WCW Monday Nitro (April 17, 2006)

World Championship Wrestling
April 17, 2006
Hartford, CT
Civic Center

Disclaimer:  It's not real - it's just wishful thinking on the way things SHOULD be...

We see video from last week and the WCW title match between Champion Sean O'Haire and then-challenger Harley Race.  We see Race take O'Haire over in a belly-to-back suplex.  Both men's shoulders are down as the referee counts and at the last second, we see Race jerk his shoulder up.  O'Haire's are still down and he's pinned.  We have a new WCW World Champion - it's former Commissioner all-time wrestling great Harley Race..

Music sounds and we have balloons and confetti fall from the ceiling as the new WCW World Champion Harley Race comes to the ring.  Harley gets the mic.  Everyone thought he was too old - hell, he thought he was too old.  He started back with this company as a Commissioner and then was reluctantly put back on the roster as a wrestler.  He made a challenge to Sean O'Haire last week, more to prove to teach O'Haire a little lesson in respect than anything else.  But he gave 100% and it came down to experience.  He's been in that position before and knew what to do. O'Haire is a damn good wrestler, but he's still a little green sometimes, and it just worked out in Harley's favor.  And now, he's the new World Champion - for the ninth time in his career.  He didn't expect this and doesn't know how long it will last, but he's going to enjoy this moment as long as he can.  And anyone that knows Harley Race knows that Harley is a tough S.O.B. in the ring.  The belt is his and he's going to do whatever it takes to keep it.  So bring on the challengers. He's ready to fight and anyone who wants his title better be ready to fight because that's what it's going to take.

We hear music and here comes Jeff Jarrett out on to the rampway.  He tells Race to quit boring the fans and "quit putting everyone to sleep, old man!"  Last week, Jeff Jarrett beat the great Hulk Hogan.  Jarrett is "the Chosen One" and the man with all the stroke in WCW.  Race had better have enjoyed this past week with the WCW title because he's going to lose the belt tonight.  Jarrett vows to put the dinosaur out to pasture and back into extinction where he belongs.

Race just smirks and asks if Jarrett knows how many times he's heard someone say that they're going to "put the old man out of commission".  And so far, he's still standing.  Jarrett is a smart ass punk.  Race remembers when Jarrett was a baby in diapers.  He would run around smelling like crap and whining and crying.  It's good to see some things never change.  Race is the World Champion.... and Jarrett still runs around crying and whining and he still stinks!

Jarrett calls Race "Slappy Oldawitz" and threatens to come to the ring to kick his ass right now.  Race tells Jarrett to "bring it!"...

Here comes WCW Owner Eric Bischoff.  They're not going to fight right now.  They will wrestle in the main event later tonight!  But Eric has a big announcement.  He tells Jarrett and Race to go get ready for their match later.  Jarrett & Race leave and head towards the back.

Eric is alone in the ring.  He wants to announce something big. He just finished the paperwork and at the next big WCW PPV - Spring Stampede, coming up on May 7th from Panama City, Florida... one of the biggest stars in WCW history makes his return to a WCW ring.  Eric is talking about... Bill Goldberg!  Eric hasn't decided who Goldberg's opponent will be yet, but the man is back in WCW and he will be wrestling at the PPV.  And even more great news. The ratings, since he took over WCW, have been phenomenal and through the roof.  So while he can't make an official announcement as of yet, there are talks taking place for the return of another old WCW phenomena called "Clash of the Champions".  He'll have more news on that in the weeks to come, but he hopes that "my good friend Vince, is paying attention!"   Eric is all smiles as we go to commercial.

We go to Tony Schiavone, Dutch Mantell and Mark Madden at ringside.  They welcome us to the show and talk briefly about the upcoming return of Bill Goldberg to WCW.  They also plug the main event for later tonight as Harley Race defends the WCW World Championship against the challenge of "The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett.

Cue David Penzer who makes the introductions for the opening match.

