WCW Thunder
July 20, 2006
Fayetteville, NC
Crown Coliseum
Pyro explodes as Scott Hudson and Brian Adams welcome the fans to the second edition of WCW Thunder... live from Fayetteville, NC... It's another big night for WCW.
Before Adams & Hudson can continue, here comes wrestling legend and Horseman Tully Blancard to the ring along with Woman. Tully gets a mic. He wants everyone to watch what happened at the end of Nitro on Monday night.
We go to video and see Tully and the other Horsemen watching WCW World Champion Sean O'Haire retain his WCW World Title against Booker T on the moniters in the back. As O'Haire wins, Charlie Haas & C.W. Anderson leave the scene to go congratulate their partner in his victory. Tully is left alone and talking to Woman when from out of nowhere comes Jeff Jarrett and an ambush attack on Tully with the guitar.
Back to live action - Tully is upset and angry. He's known Jarrett for a long time - Jeff's daddy used to work for Tully's father and Tully watched Jeff grow up from a whiney little spoiled brat kid into a whiney spoiled brat of a punk who thinks he's a man. If Jarrett thinks that a sneak attack and ambush is going to get rid of Tully, he's got another thing coming. Tully is a Horseman... one of the original Horsemen.. and he wrote the book on sneak attacks. Jarrett is just a brat who needs get his tail kicked.. and Tully is just the man to do it. Tonight, it's Tully versus Jarrett in the main event of WCW Thunder.... and Jeff is going to learn once and for all the Golden Rule of wrestling... "Don't cross the Horsemen.... ever!"...
Music hits and here comes Jeff Jarrett out to the rampway to respond. He calls Tully a prehistoric dinosaur and says that he needs to be sent back to the retirement home. Jarrett talks about the legacy of the "so called Horsemen".... Ric Flair is an endentured servant to Vince McMahon so he can afford his new trophy wife.... and he's like 80 years old and disgraces himself every time he climbs into the ring. And the other "Horsemen"? Ole was washed up before the group ever began. Arn is crippled with a bad neck, courtesy of Double-J. Benoit is retired now and a cripple. Mongo is fat and works on AM radio in Chicago. JJ Dillon sells used cars and life insurance. There are no Horsemen. Tully is hanging on to a dream that died ten years ago. As for this new group of jackasses, does Tully think that guys like O'Haire, Haas & C.W. Anderson actually give a damn about Tully and the so called "legacy of the 4 Horsemen"... They're just using a name to make money and get a push...They don't give a damn about Tully, Flair, the "good old days" or anything else, but making sure the checks clear the bank.
Tully interupts.. Jarrett thinks he knows it all. He thinks he can come out here and cause friction between Tully and the other Horsemen.
Jarrett says he isn't causing anything. Look at the facts. After Tully dropped the ball at Beach Blast and got pinned in the cage match, where have the others been? The WCW Champion, O'Haire told Tully he was on his own against Jeff... and Tully had to go get Lex Luger, of all people, probably the only idiot more deluded than Tully in longing for the "good old glory days" to be his partner... If Tully needed a partner, where was Charlie Haas? Where was C.W. Anderson? Where was the World Champion. They're hoping that Jarrett will do the wrestling world a favor and wipe out the blemish, the senile old bastard that came from out of nowhere and thinks he's someone because he beat Dusty Rhodes in 1984....
Tully says that Horsemen have been there for him.. and calls C.W. & Haas the future of wrestling. O'Haire is a great WCW Champion and is behind him 100% as well. Tully asked them to step back and let him do things his way, the old fashioned way.. and he asked Luger to be his partner because Lex knows how to get things done. But enough talk... tonight, it's time to put up or shut up... and in the main event, Tully plans to do just that... shut Jeff Jarrett up once and for all. And since Jeff seems a little fiesty toniht anyhow, Tully has an idea. Why not make their match a "No DQ" match?
Jarrett says that that's fine with him and tells Tully that he'd better make sure he's wearing his heavy-duty Depends tonight because Jarrett plans to beat the crap out of him tonight.. because he's just made a big mistake... he's pissed Jeff off...
Music hits and the segment ends as Tully and Jarrett continue jawing back and forth and we go to commercial...

We come back and see a replay of what just happened earlier. Adams and Hudson talk about the bad blood between the Horsemen and Jeff Jarrett and Adams wonders if some of what Jarrett claims might be correct about Tully and his relationships with the other Horsemen. They then switch gears and we see a video package talking about the relationship as of late between "The Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant and one of the men he's been advising, Evan Karagias. We see in the video, several examples of Valiant cheating on Karagias's behalf to hep obtain a victory... and we also see a few examples of when Valiant wasn't there or his interference backfired. Hudson says that Evan asked for some time and a match against his advisor, Jimmy Valiant.. and WCW Owner Eric Bischoff agreed.
