

It's fast paced action as Hardy & Juvi prove why they are among the very best in the world.  Several holds and counters and neither man is able to maintain any kind of advantage for more than a few seconds.  A hurracarrana by Juvi sends Hardy flying to the floor on the far side of the ring by the announce position.  We see Ivory get up as Juvi distracts the referee.  Ivory has a chair and slams it across the head of Jeff Hardy while Juiv keeps the referee, Tommy Young, distracted. Ivory rolls Hardy into the ring and Juvi picks up the senseless Hardy and delivers a Juvi-Driver.  Cover and pin as Young makes the count and we have a new Cruiserweight Champion.
Winner and NEW CHAMPION:  JUVENTUD GUERRERA

We're back and Terri Runnels is with Shawn Stasiak and Chris Chetti.  These two young men are going after the World Tag Team Championship titles tonight. Any thoughts!  Chetti talks aboout how he and Stasiak were both getting shafted.  They're young -they're hot - they're so much better than 98% of the wrestlers in WCW, but they kept being ignored by management.  But they decided to get together and pool their talents and they won't ignored anymore.  Stasiak says that Terri knows what kind of stud he can be.  He's Perfect-Shawn!  And together, with Chetti as his partner, the future is theirs!  Because they are that good!  They are truly "Hot Stuff!".  And now, they're going to the ring to win some gold!

Down to Penzer...

WCW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
HUGH MORRUS & TANK ABBOTT (with Soce and Puder) versus "SUPERSTAR" CHRIS CHETTI & "PERFECT-SHAWN" SHAWN STASIAK

Stasiak and Chetti look really hot out there as they control the first few minutes of action with a series of quick tags and using their speed to keep Morrus off track.  Finally, we see Chetti get tripped up by Soce on the outside and distracted.  This was the opening that Morrus needed and he nails Chetti with a running knee.  Tag to Abbott and we see some brutal double-teaming in the corner.  Abbott continues the beating and finally puts Chetti away with a running powerslam as Morrus nails Stasiak off the apron to the floor. Referee Brent Robinson makes the count.
Winners and still champions:  HUGH MORRUS & TANK ABBOTT w/ Soce & Puder

A video promo airs - coming July 9th on PPV - it's WCW Beach Blast!

The sound of "Real American" fills the arena as Hulk Hogan comes to the ring.  He is accompanied by son Nick Hogan.  Hogan gets the mic.  He's mad!  Over the past two weeks, everyone has been trying to get at him through his son, Nick.  Well, Nick is only sixteen years old, but Hulk says he's more of a man that Booker, Bischoff, Gertner, Giant and the whole lot combined.  Nick interjects that his dad is wrong.  Nick calls Sharmell a "transvestite" and thinks that she might have all of them beat in the "manly department!"  Hogan laughs, but quickly gets serious again.  If anyone touches the kid again, no matter who it is - Hogan will put them out.. period!  Man, woman, Bischoff or transvestite, it doesn't matter!  Hogan will break their freakin' neck!  But here's the deal bro!  Paul Wight wants to mess with Hogan?  Booker T wants a piece of Hogan?  Fine!  Hogan wants both of them in a handicap match next week on Nitro!

Here comes Eric Bischoff to the rampway.  He's surrounded by Booker T & Sharmell, "The Giant" Paul Wight and Joel Gertner.  Eric tells Hogan that he's in no position to demand anything anymore.  But if he wants a match, that's fine!  But Eric isn't heartless.  Hogan hasn't won a singles match in months, so he no-doubt get himself destroyed again next week as well.  So if Hogan can find a partner in the back, next week will be a tag team match as Hogan & his partner face Booker T & The Giant!  Hogan says he doesn't need a partner!  But we see someone stand up.  Lex Luger gets up from the announce position and climbs into the ring.  Lex tells Hulk that if he wants a partner, he's got one in "The Total Package!"  Hogan seems reluctant, but we hear Eric say that it's official - next week on Nitro - Lex Luger & Hulk Hogan versus "The Giant" Paul Wight and Booker T.  Eric tells Luger "Welcome back to the ring - enjoy your return because it ends next week!"  We see Hogan and Luger talking as we fade to commercial.