JEFF HARDY & THE DISCO INFERNO versus MIKE YOUNGBLOOD & ETHAN STORM

Mantell explains that Youngblood and Storm are two up-and -coming superstars who are big names in the Indy world and have come to WCW to make a name for themselves.  Youngblood starts off with Hardy and quickly unloads a series of brutal chops before tagging to Storm.  Lots of quick tags and double-teams as Youngblood and Storm work over Hardy in their corner.  Jeff fights back and hot-shots Storm off the top-rope.  Disco tags in and begins to clean house with clotheslines and punches.  A big neckbreaker by Disco, but Youngblood breaks up the count before Disco can get the three on Storm.  Hardy is in and he sends Youngblood to the floor with a running clothesline.  Hardy follows with a suicide dive over the top rope on top of Youngblood.  Storm attempts a backdrop, but Disco manages to hit a big neckbreaker.  Chartbuster by Disco and he covers Storm to make the pin.
Winners:  DISCO INFERNO & JEFF HARDY

We see a video promo - coming soon to WCW - It's your new addiction "Krazy K"

We see video from last week  as Cactus Jack, on a rampage backstage, attacks a trio of wrestlers consisting of Mike Youngblood, Ethan Storm and Colt Cabana demanding to know if they were the ones who ambushed he and Barry Windham in the dressing rooms before their scheduled match at Slamboree...

We return to live TV as Colt Cabana greets Storm and Youngblood as they make their way backstage after losing to Jeff Hardy & Disco.  Here is Cactus Jack!  But he's calm and sedate and offers an apology for the attack on them last week.  He was upset and trying to figure out who ambushed him and Windham.  But he knows that it wasn't them.  So, he's sorry!  Now he has to go get ready for the match tonight against Windham.  Cactus slaps Youngblood on the back and walks off as Storm, Youngblood and Cabana all look at each other in confusion.

We go to Terri Runnels who is standing by with former WCW World Champion Sean O'Haire, along with Arn Anderson & Woman.  O'Haire admits that he underestimated Harley Race last week and it ended up costing him and the Horsemen the World Championship.  He apologizes to Arn for letting the Horsemen down.  Arn isn't upset though.  He talks about getting knocked down and getting back up and giving it back twice as hard - somethng the Horsemen are notorious for.  Sean has a rematch clause and he'll get the WCW World Championship back.  Arn is confident of that.

As for Arn and Charlie Haas - the remaining Horsemen, they have a mission.  To become the WCW World Tag Team Champions.  Arn also mentions that he'd like to hold that WCW World TV title currently held by Scott Hall one more time.  Terri asks where Charlie and Miss Jackie are.  Arn says that they're taking care of Horseman business and that's all she needs to know.  Right now, everyone is quick to count the Horsemen down and out.  But they'll soon learn to their own regret that the Horsemen are never down and out.  And there's a reason why this (Arn raises 4 fingers in the air) is the symbol of excellence.  And now, this interview is over.

Arn, Woman, and Sean start to walk off, but are stopped by the presence of DDP, Kanyon and Bigelow.  They want to know what the deal was with Arn last week?

We cut to video footage of The Triad storming the ring after Kronik managed to beat the Horsemen and tossing Charlie Haas from the ring before going after Kronik,  Arn comes in from the outside witha chair and runs off the Triad before nailing Clark with the chair and planting Adams with a DDT.

"So what's the deal, bro?", asks DDP.  Arn says that The Triad picked their spot and attacked Kronik.  That's OK, but they did it on the Horsemen's time and Arn was just setting things right.  And if The Triad has a problem with that, the Horsemen will be happy to settle it!  Arn and DDP go nose to nose and we see O'Haire bow up a bit in the background behind Arn.  Page just smiles and says that he can respect that!  "No hard feelings, bro!  It's cool!"  Page and the Triad walk off as Arn and O'Haire seem ready to go.  We cut to the ring.

"Above Average" Mike Sanders is in the ring.  He's tired of seeing all these so-called "Legends" running around WCW.  They have the locker-rooms reeking of "old" and they keep forgetting to change their Depends!  He's tired of these has-beens trying to come to WCW and steal his spotlight and his glory.

Here comes big Blackjack Mulligan out on the ramp.  He tells Sanders to shut his mouth and show a little respect.  Sanders tells Mulligan that he needs to go back to the farm before Sanders kicks his tail just like he did those other legends last week.

Blackjack just laughs!  He thought he saw Sanders get his tail whooped last week.  BJM asks the producers to run the footage.  We see footage from last week as Sanders is beaten down and humiliated by the WCW HOF Legends before being tossed from the ring.

Sanders is fuming.  He says that the video was rigged.  They ganged up on him.  He was so overcome by the smell of dentures and geritol that he couldn't think straight!  Just excuse after excuse flows from Sander's mouth.  Finally, he just tells Mulligan to bring his old wrinkled ass to the ring. BJM heads to the ring.  We get a referee and the bell rings as we go to a commercial.