It's time now to go to the ring for our opening bout. RIng announcer Gary Michael Cappetta makes the introductions...
EVAN KARAGIAS versus "THE BOOGIE WOOGIE MAN" JIMMY VALIANT
After both men have entered the ring, Evan gets the mic. He has truly enjoyed having Jimmy Valiant in his corner since coming back to WCW. Evan says that's he's learned so much from Jimmy and considers Valiant one of the all-time greats in professional wrestling. But lately, Evan feels that he needs to be his own man and break the ties, so to speak. He doesn't need a manager anymore. Valiant responds by saying that Evan is right... he doesn't need the Boogie Man as his manager. Evan is a great wrestler and has a great career ahead of him. Valiant offers a handshake as he wishes Evan good luck. The two men shake hands and then hug..
And Valiant knees Evan hard in the gut. Evan is wide-eyed and in pain as he goes to the mat. Valiant tells referee Hage Patel to ring the bell and levels Karagias with a big left. The match is on. Valiant kicks and stomps away at Evan. Evan tries to fight back, but we see Jimmy rip at the eyes and toss Karagias to the floor. Valiant is hollering about how he carried Karagias and was making him a star and Evan wants to stab him in the back... more kicks by Valiant, but Evan is fighting back with chops and fists. Another rip at the eyes by Valiant and he tries to put Evan into the post but Evan reverses and Valiant hits the post. Evan is all over Valiant with fists and punches. He rolls Valiant back into the ring and covers for two. Dropkick by Karagias and a big suplex for another two. It's all Evan now and he's dominating the "Boogie Woogie Man"... Suddenly, here comes Ethan Storm and Vampiro from the back and they attack Evan Karagias. Storm and Vampiro beat down Karagias as referee Patel calls for the bell. Valiant is up again now and joins in the attack with fists. Vampiro delivers the "Nail in the Coffin" to Karagias as Valiant and Storm talk trash.
WINNER BY DQ: EVAN KARAGIAS
We see Storm and Vampiro raise Valiant's arm in victory as we cut backstage to WCW Owner Eric Bischoff and his "son" Nick Hogan. Eric is nervous and pacing. Nick tells him to calm down.... it's just his Mom and sister coming tonight to Thunder. Eric says that they're still "Hogans" and that Hulk is up to something... He knows it. Nick tells his "dad" not to worry.. Eric made Hulkamania.. and he destroyed it... and he took everything Hulk Hogan had.. his reputation, his family.. Eric is "the man"... and Nick's proud to call him "Dad".. Eric smiles and says that Nick is right.. he's Eric Bischoff... what can a washed-up old has-been like Hogan do to him? Nick and Eric hug as we go to commercial.

Backstage, we see Mike Youngblood working out.. He turns around and there is Soce the Elemental Wizard standing there. Soce says that he's been trying to get up with Youngblood all week, ever since Nitro. Mike apologizes - he lost his cell phone sometime last Monday night at the Nitro taping. They make a little awkward small talk and Soce wants to know about that kiss from a few weeks ago.. what was that about. Youngblood smiles... he knew that Soce sometimes would use his "charms" to distract wrestlers and give his wrestler the advantage.. and Mike decided to turn the tables. Soce laughs, "But it didn't work, did it?" Youngblood smiles, "No, but it was still fun!".. Soce kind of blushes.. "You liked that?"... Youngblood says that he's a "2006 type of guy"... Before Soce can respond anymore, Hugh Morrus & Tank Abbott come walking up. They need to get ready for their match tonight. Morrus and Abbott pull Soce away as Youngblood watches and says, "See ya!"...
We go to the ring. Here comes Adam Copeland and Amy Dumas to ringside. They walk around and join Scott Hudson and Brian Adams at the announce position. Copeland says that it's time to make it official.... he and Amy are now officially a part of the new WCW. And they plan on making things exciting around here. But first, they have to take care of some personal business.. a problem called Jeff Hardy. They already embarrassed and destroyed his brother up north, but Jeff can't seem to let go of the past. Adam thinks that Jeff has the hots for Amy... just like every other man... but he's frustrated that Edge was able to take her from Matt while Jeff wasn't man enough. He was too busy being a punk loser and couldn't hack life in the real world. Adam & Amy vow to take care of Jeff, just like they did Matt.. when the time comes. And now, they're going to show Hudson how to call a match..
Ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta introduces the next match as we see video tape from Nitro as Mike Sanders comes down and interupts Jeff Hardy as he's exchanging words with Adam Copeland and Amy Dumas at ringside. Sanders ends up attacking Hardy and Copeland gets involved as well with a big spear to Hardy. Sanders and Copeland continue their assault until Krazy K comes down and makes the save, clearing the ring with a chair.