WCW WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT - ROUND 1
RICO w/ Soce the Elemental Wizard & Daniel Puder versus ERIC ANGLE w/ Marty Jannetty & Bill Goldberg

Rico has the entire Elementalz team with him as he comes out.  Here comes Eric Angle and he has Goldberg and Jannetty with him.  Referee Russ Cherico quickly sends everyone to the back except for Soce, who has a managers license, and calls for the bell.  Angle is all over Rico with takedowns and suplexs. Rico can't seem to get on track and Angle is like a wrestling machine. Finally, Soce jumps up on the ring apron as Angle is too close and reaches over, grabbing Angle and kissing him in the mouth.  Angle is shocked and freezes up, not knowing what to do!  Rico seizes the advantage and uses a martial arts spin kick to nail Eric across the back of the neck.  A cradle by Rico (and a hand full of ropes) and referee Cherico counts the pin.
Winner: RICO w/ Soce & Puder

A video promo airs - Returning to WCW Next Week - Ernest "The Cat" Miller

We go to Lex Luger, Larry Zbyszko and Tony Schiavione at ringside as they discuss all that's gone down in tonight's show.  Four men advanced in the TV title tournament.  Arn Anderson announcing his retirement and making O'Haire the leader of the Horsemen.  Tully Blancard is back!  Goldberg is back!  And Luger getting involved in the Hogan - Bischoff situation. And we still have a WCW World Championship title match to go.

We go to the back and see Chris Chetti and Shawn Stasiak nursing their wounds after their loss to Morrus & Abbott earlier.  We see a figure appear!  It's Christy Hemme.  She thought they looked great out there and wanted to offer some support! They're a great team, but are missing one special ingredient!  "What's that?", Shawn asks?  "Me!", says Hemme!  Stasiak and Chetti look at each other and then at Christy as we cut to commercial.

WCW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
SEAN O'HAIRE (c) w/ Dawn Marie versus BROCK LESNAR w/ Sable

O'Haire and Brock both start off slowly as they try to feel each other out in the beginning. Brock with a takedown, but O'Haire uses an albow to escape.  Brock with a suplex attempt, but Sean blocks it with the leg and delivers a knee to the guts.  Fists begin to fly as both O'Haire and Brock are beginning to get frustrated.  Brock with a big suplex that sends O'Haire to the floor. Sable tries to move in, but Dawn Marie is there to cut her off and Sable wisely backs off.  O'Haire reaches into the ring and pulls Brock out to the floor and the fists resume again.  They get back into the ring and we see Sean score with a big bulldog for two. Brock with a thumb to the eyes and some forearms for two.  It's back and forth.  We see Sable, watching the match from the outside of the ring. Suddenly, a fan from ringside reaches over and grabs Sable by the hair.  That's no fan!  That's Luna.  Sable breaks away and runs - with Luna is hot pursuit!  Brock is distracted and gets caught by a superkick by O'Haire.  Sean quickly goes up top and scores with the swanton to get the pin as referee Tommy Young makes the count.
Winner and still champion:  SEAN O'HAIRE

O'Haire and Dawn Marie go to the floor where O'Haire raises his arms in victory!  Luna and Sable have vanished into the back and Brock is stunned, trying to comprehend what just happened.  Suddenly, here is Gangrel from out of the crowd. He runs past O'Haire and Dawn Marie, sliding into the ring and going immediately after Brock with a vicious attack.  Gangrel lays Brock out and then looks up to the ceiling as a big batch of blood, a bloodbath, drops from the ceiling and covers Brock from head to toe!  We see Gangrel smiling!

Schiavone screams that we're out of time and thanks everyone for watching.  Be here next week on WCW Monday Nitro!

The End!