BLACKJACK MULLIGAN versus "ABOVE AVERAGE" MIKE SANDERS

We join the match in progress as Sanders has BJM trapped in the corner and is pounding away at him.  BJM is getting mad though and we see the eyes start to bulge as Mulligan uses a stiff boot to the face to level Sanders.  More still punches by BJM and a big suplex.  BJM covers for two.  Sanders goes to the eyes and plants a knee in the stomach of Mulligan.  More kicks and punches and a big DDT by Sanders.  Rather than cover, Sanders goes to the corner and gets Mulligan's cowboy hat and puts it on his head.  He starts to strut around like a big shot and pulls up Mulligan for a big punch.  BJM blocks and levels Sanders with a huge roundhouse of a left.  A whip into the ropes and BJM catches Sanders in the claw.  Sanders struggles, but goes down and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner:  BLACKJACK MULLIGAN

BJM puts his hat back on his head and celebrates as we see a replay.

Cut to backstage.  Rich Landrum is with Barry Windham.  Does Barry have any idea who it was that attacked him and Cactus Jack before their match at Slamboree?  Barry doesn't know.  Jack had barged into his locker room and he was watching Jack.  All he knows is they were big.. and it was more than one person.  Windham says that he'll find out soon enough and there will be hell to pay.  And speaking of hell to pay, tonight, he goes against Cactus Jack in a "Texas Street Fight"...  Jack might be a hardcore legend, but Windham was born and raised in Texas and no one knows more about beating the heck out of someone than he does.  Cactus picked the wrong "good old boy" to mess with this time!  Cactus Jack better be ready for a fight because WIndham plans to give him everything he can handle plus a little bit more.

We come back and see Eric Bischoff in his office.  A knock at the door and it's Luna Vachon.  She wants to talk to Eric.  Eric tries to blow her off, but Luna is insistant.  She has an idea for a match involving herself, Ivory and the WCW Women's Championship at Spring Stampede.  Eric asks what Luna has in mind and we see her whisper in Eric's ear.  A smile forms on Eric's face and he likes what he's heard.

We cut to David Penzer as he introduces the participants for the next match.

TEXAS STREET FIGHT
CACTUS JACK versus BARRY WINDHAM

Cactus attacks Windham before the bell and quickly sends him into the ringpost.  Cactus breaks out the hardware and uses a trashcan to bash Barry across the head.  Cactus charges again with the trashcan and Barry gets a boot up, sending the can back into Jack's face.  Windham goes for plunder and pulls a stop sign out from under the ring and nails Jack with it.  Barry goes hunting again and pulls out a branding iron from under the ring.  He starts to beat away at Jack who seems to be enjoying the pain.  Windham steps too close and Jack nails him with a low blow.  Several kicks to the head and we see Cactus go back outside and pull a ladder out from under the ring.  Cactus puts the ladder in the ring, but gets nailed by a Windham clothesline.  Windham grabs Jack and starts to climb the ladder, pulling Jack up along with him.  He reaches the top rung and drops down off the top with an awesome 12 foot bulldog to the mat.  Barry covers, but somehow, Jack kicks out at two.  Windham goes back to the floor and pulls out a table and sets it up at ringside.  He climbs on the ring apron and prepares to go after Jack again, but gets hit by a brutal spear/suicide dive by Cactus Jack.  Both men go to the floor and crashing through the table.  Jack lands on top of Barry (just barely) and the referee counts three.
Winner:  CACTUS JACK

Medics and ring personel come down to assist Barry and Jack on to stretchers as we go to commercial...

(commercial)

We see video of Windham and Cactus Jack both  being loaded into stretchers and being taken to a nearby medical facility to be checked out.  In the background, we see "Black Nature Boy" Scoot Andrews talking to Colt Cabana, Ethan Storm and Mike Youngblood.  He's taking them to task for accepting Cactus Jack's apology so easily earlier in the night.  Scoot is hot!  Jack attacked him too, for no reason last week.  And maybe they want to be cowards and let Cactus get away with it, but he sure as heck won't.  The The three men are silent as we watch the ambulances carrying Windham and Cactus drive off.  But as the ambulance pulls off, we see a limosine pulling up.

Back to Schiavoine and friends who put over the match we just witnessed between Cactus Jack and Barry Windham.  They also speculate as to who is in the limo that just arrived out back.

Here comes WCW Womens Champion Lisa "Ivory" Moretti to the ring.  She heard that Luna Vachon was trying to get a match signed for Spring Stampede.  Why wait?  Ivory calls for Luna to get out there and they can do it now!