JEFF HARDY versus "ABOVE AVERAGE" MIKE SANDERS
Jeff and Sanders quickly lock up, but Jeff is distracted by the presence of Copeland & Dumas at the announce table and falls victim to a cheap shot by Sanders who quickly plants Hardy in the corner and proceeds to work him over with punches and kicks. Jeff tries to fight back, but Sanders keeps the pressure on and pounds away at the smaller man before using a suplex to get two. Big knee by Sanders for another two. Sanders misses a clothesline and Jeff scores with a Thesz press and some punches for two. Kick by Hardy and a side-slam for another two. Jeff goes to the top, but gets distracted by Adam & Amy and takes too long as Sanders clips the legs and makes Jeff sing a high note. Sanders is all smug as he goes for a superplex, but Jeff hangs on and tucks under as they fall back and ends up with a victory-roll style cradle on Sanders. Referee Tommy Young is there and makes the three count.
WINNER: JEFF HARDY
Copeland is quickly up and tries to get into the ring, but Hardy is too fast and gets to the floor before Copeland can reach him. The ref raises Jeff's arm in victory one more time as Copeland, Dumas & Sanders glare at him from the ring and we go to commercial.

A video promo airs - it's WCW ROAD WILD coming to PPV on August 6, 2006 from the Sturgis Bike Rally in Sturgis, SD...
We go backstage where Terri Runnels is with WCW Divas Sable and Strawberry Fields. They asked for this time, so what's up? Sable admits that she may have made a mistake in trying to fight a crazy woman like Luna Vachon in a Lumberjack Match this past Monday. Sable says that Luna is obviously insane and you can't fight a maniac. But something good did come out of the evening. Sable got the chance to talk to another WCW Diva - Strawberry Fields and realized that there is strength in numbers. So Sable and Strawberry have decided to team up and work together to dominate the WCW Diva's Division. Strawberry says that both she and Sable are beautiful and powerful women that every woman wants to be and every man wishes he could be with. Seperately, they are powerful, but together, they are unstoppable. So they are issuing an open challenge for any two WCW Diva's to face them in the ring on Nitro.. and learn just how dangerous these two women can be. Sable and Strawberry walk off and Terri has the mic. "Just what we need - two bitches with PMS!".. We go back to the ring...
Gary Michael Cappetta makes the introductions for the next match.
MIXED TAG TEAM ACTION
IVORY & JUVENTUD GUERRERA versus APRIL HUNTER & BUFF BAGWELL
Juvi starts off with Buff, but the speed is no match for the power and Buff takes control with a series of slams for two. Juvi manages to duck a clothesline and send Buff reeling with a series of spins and a leg lariat. Juvi has taken control, but we see April get a cheap shot from the outside and grab Juvi by the hair. Juvi rears back to hit Hunter, but stops. Ivory is quickly in and goes around Juvi to catch Hunter with a spear. Juvi goes and knocks Buff to the floor with a dropkick and then connects with a suicide dive through the ropes that lays out both Buff and Juvi. In the ring, April misses a wild punch, and Ivory catches her with a neckbreaker. Bulldog by Ivory and she picks up the pin for her team.
WINNERS: IVORY & JUVENTUD GUERRERA
The camera shows the outside of the arena and a limo pulls up. A door opens and Linda Hogan and her daughter Brooke get out of the car as we go to commercial.

We see Linda and Brooke Hogan being ushered into Eric Bischoff's office, where Eric and Nick Hogan are waiting. Linda and Eric kind of face off and Linda says she wants to see Nick alone. Eric says no, but Nick says, "It's OK... Dad!". Eric tells Nick he'll be right outside and leaves. Linda and Nick kind of stare at each other and Linda wants to know what's going on. Why is Nick with Bischoff? Why did he turn on his father? Nick tells his Mom that she doesn't understand.. Nick had to do it.. to be a man. He asks how Hulk Hogan is doing - and Linda says that "Terry is distracted - he's not eating! He's miserable." Nick apologizes for that, but says that Dad should understand. Brooke asks if Nick is really jealous about her career and her music. Nick says he loves his sister and hopes she does great, but he has to make his mark too... and not just as Hulk's son and Brooke's brother. More small talk and we see Nick hug his Mom and sister. It's time for them to go. Nick has things to do with his "Dad", Eric Bischoff. As Linda and Brooke turn to leave, we see Nick quickly reach over and put something in Brooke's handbag... Linda and Brooke leave and Eric comes in. "How did it go?", Eric asks. Nick says that it went well... Mom and Brooke don't really understand, but it still went OK. Eric looks worried, but Nick takes a playful poke at him and says, "Let's go interview some potential Nitro Girls"... Eric smiles and hugs his "son" as the camera cuts away.
We see Soce the Elemental Wizard and he's backstage in the locker-room, daydreaming and casually flipping a cell phone open and shut. Abbott and Morrus are there. It's time for their match. Is Soce ready? Soce quickly puts away the phone and says, "Let's go!" The Tag Team Titles are on the line... next..