Here comes Rena "Sable" Mero.  The last thing that Ivory needs to worry about is Luna.  She'd better start worrying about Sable instead.  Ivory calls Sable a "dried up old skank bag" and says that her day is coming.  She called out Luna, but she's just as content to beat up Sable as well.  She remembers what Sable did to her at Slamboree and she owes Sable payback for that chairshot.  Sable heads towards the ring, but stops on the outside and trades insults with Ivory who is telling her to get in the ring.

Music hits and here is Luna Vachon.  She thinks it's funny that the girls want to fight without her.  Luna comes to the ring and the three women are all staring at each other.  You can feel the tension.  Luna has talked to Eric Bischoff and at the Spring Stampede PPV, there will be a Triple-Threat match for the WCW Womens Championship.  It's Ivory versus Sable versus Luna.  But that's not the fun part of it.  For the first time ever, the Womens title will be defended in... a ladder match.

Luna smiles as she makes this announcement.  We see Ivory with a shrug and determined look.  Sable looks kind of worried as Luna slides from the ring and heads to the back as we go to a commercial.

(commercial)

We come back and see that during the break, immediately after Luna left the ring, Sable tried to attack Ivory from behind.  But Ivory managed to catch Sable and toss her through the ropes to the floor.  Sable quickly made her way back up the ramp and to the back as she and Ivory continued to dirty-eye each other.

We take another look at the limosine in the back.  There is still no word as to who it is in the limo.

Back to David Penzer for the next match.

WCW WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
SCOTT HALL (c) versus MARTY JANNETTY

We see a quick handshake at he beginning and the match is on as the two men move at a rapid fire pace, trading wrestling moves and counters with both men scoring several quick two-counts in the process.  Eventually, the tempers start to flare and we see both men using fists and chops.  A big fall-away slam by Hall and he scores two.  Hall signals for the Razors Edge and prepares to hoist Janetty high up into the air.  But Marty shifts his weight and comes crashing down on top of Scott with a victory roll.  He hangs on as the referee counts three and we have a new TV Champion.
Winner:  MARTY JANNETTY

Hall just stands there watching with a look of disbelief as the referee raises Jannetty's hand in victory and presents him with the TV title.  Hall approaches Jannetty and puts a hand out.  We see Jannetty and Hall shake hands and briefly hug before Hall rolls to the floor to allow Jannetty his monent of glory as the new WCW World TV Champ.

We go out back and see another shot of the limo as we go to commercial.

(commercial)

We come back and Eric Bischoff is in the ring.  He's all smiles.  Since we're in Hartford, CT - which is only a few miles from the home of the competition, Eric decided to invite his "good friend" Vinnie-Mac to WCW Monday Nitro.  A very distorted, but still recognizable version of "No Chance In Hell" rings out through the arena as we see the door to the limo open and a figure get out.  All we see are the feet as this figure makes his way through the backstage area. and finally out to the arena.

It's a heavily made up Kevin Nash dressed as WWE Owner Vince McMahon that does a very exaggerated power-strut to the ring.  We see Eric Bischoff break up in laughter as Nash/McMahon climbs into the ring.  Eric thanks "Vinnie Mac" for coming to Nitro.  Vince/Nash says that he didn't have anything better to do on a Monday night!  Eric asks "What about your TV programs?"  Vince/Nash replies "As bad as they've sucked lately, do you think I'd really want to be there?"  "Besides Dusty and Slick Ric have it all under control! And of course, the product of my semen, Shane-O-Mac and Steph are there too!"  Eric can barely contain himself as he asks what Vince thinks of the "new WCW"..  Vince/Nash replies "Looks like I'm going to get my ass kicked again!"
Eric replies that it's just "friendly competition" and we see Vince/Nash make some faces and says that if they get beat up too badly, he'll just take his staff aside and tell them two words... "You're Fired"  Eric and Nash both break up as Nash does this impression of McMahon.  Eric and Nash are full of themselves and laughing it up at this parody they just did of Vince McMahon when music hits.

Here comes Sean O'Haire.  They're a bunch of jokers.  Well, he's not about jokes and parodies.  He wants his World Championship back and he's looking to kick someone's ass and Kevin Nash just got elected.  Nash gets very serious and tells O'Haire to just bring it.  Eric scurries from the ring as a referee comes down and calls for the bell.  We have an inpromptu match.

SEAN O'HAIRE versus "BIG SEXY" KEVIN NASH

Nash and Sean are quickly pounding away at each other with stiff fists and kicks.  It's obvious that Nash is being hampered by the street clothes that he's still wearing.  Nash manages to score with a knee and then gets his jacket off and uses it to choke O'Haire.  The referee pulls the jacket away from Nash and tosses it to the outside. As Kevin argues with the referee, he gets nailed by a superkick by O'Haire from out of nowhere.  O'Haire quickly climbs the ropes and flies with a big Swanton, crashing down hard on the fallen Nash.  Sean covers and grabs a handful of pants for extra leverage.  The ref counts three and O'Haire gets the pin.
Winner:  SEAN O'HAIRE

(commercial)

We see the new WCW TV Champion, Marty Janetty in the back.  He's all smiles and just staring at the belt.  Here is Arn Anderson.  He congratulates Janetty on winning that title and a good match.  Arn mentions that he's a former 4-time TV Champion and he's mighty fond of that title.  So how about next week on Nitro, Janetty defends the title against "The Enforcer"?  Janetty tells Arn that he knows what Arn has done and has a great deal of respect for him.  And if Arn wants a shot at the TV title, he's got it!  Next week, it's Janetty defending the WCW TV Title against Arn Anderson.  Arn smiles and tells Marty that he'd better enjoy this week as the Champion because next week, he's going to lose the belt to Arn... "and that's a promise!"

Terri Runnels is standing by with Diamond Dallas Page, Bam Bam Bieglow and Kanyon - The Triad.  They want to know why Tank Abbott and Hugh Morris are getting a title shot tonight against Kronik and it's not them.  Terri doesn't know.  DDP says it's all cool!  Because it doesn't matter who wins tonight.  He's already spoken to Eric Bischoff earlier and at Spring Stampede, it's the Triad taking on whoever happens to hold the WCW World Tag Team Championship.  Both Bam Bam & Kanyon also manage to get some comments in and we see the Triad close the segment with their classic "Bada Bam, Bada Bing, Bada Bang!"

We go back to Schiavone and company.  They talk about this new development in the tag team title picture and mention that Kronik defends the World Tag Team Championships against Tank Abbott and Hugh Morrus next!  Plus, still to come, it's Harley Race defending the WCW World Championship against Jeff Jarrett.

(commercial)

We come back and Terri Runnels is with Soce, Tank Abbott, Rico and Hugh Morrus.
Soce plugs his newest CD, "The Lemonade Incident" (available at http://www.greathiphop.com/) and then talks about the World Tag Team Championship match against Kronik.  Kronik is not 100% and against his team, you'd better be 100% or else you're in for a world of trouble. Terri asks about the Triad and Rico replies that they'd better stand in line.  Tonight is their night and they plan on becoming the new World Tag Team Champions.  And now they're going to the ring.

We go to ringside and here comes Diamond Dallas Page, Bam Bam Bigelow and Kanyon - The Triad.  They join Tony Schiavione, Mark Madden and Dutch Mantell at ringside.  They're going to help with the commentary during this match.  We then cut to David Pezner who makes the introductions for the next match.

WCW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
BRIAN ADAMS & BRYAN CLARK - KRONIK (c) versus TANK ABBOTT & HUGH MORRUS (with Soce the Elemental Wizard & Rico)

It's obvious that Kronik is not 100% as they climb into the ring.  They're also not thrilled about having The Triad at ringside.  As Adams & Clark verbally spar with DDP and Kanyon at ringside, Abbott & Morrus attack from behind.  It's a vicious assault that sends Clark to the floor where he is nailed by a stiff chair shot by Rico.  Adams is in the ring and is just being pounded upon by the double-team tactics of Abbott and Morrus.  Adams manages to duck a clothesline and flattens Morrus with a brutal clothesline of his own.  Fists by Adams and he makes it to his corner for the tag, but Clark isn't there.  He's still laid out on the floor from the earlier assault.  Adams manages to keep the offense going though and suplexes Abbott to the floor.  The ref gets bumped in the process though and goes down in the corner.  We see DDP jump up and run into the ring and administer a picture-perfect Diamond Cutter to Adams while Kanyon and Bigelow go after Bryan Clark who is still injured on the outside of the ring.  Soce is in the ring as well and pulls the referee into position as Morrus does the "No Laughing Matter" moonsault on to the prone body of Brian Adams in the center of the ring.  The referee counts the pin and we have new World Tag Team Champions...
Winners:  HUGH MORRUS & TANK ABBOTT (with Soce the Elemental Wizard & Rico)

We see the Triad leave the ringside area after the pin.  DDP high-fives Soce as they walk by and Tony Schiavone states the obvious that it was all a plan and set up by The Triad and Soce's team.  We see the referees checking on Clark and Adams as Morrus & Tank raise the belts in the air and celebrate with Rico and Soce.