WCW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
HUGH MORRUS & TANK ABBOTT (c) w/ Soce the Elemental Wizard
versus
RENE DUPREE & ROB CONWAY
A hot match with a lot of action as Dupree & Conway use the quick tags to take the advantage over Abbott and work over the brawler in the corner, using wrestling holds to counter Abbott's fighting style. Abbott gets frustrated and Soce talks to him from the outside to make him calm down and keep his temper. Dupree stays in control, but he gets cocky and Abbott nails him with a series of punches before making the tag to Morrus. Hugh comes in and cleans house with clotheslines and slams. Neckbreaker for Conway and Hugh goes up to the top for the moonsault. Conway gets the knees up and Hugh hits hard. Rob tags Dupree who gets in some cheap shots and does the "French Tickler". He moves in for a DDT, but Morrus catches Rene with a jawbreaker and tags in Abbott. Tank with slams and a suplex. Conway is back in and so is Hugh. It's chaos and everyone is fighting. Referee Brent Robinson is quickly losing control. Conway gets a punch in and goes for a neckbreaker, but Soce is up and slaps Rob on the ass from outside the ring... Conway turns around to say something to Soce and Hugh catches him with an inside cradle to get the pin.
WINNERS & STILL CHAMPIONS: HUGH MORRUS & TANK ABBOTT w/ Soce the Elemental Wizard

We see a figure in the rafters as a black trench coat and white face paint is spotted by the cameras and then moves quickly out of sight. Hudson speculates once more that this seems to be Sting, but Adams replies that he's talked to Steve Borden's wife just days ago and Sting has not been at any wrestling events since quitting working up North a few months ago. Adams says that whoever this person is that's been at the recent WCW Events and hiding in the rafters.. it's not Sting. Adams vows to get to the bottom of this mystery and find out what exactly is going on.
Adams & Hudson change subjects and say that a match has now been signed for the Road Wild PPV, coming on August 6th from Sturgis, SD. Based on events from Nitro and earlier tonight, it will be Adam Copeland making his WCW PPV debut as he takes on Jeff Hardy. Also, just signed tonight for the Road Wild PPV, it will be a "New York City Street Fight" as the "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant takes on his former protege, Evan Karagias.
Now we go to Gary Michael Cappetta for the introductions for the Main Event on WCW Thunder....
TULLY BLANCARD w/ Woman versus JEFF JARRETT
Tully and Jeff exchange words to start and are nose to nose. Fists by Jarrett and then by Tully... it's on and it's a brawl. Tully is getting the advantage with Jarrett backed in the ropes, but as the referee, Parker Paige tries to break them up, Jarrett scores with a low kick. Tully is down and Jeff is in control. Neckbreaker and a slam for two. Jeff is getting cocky and slaps Tully a few times, but Tully is getting mad now and grabs Jeff by the hair and inloads with several punches to the head. Jeff and Tully are slugging it out and the referee is trying to seperate the two men when he gets caught by a wild elbow. Referee Paige is down. Here comes Scott Steiner from out of the back and he nails Tully from behind. Jarrett and Steiner are double-teaming Tully. We take a look at the backstage area and see the other Horsemen, Sean O'Haire, Dawn Marie, Charlie Haas & C.W. Anderson watching on the moniter. C.W. and Charlie start to head towards the ring, but O'Haire stops them. This is Tully's fight.
In the ring, Steiner is holding Tully while Jeff winds up the guitar. Here comes Lex Luger and he nails Jarrett,, knocking the guitar to the mat. Steiner and Lex start brawling and Jeff goes after Lex too. Tully is on the mat and trying to pull himself up. The referee is still down too. Here comes Barry Windham from out of the back and he tells Jarrett and Steiner to hold Tully and Lex - he wants a shot at them too. Jeff and Steiner hold Tully & Lex as Barry winds up with the guitar that he's picked up off the mat and crashes it hard across the head of Jeff Jarrett. Lex turns and nails Steiner, sending Scotty to the floor. Lex goes after Steiner while Tully covers the fallen Jarrett. Windham goes and picks up the referee, dragging him into position and yelling at him to count. Referee Paige counts three and calls for the bell.
WINNER: TULLY BLANCARD
Windham and Tully toss Jarrett to the floor next to Scott Steiner. Lex joins Blancard and Windham in the ring. Woman joins them as well. We see the three men and their manager hug and all four raise 4 fingers in the air. We see a clip backstage and see WCW World Champion Sean O'Haire and the other new "Horsemen" watching on the moniter. O'Haire doesn't look happy, but forces a smile and tells the other Horsemen that Tully had it all under control. We get a close up look of O'Haire's serious expression as the screen fades black....
THE END!