(commercial)

We come back and Schiavone is still complaining that it took seven men to beat Kronik.  We see a replay of the ending of the match as Morrus makes the pin and get the win and titles for his team.  Mantell mentions that in every title match so far tonight on Nitro, the belts have changed hands.  That might not be a good omen for the WCW World Champion, Harley Race.

We cut to backstage where Terri Runnels is standing by with Soce, Rico, Tank & Morrus.  They told everyone that they would become the champions and they did it... all by themselves.  Terri asks about the outside assistance from DDP and the Triad.  Soce asks Terri if she forgot to put her contacts in tonight.  He never saw any interference.  He did see Page trying to be helpful and offer Kronik some assistance in getting up, but there's nothing wrong with that.

DDP and the Triad step into the picture. Hugs are exchanged as DDP, Kanyon and Bigelow offer the Elemental Warriors congratulations on becoming  the new champions.  But they better remember who helped put the titles around their waists.  Soce assures DDP that he never forgets a favor and that the Triad will get their title shot at Spring Stampede.  DDP just wants to make sure that Soce & his gang remember that.  But for now, it's party time!  Soce mentions a club he knows of. "Lead on" says DDP and the Triad and Elemental Warriors leave together as Terri sends it back to Tony Schiavone and Co. at ringside.

Tony and Co. plug the main event - WCW World Championship match as Champion Harley Race defends against "The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett... and it's coming up next!

(commercial)

David Penzer is in the ring preparing to introduce the main event when we see a ruckus taking place towards the back of the arena.  We see Sean "X-Pac" Waltman arguing with security  as he attempts to come towards the ring area.  We see WCW officials come out and attempt to reason with Waltman as he is determined to get to the ring.  Eric Bischoff appears and orders security to "arrest him" and we see the guards swarm Waltman and handcuff him as he's led out the arena.  Bischoff notices the cameras filming this situation and says "go to commercial.. now!"

We come back and David Penzer makes the introductions for the main event.

WCW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
HARLEY RACE (c) versus JEFF JARRETT

As the two men lock up, the announcers are careful not to mention the incident that occured before the break with Sean Waltman.  They talk about the reputation and career of Harley Race and what Jarrett will have to do to beat the champ.  We see a great exchange of holds, but tempers quickly start to flare as Jarrett rips at the eyes of Race before starting to work on the knee of the nine-time champ.  Jarrett scores with a kneebreaker and goes for a figure-four, but Race wraps him into a small package for two.  Jarrett quickly escapes and goes back on the offensive with fists and kicks to the leg.  It's all Jarrett until he decides to go for a backdrop and sets too early.  Race uses a big knee to knock Jeff senseless and starts pounding with some hard lefts to the noggin.  Big suplex by Race and he covers for two.  Jarrett fights back and we see both men exchanging chops and punches.  Jarrett struts for a second after nailing Race with a borderline low blow and picks up Harley for a suplex.  Race reverses the suplex and sends Jarrett crashing down to the mat with a big suplex of his own.  Both men are down.  As they rise to their knees, we see fists flying.  Jarrett grabs Race and rolls him into a small package and grabs the tights for extra leverage.  Race just barely manages to kick loose at two.  Jarrett is feeling it now and goes for the figure four leglock, but Race tucks Jarrett and cradles him while using an hand on the ropes for extra leverage.  The referee counts three and it's over.
Winner and still WCW Champion:  HARLEY RACE

Jarrett is complaining to the referee about Race using the ropes to get the pin as Race raises the WCW World Title in the air to celebrate.  Jarrett reaches outside the ring and grabs his guitar, swinging wildly at Race.  Race moves at the last second and Jarrett misses the guitar shot.  Race nails Jarrett with the World title belt.  As Jarrett goes down, we see Race look at the dropped guitar.  He picks it up and crashes it hard over the head of Jeff Jarrett.  Jeff is down and the guitar is trashed.  Race smirks as he raises the World Title Belt high above his head and looks down at the fallen Jarrett.

We fade out.

THE END....
